Hi....the Grid schedule for Fanime says this is Sunday at 1pm at the Snake Statue. (It's how I realized there might actually be a gathering I could do since planning a Caleb cosplay). So...um...when is the gathering? ^^

I registered 3 other people under myself shortly after the Twitter post for reg appeared on the first day. Each one using their actual info, Including email addresses. We all got the email for the same date and time. Checking with one to see if the confirmation numbers are the same...they aren't.

So after fighting with this damn thing for nearly 5 hours on anything you can possibly think of, I managed the Doubletree. But I wanted Fairmont. There's usually a waitlist for hotels so is it up yet and how do we get on it?

How the hell are people getting in on any phone line? I just get busy and error signals! What does it hate cell phones?

Even the phones...I get between a busy signal and an error message saying the call didn't go through...

"Soon" is the best answer you're gonna get. ^^ Sometime between now and Thursday, though at least the Panels section of the website has date/location info so you can plan a little from there.

I'll have a Jack Frost as well, and my friend Sama is going to be Hiccup (First movie, with a very large shield^^)

You need to post this on the Gathering List sticky at the top too if you want it counted in. The deadline is this Friday at like 1pm PST.

Yes, thank you for bringing back small groups. We've never had more than maybe 4, usually 3 people, and it's so much easier for me to be the Leader and send the others to get into the hotel or get food while I'm waiting. Especially as I'm the local and handle all the money.

Some newer rooms u need your keycard to flush the toilets.

That just seems weird and suspicious to me. I've been staying in the Fairmont for a few years now, and never gotten a room like that.

Also, your room key IS the keycard for the elevator. And to get through the South Tower door if I remember correctly.

Did he call Fanime Housing...or did he call the hotel? 'Cause the hotel's gonna know nothing.

I was trying to get the Hilton for Thursday thru Monday as well and try as I might, couldn't get it at ALL to show up. Finally had to settle for Fairmont and Friday thru Monday. And I was trying exactly at 10am.

I'm wondering if there were ANY Thursday rooms at the Hilton. Hell, rooms at all...it never once showed up for me.

They did have them, cause i was able to book thursday thru monday.

So maybe they had very few, or it's a casualty of the website crashing every two seconds. That's annoying.

If you are really into cosplay, it can feel like you're being left out and something is missing if you aren't cosplaying at a con. I've felt that myself. However if you're not into cosplay, or it's no big deal to you then you're going to have fun either way. Sounds more like the others can't see beyond themselves.
