Is it too early to post this?
http://www.fanime.com/news/chris-cason/
well, not really, cause there already is one announced for this year....
Once again, Team Four Star!!
Shinya Arino
Yu Suzuki
Takenobu Mitsuyoshi - for MusicFest as well.
Tsukasa Hojo
Mamoru Oshii
I don't think it'll ever happen at this con, but I would love to see Kotono Mitsuishi. A fan can dream, right? ;]
The guests I wanted this year couldn't make it, so I'd like to reiterate my previous suggestions for Kato*Fuku (Emiri Kato and Kaori Fukuhara) and the girls of Non Non Biyori (Kana Asumi, Rie Murakawa, Ayame Sakura, and Kotori Koiwai), and also add Michelle Ruff (dubber for Tsukasa in Lucky Star) and Kari Wahlgren (dubber of Kagami)....and Marina Inoue.
Is there someone you have to send a letter to to make your guest request "official"? I was talking with a guy named Milton Le who said he would pass my request to the suggestion team.

Milton's a good guy to talk to. He's part of the communications department. Honestly, the guest relations staff check threads like these every year for suggestions, so you just have to post here to make it "official." The earlier you request, the better chance they have time to entertain that request. Most people wait until a month before the con starts, and by then, it's much much too late.
To summarize, you're in the right place at the right time. If you really want to know the exact people who are in charge of guest relations, that's Jinni for general guests, and Valerie for music fest guests. These people might change to someone else for 2017, however.

Showtaro Morikubo
I know most of these are a long shot but I'll put it out there!
One thing to consider with Kato*Fuku; next year will be the 10th anniversary of Lucky Star. (Damn, I feel old now.)
David Vincent! The guy who voices Grimmjow and Senketsu in Kill la kill. He was in Fanime a few years back and on his FB says he's down to come to a convention if we contact the con.
Maybe Max Mittelman who voices Saitama in One Punch would be cool. Or Zack Aguilar who voices Genos.
I'd love to have the cast of Critical Role at Fanime!
Mashiro Ayano. I would love to see her perform for MusicFest too. She sang the Ending theme songs for Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works, Gunslinger Stratos: The Animation, and D.Gray-man Hallow (which that's how I love her). ;D
Would also love to have Overwatch voice actors like Keith Ferguson, Chris Parson and Fred Tatasciore: Reaper, Junkrat and Soldier 76 respectively.
Unfortunately my suggestion, Kato*Fuku, recently announced they'll cease performing as a unit. So I'd like to suggest a Lucky Star 10th anniversary reunion next year at Fanime; Emiri Kato, Kaori Fukuhara, Aya Endo, and (even though she's semi-retired from voice acting, but still, who knows?) Aya Hirano. What do you think?
I'd like to suggest Neil Kaplan as a guest. Voice actor behind Tychus Findlay, Madara Uchiha, and recently Emperor Zarkon in the Netflix version of Voltron. On top of that, he hails from San Jose (and is a big Giants fan)!
I'd like to suggest
Sean Schemmel most notably for the voice of GOKU!
Susumu Kurobe who was in the original Ultraman
Kohji Moritsugu who was Ultra Seven
Nostalgia Critic A Internet reviewer from Channel Awesome named Doug Walker
Angry Video Game Nerd James Rolfe is known for reviewing video games, board games, and movie reviews.
johnny yong bosch played in Bleach, Yo-kai Watch, Trigun, Power Rangers, ect
Frank Welker This man is a legend!
Would love to see Granrodeo as a MusicFest guest, huehue~ *O*
I'll suggest more later, but just wanted to throw them out there <3
It would be neat to see SoulSister Cosplay (UpTownOtaku and EikaTsukiyomi) at Fanime.
Missyeru Cosplay - Cosplayer from Southern California. Does a variety of game, movie, and other cosplays. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional.
Kairu Photography - Cosplay photographer based in Northern California. Published in print and online media including IGN, CosCulture Magazine, and more. Presented a panel at Fanime last year for cosplay photography.
Lisa Lou Who Cosplay - Cosplayer from California. Does a variety of game, movie, and anime cosplays. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional.
Impact Props - Prop builder, great work and very professional. Specializes in space-age type suits and weapons (Halo, Destiny, etc.)
Z-Props - Great prop maker from Nor Cal, specializes in TF2 props.
Hayao Miyazaki - A relatively unknown anime icon.
Makoto Shinkai - A great anime director/designer.
Ken Akamatsu - A mangaka best known for Love Hina.
