Would Inspector Spacetime be in this as well?

May have a Waluigi and Mario coming as well, a friend and I decided fanime looked fun and are heading down last minute.

Oh god, the music was terrible. It was some mix of top 40s crap mixed with EDM beats. I like top 40s, I like EDM, but together it sounded like a mess. The DJ was terrible and kept screwing up the tempo. First it's slow, then it's fast. I really hope they're not getting paid for this.

I feel ya. I've never been to the dance/rave event so I decided to go this year...it felt like being a chaperone at a middle school dance. I hope they decide to split the ages for 18+ and 18- next year.

Ah, member when the dances actually played anime OSTs? Those were the days.

I've never known any Dj's at other cons to get payed, so hopefully not.

The addition of the rave I find somewhat contradictory. You always see people getting into a 'dance off' but Anime cons are supposed to be kind of a nerd sanctuary. One the biggest stereotypes about nerds is that they are not very athletic.

Stereotypes are not the standard, hate to break it to you.
Are you yourself not athletic? Go work out maybe!
If its not your thing, then cool.
But because I'm a runner and have some dance moves, that doesn't mean I'm not as 'nerdy' as other congoers.

Your right. They are not standard. Not everyone who is unathlectic is just lazy.

Even though I've survived a terminal illness longer than I should have it almost completely destroyed my body. I'm fortunate I can still walk.

As for 'working out' I work my ass off, but it's just enough to keep me from getting too fat.

There ya go! You yourself are a testament to breaking that stereotype!
Good on ya man! [girl... I can't tell gender from post... <__<"]
Don't stop the fight!

Hey Ya'll it's MECHA LINCOLN
Friday and saturday, I met some really cool groups while wandering around post midnight, one group was monopoly, the other was some weird bar game... dragon inn I believe, and I only remember one person's name, Milo, the girl with the sailor moon  shirt. All of you should hit me up, you were awesome.
And if Mecha Lincoln happened to be someone YOU missed a connection with, I'm right here yo!

EDIT:

OH MAN AND HOW COULD I FORGET THE ROLE PLAYER FROM THE NERD COURTING ROOM! Even though you guys were run over by a car when you failed to get the girl, I'd still love to hear from you guys again!

Staff & Volunteers / Staff meeting

So the one in feburary on the tenth, I was wondering if anyone was coming from the sacramento area, and if so, if they'd like to do a carpool.
Money is pretty tight for most of us right now, so I thought that we could help each other out in a situation like this.
If this is the wrong forum to post this, feel free to delete it.

^ nowhere particularly interesting, though monday I will be going out to alta city to grab my friend from Germany and entertain her for a couple days.

<good luck with those classes.  They are online, so you have complete control over when you get them done!

> thought he would hate cons, and is now planning for his second one, Sac Anime.

VWould you contemplate doing a No More Heroes Cosplay ever?

Well, what if we did it a bit like Pokemon Snap, where the final pictures are shown, people choose one to put up from a character to see if theirs is the best.

Think I might try for a Gengar next year. Could be interesting making it!

So apparently there were a few No More Heroes cosplayers on saturday, and that, got me thinking: We should get a NMH gathering. And, while we are at it, why not just throw in Killer Seven,  Lollipop Chainsaw, and the others as well?
Would people be willing to do this?

The latest books I've read were some of the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett.  I'm fond of fantasy, some sci-fi, horror, mysteries, and planning on re-reading some Jules Verne.
Yeeaahhh Pratchet is the man!
Highly recommend picking up Good Omens, co cowrote it with Neil Gaiman

I'm a fan of king in theory.
People tell me about his work and it sounds fantastic, especially the dark tower.
I just never get time to read him!

I once had a dream that I met a lovely girl at fanime and we hit it off and I was happy. And then I woke up.
I was lucky to not have that be a dream this year, but I can't find her anywhere.

I really like the idea of tournaments. you can even have a tournament happen at once per day while other games are just going on themselves, keeping major rules to that tournament and less nazish on the single games

A little late nite, but if you have the same looks next year (provided you don't grow put your hair, change ethnicity magically,  etc) you could pull off a good Holly Summers from No More Heroes. Bring a shovel.
