This year I think we're having a stricter rule on cosplaying while on Duty...that hasn't been 100% finalized, but I believe it is going into enforcement this year.

^^ And if Eric creeps you out, please let me know so I can put him back in his cage.

This thread just keeps getting revived every month. Some people don't even look like the pictures they've posted up anymore (With the exception of Jerry haha).

Staff & Volunteers / Re: Rovers issue from 2010
December 06, 2010, 11:01:40 AM
I tell all people who have issues with Rovers to take the name of the Rover and their staff badge ID/Number.

As Jerry said, unless there was a reason for the Rover to suspect you were doing something wrong then there really should have been no reason for it.

Despite the fanime forums being on simple machines, it really is a piece of craptastic software... ::)

phpBB, vB, MyBB, or invisionboards ftw...

If your a creeper, I'm going to say this now.

Stay. Home. Saves me paperwork and stuff.

If I'm not off in another state working, then I shall be there as well.

If for no other reason than to just be there to blame Ebner.

Remember ladies and gentlemen, harassment is NOT okay in the real world...neither is stalking. So please, don't do it at Fanime, especially during/after Speed Dating.

Thanks,

I would highly recommend people to apply via our forums.

Current management from other departments may apply, but be warned, you get no special treatment.

Unfortunately for you Daniel, you were not at many of these meetings where there were Pies, Cakes, Ice Cream, or Cookies.
#95
I thought it was cool, but I definitely wouldn't spend my entire day there. lol

No really, most of the time we find ourselves with cookies, pie, or cake at one point or another.

Rovers is again recruiting for the 2011 Fanime Convention.

REQUIREMENTS OF ROVERS:

You MUST be able to walk 7+ hours (If you can't, this is NOT the department for you).
You MUST be 18 years old or over by the time of the first day of convention.
You MUST be willing to work the mandatory Fanime 24 hours over the course of the convention.

Duties include but are NOT limited to:

1) Line Control
2) Peace Bonding
3) Radio/Base
4) General Wandering/Roving
5) Customer Service (I.E. you will likely be flagged down with questions, comments, or concerns)
6) Escort Duties (Only a select few do these jobs)
7) Gopher (For when stuff just needs to get done)

If you are interested, please email Rovers [at] Fanime [dot] com.

Thank you,

-Steve

again, nice try.

What is your problem? Really? What's the deal? Your mom not hug you enough when you were a kid?

Follow the rules or be escorted out. I have plenty of staff to catch photography, and during An Cafe, I have personally escorted dozens of people out. You think this is a laughing matter? Haha, I'm not laughing. Their management has specifically asked for no photography, which is a policy I will enforce. It is very disrespectful to be acting so childish.

In my experience as a Sharks fan and often frequent traveler to downtown San Jose, the SJCC is far enough from the action that the parking situation would not adversely affect you too much.

Which is good, makes my job easier (I.E. I don't have to do it!)  ;D
