Here's a very basic question about anime.

I voted "drama/love story," but I'd just like to say that this was a really close call.  I guess the romantic in me just won out, eh?  :)

Yeah I dont think I can pick one specific genre cause my fav series are pretty much from different ones.

Although for the sake of the poll I picked mech/sci fi because of my love of gundam and macross.

well, I chose undecided cause I don't have a particular genre of anime that I like. I like all the good stuff that comes out, but at the moment, my fav series so far up to this point has to be Chobits and Gatekeepers.

I seem to be the only one who voted comedy so far <<; I would have voted the love story but I find comical situations more appealing. I'm a laugher. I need to laugh  :D  Ha ha. See?

Yeah you usually cant go wrong with a mecha series, whether its the more serious type like Gundam or Macross, or say something along the lines of comedy like Dual.  At least in my opinion.

Tony already explained.  What more explaination do you need?
Title: A VERY basic question
Post by: Foxwolfe on October 27, 2002, 11:31:02 PM
Well sorry but tony explained it wrong!  There is no
  • button in the top-right corner of my posts.  But there is a box I can check under the other boxes (attach sig, disable smilies, etc) to delete them, which Im almost positive wasnt there before.  I searched well and hard, then all of a sudden I spot it with ease when not looking for it, so oh well.

    So there.

I can't really choose one either, but if I had to, I guess I'm a romantic comedy fan.

I also really like weird, confusing animes like Lain and Boogiepop Phantom (okay, I only got to the first episode, but it looks really interesting so far).

But LoveComedy is what you watch all the time anywayss......

I mean, I think you're the one person who actually survived the whole Love Hina Series.
Title: A VERY basic question

Kima, for your information, I've seen all the LH anime and read all the manga.  Yes, 25 TV episodes, 2 TV specials, 3 OVA episodes, and 123 manga chapters.
Title: A VERY basic question
Post by: Suspicious on November 19, 2002, 08:48:40 PM
there was this huge thing at our anime club where people litterally got bored to death of Love Hina.  I guess it's one of those things you need to watch in one large dose.

Hey, I know girls that like LH too.  They may not be drawn in by all the girls, but they like it because they find a very good, touching story somewhere in there.  Personally, that's why it's my favorite manga.  The darn pretty girls are just a plus.  A really big plus.

I like the little sister. Then Motoko.....cause she wears what kana wears once.

I like that kind of clothing.....
Title: A VERY basic question
Post by: Tsubasa on November 22, 2002, 08:36:29 AM
Motoko only dons Kanako's attire twice (gotta love the outfit in ch. 108 :) ).  Most of the time, she seems to have a penchant for wearing suits.  Unless it's summer, in which case she dons a tanktop and shorts.  Of course, this is manga only because in the anime you get a horrible variety of clothing.

I gotta love romantic comedies.  I watched the whole Marmalade Boy series in about a week.  That's 80 episodes.  I spent a lot of that week on my ass. >.>  But that's what summer is for.