MangoSirene - cosplayer and youtube vlogger from the midwest~ she has her own series called cosplay 101 which has helped me get back into cosplaying 3 years ago. Also her vlogs are majestic, captures the energy at cons as a cosplayer, imo produces some of the best con vlogs on youtube, especially from a cosplayers standpoint. She recently started cooking in cosplay which is so great. She really embodies a positive cosplay spirit.
GameGrumps - this channel has probably the funniest variety of personalities on youtube. let's play webseries ft Arin, Danny, Baron, Ross and Suzy. Main people are Arin and Danny who are just great. lets plays from Zelda Ocarina of Time, Dark Souls to Overwatch. Known for their Sonic '06 and Undertale let's play. I feel they would run a hilarious gaming panel.
DashieGames - from Florida moved to Los Angeles a couple of months ago. A bit of a wild card but this dude is funny. he's mostly known for being a comedic gaming commentator. He also voice acts his own mortal kombat series and 'ghetto' versions of kids shows and games (pokemon, dora, naruto, and spiderman). Confirmed is an anime fan himself. Has gone to cons before which I should also mention his con vlogs have me dying.
Kazutaka Kodaka - director of the series Dangan Ronpa! That enough said right there.
Matthew Mercer
Crispin Freeman
I would love to see any of these as guests
a girl can dream, right~?! ʕ•̀ω•́ʔ✧
Cosplayers:
Yaya Han
Vampy Bit Me
J Hart
Japanese Guests
Daisuke Ono (voice actor, well known for voicing Sebastian Michaelis)
Yoshitaka Amano (artist well known for Final Fantasy and Vampire Hunter D)
Yana Toboso (mangaka of Black Butler. Even though she said long ago that doesn't do public appearances, just thought I'd put her name out there)
Hajime Isayama (mangaka of Attack on Titan)
I'd love to suggest Mothers Basement, https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBs2Y3i14e1NWQxOGliatmg, a youtuber who does extremely good videos analyzing anime and games. His content is excellent and it could be fun. He has gone on record stating he would go if he was invited and he'd be a great panel going over anime openings and how there made. Not to mention he loves JoJo and could lead a panel!
His content has improved heavily this year and he's made it clear he'd love to come out if requested.
The Pillows - Music group who has been featured on the FLCL soundtrack (requested them in the Musicfest thread, but thought I'd try here too!)
Azuma Kiyohiko - Manga-ka who did Yotsuba&! and Azumanga Daioh -- Don't know if he's ever done an American appearance, so would be awesome to have him at Fanime !
Kairu Photography - A friend of mine who does cosplay photography. Has presented a cosplay photography panel at Fanime before and has covered many conventions and done a lot of cosplay photoshoots.
Katsuhiro Otomo - Akira Manga-ka, 'nuff said.
Eguchi, Takuya - Voice actor for Hachiman from My Teen Romantic Comedy Snafu (Japanese version)
I would love to see the cosplayers UptownOtaku , NekoUsagiTV , NekoCheeto , Jozu Kurosaki and Rozecos there! They are all magnificent, talented, and popular cosplayers (and youtubers) that a lot of people would like to get to meet!
Teamfourstar
Super best friends
I say this every year, this is all I want from fanime is for the Best friends Zaibatsu and Teamfourstar to be in the san jose area.
Cosplayers:
-MangoSirene (she's super talented, fairly well known)
-LisaLouWho (also super talented, she attended Fanime 2016 on both Saturday and Sunday)
-Spicey Cosplay (they are a cosplay couple who have attended Fanime before, they have a relatively small follow base, but have great YouTube tutorials)
-Aicosu (this year's guests; invite them back!! I'd love to attend their panel and meet them; did not have a chance)
-I also second on Fighting Dreamers Pro, yet I know it'd be fairly hard to get them (being that they are a group from Canada)
Music:
Eir Aoi
Aimer
7!!
FLOW (if they came again that'd be amazing)
Voice Actors:
I honestly don't care; we just need some Japanese seiyuus, Fanime. This is one guest department Fanime lacks in.
Mangaka/Animators/Creators:
This is also another department Fanime lacks in. Doesn't really matter what series per say, but even "medium-sized" guests like Kazue Kato or Naoshi Arakawa who both attended AX this year were great guest ideas/choices.

