Quote from: "Blues"okay, let's try and keep ideas within the realm of plausibility.
you wanna keep it within the realm of plausibility, you say?? then lets make fun of the recent dick cheney gun incident, MT style:

Dom: i accidentally shot ed in the face. so?
reporter: but is it true that you had alcohol before the incident?
Dom: yea, but ed dared me to. my reputation was on the line, man! what would you do in a situation like that? huh??? 8)

hey Meli, you might have to change me to a maybe because i can't guarantee if i will be going this year. i am still working on robo-ky, but don't keep your hopes up right now. :(

hello everyone! its been awhile since i have posted in this thread(ive been having internet screwup on me). as of right now, i don't know if i will even be able to make it fanime this year. the reasons:
no job
no secure method of money
no secure method of transportation
etc., etc., the list goes on. i am still trying to come up with game ideas and other scenarios, but at the moment, things aren't looking to good for me fanime-wise. :(

yea, how do you get into stage zero? because if i dont do the 'whose line' show , i was maybe thinking of doing a game show for stage zero(kinda like jeopardy, in a sense) but i dont know who to pitch the idea to...

Quote from: "Jyunishinsho"We need a rent-a-zilla, mosh mosh revolution, and Fanime challenge=Super Monkey Ball outside of the con.
hah! thats great, but that would work better as a short video/skit during the panel(film video before the day of the panel)

If there's one on-going theme to the GTL show, it's throwing shit together the day before...

And I've just been struck with an idea of how to do it... I don't know if I'm a genius, or just a lunatic...
please share with us how you plan on doing it

Quote from: "Lilghost"Nope, not me. I'm the one that told Largo he'd grade better if he put the beer down a couple seconds and used both hands.
Largo grades best with b33r in him! hey, that should be a grading system(i.e. 5 b33rs= A+)!

Quote from: "Nemo"Fear not my friends, for Stage Zero will blow you away.  I am currently working on content that is far from the norm and will be sure to make a mark on your convention going experience.

See you in six months!
i kinda need a somewhat better description of what/how stage zero is going to be set up and how it is going to be run/work, because at this point with the beautiful description there is here, i don't actually know much about it at all. plus, i need to know how the format of the show is going to be done.

replying to mike's and blues' posts:

i understand that this was your show to start with and it must have been very hard to get it going, and i don't want to take/steal the concept from you guys. i do have alot of motivation for this show(i have planned things already and gathered performers) and to keep it going as long as possible, but not without giving credit where credit is due.

having more than four panelists does start to make things a little bit iffy.

Blues, i also went to the GTL panel, and by looking at the massiveness(is that even a word?) of it, i can clearly see that it took a lot of hard work and effort to get it to where it is today.

i myself would feel better if we combined efforts, making the show better with each others' own unique spin on the games.

having one person host one night and the other host another night, wit the other person doing like a guest spot seems like a good idea, as well.

leishu is right (on some aspects); since '05s' whose line debut(when i was merely a audience member), i've benn trying to come up with ideas for the show, but i'd rather not 'duke it out' as he so elequently put it.

John(director of stage zero) had asked me if i wanted to do this for stage zero, but at the time i did not even consider the idea of running the whole thing by myself. yes, i have gone through the process of trying to recruit panelists by testing them on their comedic genius(some of the people im considering are pretty goo, 'specially leishu...damn, he's funny!), but as i had said earlier, i'd rather not duke it out with you, man, but i have put effort into this as well. i also think it would also be kinda weird having two panels/events with the same title in them.

me becoming a panelist? i don't know about that, as how i kinda get a little bit of stage-fright, especially up in front of a whole lot of people(my face turns red really freaking quick!!); i'd kinda prefer being a host. maybe there could be a co-host(i.e. me?)?

who else wants to join? i need at least 2-3 more performers for this before i can decide.
#1957
one more, just for fun:
game:scenes from a hat
scene:things that happen in anime that would/should never happen in real life
#1958
"hey! where's godzilla? he was supposed to start attacking tokyo an hour ago!"
#1959
that was good, but im gonna give you another one

game:scenes from a hat
Scene: moments when you've realized that anime has blurred your sense of reality

(show me something original, something i've never heard before)

Quote from: "Gainax Boy"Sign me up ^__^

That is, if you still are looking for performers :)
haven't talked with the director of stage zero about this yet, but let me test your comedic genius. here's your shot:

game: scenes from a hat
scene: parts of final fantasy Vll: advent children that got left out

give me your best
