Happy Things in the Happy Universe / Re: Previously on Fanime

"Hello, [insert name here]. I want to play a game.

Right now, the elevator you are on has just locked up between the 11th and 12th floor. Inside with you right now are five other people, with no connection to each other. In the call box is a timer set for two minutes; it will begin to count down once this message has ended.

Your task is to find out which one of these people ripped me off 30 FRIGGIN' DOLLARS at the swap meet last night. If you fail to accomplish this before time runs out, a noxious gas will be released into the won't die, but its going to be the worst thing you have ever had to breathe..........Good Luck."

Live Programming and Events / Re: Stage Zero 2011 Feedback
« on: August 09, 2011, 05:17:29 PM »
I will offer my feedback as a con-goer, not staffer.

I like the central location of stage zero, but the obstruction to the walkway is horrendous. As a suggestion, perhaps a designated (roped off) standing area or less chairs and spread them out laterally to give the walkway a teeny bit more space..

I think the programming is fun, entertaining, and cool.  I think  you guys do a great job!
This has always been a problem; putting stanchions(or some type of blocking apparatus) separating the seating/standing area and the main walkway can work, but actually getting people not to stop in the walkway itself to watch is the part that is dealt with every year. Only real solution for that is having someone specifically stationed right there to make sure no one stops.

other ideas would be adjusting the size of the stage to incorporate extra space for seats, or to re-position the tech table to allow for chairs to be placed there.

Dr. Who/Torchwood

YES. Either as Ninth or Tenth Doctor, or "Day of the Moon" Rory Williams.

I loled!  :D
I'm good at what I do.

And now, time to start brainstorming for next year.

Since the turnout for 2012 ended up being a success (with others who cosplayed toku but did not know of the gathering also joining in), its coming back for a ground-breaking second season, and we're opening the doors a lot wider this time around.

Be it Kamen Rider Den-O or Ultraman Tiga, Hikounin Sentai Akibaranger or B-Fighter Kabuto(Big Bad Beetleborgs in the states), Space Sherrif Gavan or VR Troopers.....hell, we'll even Let Saban's Masked Rider come out and play for a bit. We can guarantee the action will be intense, the teamups will be awesome, the villains will keep trolling us, and Ikari Gai and Nobuo Akagi will be able to fangasm to their hearts content.

*if its awesome, it can join

Staff & Volunteers / Re: Staff Links Broken
« on: February 08, 2011, 10:00:34 PM »
I'm not on the web team, but I think that the link is temporary until the open positions are either transferred from this forum or added by the departments, none of which has happened yet.

AKA, no specific jobs in the system yet, so apply for one:)
I'm pretty sure I know which department you want people to apply for....

The link to the 'Open Positions' site directs you to the 'Staff Application' page.....not sure if this was intentional, but I thought I would bring it up.

Are the dates wrong? Fanime is really going to be from Saturday to Tuesday?
The date is only wrong at the top of the CMR hotel reservation page;  every other page on the main fanime site has it listed the way it needs to be.....I'm just letting tony know they missed a small error that might get bigger if it doesnt get fixed soon(crapton of emails regarding the official date, stuff like that).....and its also why something this big needs to be gone over with a fine-toothed comb.

Tony; you might want to check the hotel reservation site again; has the con dates listed from the 28th to the 31st at the top of the CMR page.

What: last-minute pre-christmas sushi dinner
Where: Sushi Factory
When: Thursday 12/23
Time: 7pm

Destroy all the escalators and stairs, and just stay on the concourse. Zombies don't understand the concept of elevators.

Is this m/l in boy or girl size
Seeing as how it is a male that is making the posting, I'm going to take a guess and say it is m/l in mens sizes.
