Hey there everyone!
With the delays last year and not being in the gathering list I'm making an effort this year to post early and be involved!
I will be posting this in other locations as well but I'd like some input on possible changes to the gathering.
Please post here if you have comments or concerns and look out for new posts on other boards or forums posted by me, Claudia Ethos or Lizchan33!

Just a little curious as to when the sign ups and what not might start. I haven't heard any news yet and I want to participate in the swap meet this year. Thanks everyone :D

*Last year we were lucky enough to get donated $14 towards the picnic. Of course all the snacks paper plates and games as well as a blanket provided by me I purchase, so if you bring money to donate I will have a little box to put them in. Thank you Very Much!

    Hi! I'm hoping to come, but I guess I must ask. Are EGL clothes mandatory? I'm set with an outfit, but I'm going to be at the con with a group a group of my friends that I wouldn't want to ditch just because they didn't have the proper dress for the picnic.
    

    
    to be honest, the first year I held it everyone and their brother came and when I walked away to get more stuff I came back to everyone taking pictures and then everyone left and I had extra food so I gave it to random con-goers.
    This last year I moved it to the more secluded locale and fewer people came but all of them were quite well dressed and most all brought something, unlike the first time.
    
    I would prefer if you are going to come and eat please dress accordingly, but if there is no way please don't take food that is for those that dressed for the occasion and contributed.

    Lolita is similar to EGL(elegant and gothic lolita) but much broader. It includes anyone dressed in cute girly and frilly attire. It can be argued to also be considered the style that young girls wore in the victorian era. Like outfits such as these:

I'm hosting a Yukatas and Kimonos panel at Fanime this year and wanted to know if anyone knows how to put on a Kimono I would love to know the details.

As well if anyone has a Kimono, it would be nice to show at the panel.

If there is something specific you want to know or hear about at the panel, post or message me please!

And lastly if anyone that knows about kimonos, yukatas, to wear them, and other details, wants to help me any... such as telling me about it or helping with the panel at the convention you can message me on here or via my email, [email protected] .

Where we will meet and when we will meet is still under debate.
