it's okay to cry and cannot obtain these things..
This is where Swap meet comes in.
Sometimes you may find something you may like thats better than what others would think..
and sometimes.. you may find something you wanted to have when your a kid.. but the price is affordable because its " heavily used"..


It's okay to feel sorry and depress..but know this.. there are some folks like me and my sister who sell these priceless items to those who wished it so.. Some of our items may be priced high but if your a HUGE HUGE HUGEEEEE fan..i wouldn't mind taking a loss of income and give it to someone happy!..

Case in point.. I sold a large Dragonair PLushie..
Most people were low balling me because they wanted it but this one woman who already has one.. wanted the one I have.. and I gave her a discount because I KNOW she loves to have something like it to actually wrap around her waist.. I can't remember her name but she volunteers for the swap meet.

The worse is when I sold games of pokemon red, yellow and blue and a few GBC devices.. and in the end. THEY RESOLD IT for more than double!..
and I knew for a moment that I was tricked/played with!

AS for the K-ON! limited edition.... I didn't know that existed but HOLY crap that is expensive as hell!!!!
I"ll see if I can find someone I know who is selling it for...erh...less....???

volunteered for the Screening room and artist/dealers halls

the application process is one of those fill in your name and such like any registration your applying for artist alley.
I think the badges you apply can be inputed later...

once your made it like..i think.. step 3?...4? it will ask you to
- Submit 5 of your best artwork pieces and or link to your portfolio.

once your submit, you have to wait til you get a confirmation letter of Congrats or "Try again next year".

IF you somehow did got the congrats part, the next step they will require is
- Permit
- Payment

The payment process is the easiest as you have to pay for right there and then.

THE PERMIT is a different story as Most artist struggle with this.
some manage to get their permit applications within the first 5 minutes, but for some reason, I and my friends ( and a few others) got theirs within a day or within a week! So it is best to contact them ( board of equalization now renamed as Taxes and fees) to see what was going on!

ONce you got your permit.. you need to input their code.. and await for further instructions./.

AROUND one month from now to the convention or maybe a few weeks, you get another email regarding Table placement.

Once you claim your table.. your all set..

Competition wise:
THE FRIST 1000 artist to subscribe, THE PROCESS GETS SHUT DOWN..and no one is allowed to entered
(I find their " we will close within a week" not believable as I did that method to refine my work)

So best to prepare your best works and enter, cause slots can fill very very fast!

Table wise.. best to be prepare when it happens cause they can fill very fast on the best available spaces!

Hope this helps but... as of now I tried to submit my work and usually, I was in the AA, but then 2018 CHANGED that and I couldn't get in as my work is now being outshined by others.

Actually the last time I saw it, anyone was welcome to showcase their artworks. It was fun and it felt easy..the only problem is people had to bring their own Hooks.

I mean, I just want to see some wonderful illustrations from those who could not participate for artist alley!

I know this is A HUGE undertaking to ask this out loud for ideas and suggestions but I was thinking of wanting to volunteer to take control of the Art show/gallery for Fanime con.

WE HAD one before around...2016?..maybe 2015?...
but lately, the art gallery was removed for a very long time.

are we not going to have this anymore or is there a reason why we aren't having one?..

(Sorry but the Fanime con Art show doesn't qualify because it felt more of a promotion of the yester-years past)

What I am talking about is an actual art gallery from those who worked hard to showcase their gifts.

So despite we might not get one for 2020, is it possible to volunteer for it to take-in charge?.. what do I need to do once I get accepted?

• Introduction:
Hello my name is Hachimitsu (Male - Age 34) and I would like to let you know I book a hotel and I have a few friends wanting to stay over.

As of now, I am slowly steadily preparing myself for Fanimecon (along with several other conventions).
I really do love to play video games, Cosplay and love to draw. There are times where I had some great success's with artist alley and miserable moments like ....artist alley.
Apparently, Swap meet always cheered me up but whenever I got the chance to be the seller, I usually ask the people from my roommates to "HELP ME".

Last year was a blast, but the same time it also created some mixed Feelings on "enjoyment".
I really hope next year will be a better improvement than 2014, but all in all, it wasn't a complete disaster.

My huge interests are:
Kingdom hearts, Legend of Zelda, Sailor Moon, Pokemon and anything nintendo/sega related. Magi: Labyrinth / Kingdom of magic (because I love genies)

The hall space i know is one area I want to claim, because the bed was design for those who have problems sleeping or partially disability.

I apologize for taking so long for another update! I just didn't have anything positive to update.

Independently, another artist and I are going to try to set up a home for local artists that coincides and compliments the timing of FanimeCon. I had originally sent this idea on to Fanime, but I have not heard a response in more than a month. We got to thinking that maybe we should take that as a sign that if we want to get something done, we should just do it ourselves. So with that motivation in mind, please wish us luck! Thank you moonbug for your hard work T_T!... i really did had plans on bringing a figure i want to showcase that i dont think anyone has seen before.. but then i may need to talk about the rules and regulations part (since the art was from scott campbell, but the sculpture was from rhvel?....but the coloring is from me...) but this idea was added since i think the last time i saw something amazing was a giant dragon sculpture but afterwards felt like my work hasn't contribute much audiences at all v_v!... except the mami tomoe one.. that one was awesome!!!
and the other artist who did the paper cut illustrations (mines was digital cut illustrations)

So if you happen to register for the wrong dates... go back and make a new one, and double checck everything...

So happy i got this fixed because the dates I first had, was wrong.. and had to make a new reservation instead of going to the modify reservation.

I know this is a big important issue to add but apparently I accepted card transactions from a few people except ONE which is NICOLE J LAM. I sold nintendo figure to her and now a few months later shes asking a charge back! and today i am still fighting against it!

I STRONGLY URGE PEOPLE NOT TO DO CARD TRANSACTIONS WHATSOEVER (Paypal here / Square) despite i have alot of proof that she was there!

just wanted to add a note that Card transactions are great substitute to sell but there are times where they can BACK stab you so I wouldn't Rely on it 100%

whoever thought it would be a great idea to send out the AA announcement emails at 11:50something PM on April Fool's Day should be kicked in the face.
