Not going to lie, if I see a Nero cosplayer I'm going to have a hard time not calling them dead weight.

In relation to the game, he was salty for an entire month about it lol.

There was a Jojo themed one in 2018, how did that one turn out?

I didn't even know there was one at fanime at all. I'd too love to hear how it turned out.

Food is a major no no as it was explained once before by the hosts of stage zero.

It essentially boils down to legality reasons why they can't personally serve food.

That makes sense. You'd be opening yourself up to a lot of liability issues if you can't 💯 guarantee the food quality.

Still, I'd be cool to have a guest that is centered around the theme of cooking though, given this years theme.

The only bypass rule would probably have participants sign a waver. But that's going to be a lot of trouble tying up loopholes that could be exploited.

Just an idea I had. Depending on room size and number of participants I can think up a few types of puzzles and scenarios.

But I'm curious if this would be interesting.

There use to be techshop. But it was closed down.

What sort of replaced it is a place called TheShop. It has everything you'll need to build whatever you want.

There are a few other makerspace/hackspaces floating around California. Just a matter of looking around.

I believe that was the fourth question in the email that asked how much time did you need to get your panel together in the event that someone dropped out.

I thought this might be a helpful panel for people who might be interested in adding practical effects to their props such as lights or movements as I'll go over simple terms, designs, and how to apply them. Not sure if anyone is interested. But I figured I would put this out there.

Day: TBA (aiming for Saturday)
Room: TBA
Time: TBA
Running Time: 1 hour

Monty Oum gathering has been put aside for now as I've been waiting a couple years for the others to appear. But they haven't and that's fine.

RWBY was co-created by Monty Oum and Roosterteeth. This series is a action comedy based off characters from fairy tales, myths, legends, and historic figures.

Please feel free to stop by and participate!

FanimeCon will be taking photographs at this years' Gathering/Event. If you do not want to be photographed, please step off to the side while those photos are being taken. By staying with the group while those photos are being taken, you are giving your permission to be photographed.

Day: Sunday
Time: 4 PM
MP: G3
L: G3

If there are any suggestions anyone would like to bring up for the gathering or certain photo shots please post. I clearly underestimated how short 30 minutes was. So I definitely need to be more organized and efficient with the time.

Thank you for your hard work as usual CGD. Everything during my gathering was good. Especially my assigned photographer was super helpful who helped me call out the photo shoots since I can't speak very loud for very long.

However the only problem I had was the beginning due to the discrepancy caused by the misprints on the guide books. Officially and at the info desks my gathering was at G6. But in the guidebooks it said G7. So I had to spend 30 minutes running back and forth making sure sure everyone was in the right place. Thankfully I managed to reroute/catch quite a few people and take them to the right spot. Though I'm not sure if I got everyone.

Otherwise everyone was great and enjoyed the gathering.

Is it true that if you want to enter, it has to be based from something Japanese?

Well Asian related really as it can be Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, and etc.

Obvious examples are pretty much any anime/manga/manhwa.

But you can also use themes or characters from videogames which originate from Asian companies or culture. Examples of this are games produced by Capcom, Nintendo, Square Enix, Konami, Sega, and etc. They are all within the rules to use.

There are also cases of shows related to Asian themes such as shows like Avatar the last airbender was OK.

I hope this helped.

I was wondering this too... Its been a couple years since I've done Fanime's masquerade and I know even then getting the form was a struggle. So no one has any actual updates right?

If worse comes to worse they do have an on site sign up in one of the halls in case one of the people who signed up online doesn't show up. Just come prepared with your recordings and everything should be fine.
