What's so attractive about death note cosplay?  I don't get it.

Because Death note kick so much ass thats why it's so attractive. Besides, you have girls dressing up in tight outifits which is the real attraction. ;D

Go to at least two gatherings.
Volunteer or perhaps join staff... Maybe at Maid Cafe.

Same here 08' was good...no it wasn't. 08 con was AMAZING!!!!!! but anyways I also want to meet new people, because last year I didnt really talk to anyone so this year I want to talk to new people and make new friends.

Lol. Of course Fanime is going to have housing this year! you know how much the fanime and the local hotels would lose? my estimate is over 5,000 easily. Without those hot sexy deals they had at 08 con then, that would only bring less customers and people would have to find alternative places to go to sleep. That would mean that people have to go further out (Yes further from fanime convention)to find cheap hotel/motels.

try somewhere in the tens of hundreds of thousands of dollars(one room alone goes for around $400 for the whole con weekend, and 12 easily surpasses 5k)Point proven. What concerns me is that at the last day of fanime (Sunday) in the morning at stage zero, they announce that the price for a full weekend pass was gonna be cheaper (I think $25) and you can register as of now of a hotel room. Some of these forums on here are saying that it's actually gonna be even more than what it cost this year (I think it said $45) So can someone that knows the answer to this please tell me so I'll know before fanime comes around!!!! thanks ;D

What days would be good for you guys (Weekends is always good, because I have school during the week, or should I say O.I.C.U has school during the week  8).

I'm usually free during the weekends as well. I could probably host a get together here at my place. Thing is, who would want to come?

Oakland here. I have an anime group, which we go out and find animeish places to hangout at. Were called the O.I.C.U (Otaku Intel Central Union) If you seem interested or want to join the group than PM me.

Crashing rooms...doesn't sound half bad, and it saves you money.... ;D. Naw I got my own room with a two of my friends, but if some ladies want to join then that would be better  8)

First off hello and greetings. Well this was my first Con and it was an awakening for my otaku-ness  ;D as far the hotel goes..... :-X well not so great. Me and my friends had to book a hotel that was FIVE miles away. We had no transportation at all besides our legs which we use to go back and forth. Half of it was our own fault because we look up hotels pretty late....like three weeks before fanime which this year had about 12,000 people kinda late  >:(. But the overall stay was the greaest thing that ever happen in my life. (Besides the all night rave party and then walking home with your feet killing you for five miles. But the rave itself was one of the best things in fanime!)Hope to see you all this fanime!. Oh please tell me it's not to late to register for a room?!  :o
