Oh I assumed. Well i already applied for the gathering with fanime.  So we will be listed. A lot of kro people arent active on fanimes site. So, just spread the word :)
If you submitted a gathering, maybe make a Facebook event for it since no one seems to be active on here??

There was a thread for Black butler from 2012-2015, but it seems like it has gone quiet? http://forums.fanime.com/index.php/topic,17623.0.html
Yeah, but that was many years ago. We want a recent 2018 one. Other groups have done the same thing... adding a date next to it to make sure we keep with the current year...

Oh dang. I have a photoshoot conflict...otherwise I'd say I could show up as Kim Possible...

I already started a thread but no response...

Sunday works for me though to be in attendance. :)

$20 sounds like a pretty good deal to me...

The website isn't actually very helpful: https://www.fanime.com/rules/weapons-policy/

My general advice would be make the sword a size that you will have no problem walking around with or in/out of doors with.

You will receive the digital negatives of the photos within one week of the convention’s end, with two edited shots of your choice.

What exactly do you mean by digital negatives? Are they essentially the unedited photos?

I have a Dancer Nobody cosplay I wore for the tail end of the KH gathering two years ago. I could wear it again tentatively for this year...

Does no one cosplay from Black Butler anymore?

*thread bump*

Make sure to follow all the rules and guidelines from the previous year as they most likely will stay the same. Gather all of your cosplayers information ahead of time.
As long as they stick the rules and guidelines of Asian-inspired entries only, cause last year I found that really unfair.

Regardless though, I'm glad I'm not the only one having "issues" with the lack of updates. Thanks all! I will just have to remain patient. :)

Big Event Showcase / 2018 forms for competing in masquerade

According to the fanime website, forms to compete in the masquerade would be up at the end of January. There is nothing on the website that I can see. I've reached out to masquerade @ fanime as well as cosplay @ fanime and no response (perhaps I'm anxious) on when the forms will be available. I'd like to compete this year, but don't want to miss the deadline. Do we know when forms will be available?

Hey all! I'm working on a Shinigami Undertaker cosplay for Fanime this year and I would love there to be a gathering of some sort to meet some people with similar love for the fandom!

Took a bunch of random shots...and a bunch from the FMA gathering as well as the Doctor Who gathering: http://s45.photobucket.com/user/rawien_8706/library/2016%20Fanime?sort=2&page=1 -- Feel free to snag whichever ones you're in!

Took a bunch of photos from the gathering earlier. I also posted this link in the Facebook event. Feel free to snag the ones you're in!
(Yes, sorry, I'm the loser who still uses photobucket...)

Hey, just know you're not alone. I have the same problem, but mine was a single entry with no music or choreography!
