So all the artists that sold at the artist alley did you guys have a good time? :D

This was my first time selling and I forgot that I had to wake up early every day =__=; I was sooooo tired omigawddd

So I was wondering after your experience this year what are you going to change about your booth the next year? For ex. Did you make keychains but realized that people really loved stickers too so you want to make stickers for next year?

Also what other projects were you thinking of doing? For ex. Make more prints or pins etc.

I realized that a lot of people wanted pins/buttons (but I don't have a button maker so I borrowed my friends) And I went online and made 1" pins which were a lot smaller than I imagined so I sold em for 50cents each-I actually made a nice sum of money for selling things for only 50cents

I was also thinking this year to make more mini prints-which I am going to put on ultra heavy glossy cardstock (so basically postcard paper)
And was wondering if I should do double sided color pictures? For ex. have Loki on one side and Thor or something on the other? But then I'd price it to be a bit more-so I'd sell my one sided ones to be $3-$4 and then my double sided ones would be $4-6
But then I thought that might be too much for a mini 4x6 print so it might be better if I just one sided them instead so if people wanted only Loki they could get Loki instead of both. What do you think?

Sorry if this post is so long-just wondering how everyones artist alley experience went! I met some really awesome and nice artists when I went to artist alley too which made me really happy!

So right now I am debating whether to make my keychains shrinkydink ones or laminated ones.

Shrinky dink ones are ones where I would print it out on shrinkydink printable paper then cut it out and put it in the oven.

Laminated ones are when I print it on computer paper then laminate it and cut it out.

For both I will be using cell phone lariat straps with lobster clasps.

I was just thinking what are the pros and cons of these and which ones do you think are more popular and better to use?

For Shrinky Dinks you only have to cut them out once...and they are thick and harder to break I guess
Laminated ones you have to cut them out twice and sometimes it's messy since its hard to cut laminated plastic.

Also anyone know a good website to get cell phone lariats with lobster clasps?

Live Programming and Events / Artist Alley Hours
February 17, 2012, 09:44:05 PM
So I read this and it says fanime opens at 8 on Fridays
http://www.facebook.com/events/218764634820566/

And I was wondering what were the hours for fanime artist alley. I swear I read about the hours before but I can't seem to find the hours again TT___TT

I was wondering if it is possible to add another seller underneath your name after one has been accepted?
I was also wondering how this worked since there is no "Share table" option in the fanime application.
Also if one was to add another seller underneath your name after one has been accepted to the artist alley-would the fanime staff have to look over your application again and would their be a chance of them dropping you?

Also-there are only two seats in fanime artist alley right? What if one person is selling by themselves and the other person they are sharing the table with has "two" artists (So basically one sketches/colors etc) They work together basically to create items-if they BOTH get sellers permits would they be able to both sell items even though that means there is technically three artists at the table? (Basically the artist that sit together will "switch off" when they sell stuff pretty much.
Is that possible?

That is all the questions I have for now I will have more later on I think.

So I got accepted to artist alley and everything and did all the steps and a step 7 it says my registration is completed.
I already have my sellers permit so I put that in in the beginning however I haven't been assigned for a table/seating yet. Do I just wait and then they will email me saying "Oh this is your table number woot!"
And that is it or do I have to do something else?

I am just making sure just in case. (First time at artist alley want to make sure I do everything right D: )

So I know Artist Alley signups are this upcoming weekend but I have a couple questions-

First:
The artist alley agreement does that have to be filled out before we register for the artist alley? Do we have to attach it to something when we fill out the artist alley registration?

Secondly:
Does a person need a sellers permit before they sign up for the artist alley this year? I heard that one was needed and if so that would suck because it takes two weeks for them to deliver :<

Thank you so very much!
