how about we meet at the second floor of the Marriott by the big windows where the gaia panel usually is. You can literally look down and see the outside area where the trees are and people photo-shooting under them.

How about around 8pm on Thursday and again around 9pm on Friday, for those who couldn't make it to the Thursday meet up?

I just remembered that we can't really use the arcade front wall at night due to the Swap Meet that they have been doing. That takes up the whole front of the arcade floor. So, as good as an idea that is, we can't use it, at least not during the evening times on Thursday, Friday or Saturday.

But I like the Hotel lobby idea and the patio area ideas as well.

As mentioned by echoshadow with the image, of all those areas, I know that area's 1 and 2 are usually pretty empty of people throughout most of the con. Area 4, being the Maid Cafe, is pretty empty after around 6 or 7pm when it closes. As for the other areas, they are pretty busy with foot traffic and other con go'ers, but in front/inside of the hotels can also work, as I have seen those areas become quite empty throughout the con as well.

I prefer the idea of meeting at a hotel lobby or somewhere quieter than the arcade.

Well, if we all decided to meet up late at night, we could meet up where the Maid Cafe is? It is pretty quiet there after all the maids leave for the evening, and there are tables and chairs there for people to sit, if they wanted to sit. Just another idea.

I think finding a time and place to meet up will work...

I agree on a time and place and mabye if everyone has some free time we all can have lunch to meet and talk a bit. :)

I'm down. A lunch/dinner meet up and/or other meet up would be fun. Anyone have an idea of a good time to meet up, or should we wait until the event schedule is set up to figure it out?

WOW now I really want to see what is happening late at night. That will be something I will do right away, mabye friday or sat night.

Personally, I suggest Saturday night, since Friday is still having people settling in and getting pumped up for Saturday. If you haven't seen some of the antics that have happened in the past, you should check youtube for some videos. People have posted a few things that have happened during some of the late nights.

Everyone has talked about awesome late nights! I want to be up at 3 or 2 in the morning doing something so random.

Oh trust me, at that hour, it is the best. Some really wacky things happen at that time.
Plus, with the dance hall still going, videos being played, games in the game hall still going and people getting drunk, it truly is the best time to be at Fanime during those hours of the night. Haha

I am currently working on my outfit, and trying to convince 2~3 of my friends to dress up as well. So far we know one of us will be Spider-Man, who is still being worked out. Still working out the details on everyone else in my group. Once we know for certain who is going, and is willing to dress up, I will post again with the details.

Me again. So, it's a bit more official. One of my friends will be dressed up as Symbiote Spider-Man and I will be Spider-Man from the Mangaverse.

I think that they make some good games, but compared to what they use to make, they have dropped the ball. Now it's all pretty pictures and videos, while the story is a bit lacking. In my opinion.

Is this boy/girl only kind of thing? Would like to try it out this year been so shy to try it out in previous years x'D

I'm pretty sure that they mentioned that they would have other types of speed dating services this year as well as the standard boy/girl. You will have to check out the official post when they release the info...  on Tuesday.

So to everyone in this forum... only 26 days till fanime. Everyone excited? Costumes done? Packed? Not sleeping? Fanime dreams? Anything new? ???

So excited!! Costume is almost done. One last thing needed to be complete, and it is taking me a lot of time to get it just right. Hoping to get my ticket conformation soon, and I can't wait to meet some, if not all, of you at the con!!   :D

I am curious if anyone knows of, or has a place that they prefer to go to, that can make some custom shirts? Cause the shirt I want to have made for my costume is a little more complicated then just a simple press on image.

Any and all help would be appreciated. :)

I think if they posted the schedule on it's own webpage and put QR codes around the event, or posted what the website was, that posted up signs all over the halls, people could figure out what was going on a bit easier and not miss out on things. And I think there would be less confusion over the whole thing.

You know... I just realized something. Everyone wants to check out a lot of things at the con, so I hope that this year they don't do what they did last year and make everyone have to go through their phones or print out a schedule at home before going to the con. I wish they at least improve that feature this year, cause last year, it made it hard to figure out what, at least for me and my friends, we wanted to do.

You get the Imperium Silver Crystal, but it has a giant crack in it and seems to be missing a chip of it.
