Just a FYI, Castro Valley Golfland has Technika with Platinum Crew!

So does Sunny Vale Golfland and Milpitas Golfland, but you have to wait in like an hour line just to play...

Castro Valley doesn't have long lines...

Hi, I'm just wondering about the hotel situation... Is there gonna be a Fanime guest price for the hotels? Last year I stayed at the Fairmont and it was $105 a night. I'm not sure if that was with the Fanime discount because its $169 a night this year...

Hello, I'm looking to buy an xbox 360 HDDVD player. Fry's sells them for $34.99, but that's too much money for something I'm just gonna rip apart.

I'm building a blue laser pointer, so I need the laser diode out of the drive.

If someone has one that they don't care about anymore or one that doesn't work (for reasons other then the laser diode going bad) I would like to buy it.

I'm looking to spend under $20, if that's possible, thanks.

Hi, I just want to know if anyone else has this drill and if so, do you know if it comes apart to change the battery? If anyone has gotten this thing apart, I'd like to know how you did it without breaking it. My goal is to make the drill pulse instead of just stay on when you flip the switch. I'll post a tutorial on how to do it once I figure it out, if anyone is interested.

Tuesday August 19th.

Hi, I work at Golden Tee Golfland in Castro Valley, and on Tuesday this random idea just came to me. Cosplay Mini Golf! So I talked to some friends, they liked the idea, I talked to our assistant manager, he like it, then I talked to my boss.... dun dun dun! HE LIKED IT!

The only down side. Costumes CAN NOT have mask's. This if for security reasons with Golfland

So my idea was that sometime this summer (a Thursday afternoon) we could have the entire lower golf course reserved for us (got the O.K. from the boss) He said we will make it $10 a person, it would be Golf and Arcade on free play. If this goes well. I want to make it a yearly event.

I would like to have food of some kind, I wanted to BBQ, but thats alot of stuff to buy so I was thinking maybe a potluck?

I want to promote this idea by making fliers. Only problem, sorta expensive. About $150-$200 for 5000 glossy fliers full color printed front and back(Help with the cost would be awesome) Golfland gave me the O.K. to use there logo and mascot. Since I cant draw, I'm asking for someone who can, to help me with the fliers and I know PhotoShop quite well. I want to use our dragon mascot cosplaying something LoL.

From what I hear, Chabot College is thinking about doing a Cosplay Picnic at Kennedy Park in San Lorenzo. Maybe they might be willing to move that event to Golfland, since it has been O.K'ed. [EDIT] I don't think they are going to be having the Cosplay Picnic... Just Kin Yobi Con at the Chabot College.

Anyone get any pictures of Helena from DOA that was there? I have 2, but there not very good... Anyways, she is my favorite character and that just made Fanime worth going to xD. Last year was my first fanime and part of the reason I went was to see a Helena cosplay. It didn't happen. I was sad  :'( This year, Fanime ROCKED Helena was there w00t.

(Not saying Fanime in general is anything less then AMAZING!)