Masaya Matsukaze and Daisuke Sakaguchi were the Guest of Honors for this year's Fanime and the year before was Ai Nonaka. I don't mind seeing them again for next year. So not sure why Fanime would be lacking in this department? They have done well and did their best to bring in more seiyuus. Here's the list for a good memory jog of their past guests they've done well in getting. On their Wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FanimeCon (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FanimeCon).

Yes, I know they were past guests, you don't need to insert link, that was unnecessary. I've actually read that list before; that's how I thought up guests. My point was comparing the ratio of Japanese Seiyuus to English voice actors Fanime has with other conventions; I understand it's hard to get guests from another country to attend your convention, but Fanime's guests are just lacking overall for its attendee size. Some larger-known creators (like mangakas as I said) would be nice though. In short, one or two Seiyuus to 10 English VAs is somewhat disappointing for 30,000 attendees. (Yes, the numbers are somewhat of a slight over exaggeration.)
It doesn't need to be her, per say, but a seiyuu like Romi Park would be awesome. She's voiced so many characters, ranging from minor to major roles, and having her a guest would be great because she has voiced multiple series, with recognizable characters like Temari from Naruto, Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist, and Ragyo from Kill la Kill, and so much more.
Just a seiyuu who has a voice that's been in many multiple series, with easily recognizable characters (One need not be a fan of or have ever watched a series to have some familiarity of a specific character.)
And no, I'm not asking for anyone big like Mamoru Miyano (holy frick that man is everywhere), but just someone fans of different genres/series are familiar with. Matsukaze and Sakaguchi appeared with a heavy emphasis on Mobile Suit Gundam (which is understandable considering the GunPla Builders World Cup 2016 event), but that somewhat cast a shadow on their other roles/other series.
Music Guests are pretty on point at Fanime though!!!
I have some guests to suggest too!!
Reika (Cosplayer)
Coco and Colette Kawaii (Cosplayers)
Hikarin (Cosplayer)
Adding Hitoshi Sakamoto (music composer for Tactics Ogre, Final Fantasy Tactics, Gradius 5, and more) to the "random idea for future years" list. I have no idea if he'd be enough of a draw for this crowd, admittedly.
Namikawa Daisuke, Tanaka Mayumi, Nakai Kazuya, Kamiya Hiroshi, Seki Tomokazu, Koyasu Takehito, Takeuchi Junko, Sugiyama Noriaki, Kaida Yuki, Okiayu Ryotaro, Minagawa Junko, Takahashi Hiroki, Miyano Mamoru, Ikimono Gakari, Onosaka Masaya, KENN, Yusa Kouji, Seki Toshihiko, Miki Shinichirou, Outsuka Houchuu, Ishida Akira, Inoue Kazuhiko, Suzumura Kenichi, Hoshi Souichirou, Suwabe Junichi
YES, We should have TEAM FOUR STAR at this year's convention. Plus, it would be funny to have the actual voice actor of Mr. Popo vs. the abridged version of Mr. Popo.
I say Matthew Mercer and Dashiegames as well! So glad someone suggested Dashie ^^ it'll be so cool if he came!
Fanime (in general) does a good job with acquiring a few new or interesting guests and musical artists, but I saw two responses this/last year stating that Fanime staff looks and and reviews all suggestions like these and did a quick check of last year's thread and none of the guests requested were officially brought on as guests.
That's not to say every suggestion is feasible, but I do feel like for a number of guests suggested last year (and this year), they should have been possible (and affordable). The guests don't have to be a big one (like a Japanese Seiyuu, manga-ka, or director) but maybe one or two of the smaller or more local suggestions could be possible?
I recognize organizing and arranging these things is probably very difficult, just saying it would be nice to see our voices listened to in this regard (even if it's not mine... for example saw a few suggestions for Da-iCE last year, and they were the musical guest. I don't like them, but appreciated that a group who people requested were brought on).
Just my 2 cents. Sorry for the rant.
Mega64!!!! I hope they get invited they said they would be down to come if they were invited ,hint hint fanime.
Here's another vote for MangoSirene!
I'd love to see:
Michaela Laws: voices Ayano Aishi in Yandere Simulator and other various video games, creator of Seduce Me the Otome and other various visual novels
Zach Aguilar: voices Genos in One Punch Man, Arthur Pendragon in Seven Deadly Sins, Talken in SAO 2, and other various anime and video games
Alejandro Saab: voices Yusuke Igarashi in Kiss Him Not Me, Henry Marigold in RWBY, Uno in Nanbaka, Tamotsu Denkigai in Akiba's Trip: The Animation, and other various anime and video games
I'd also love to see MangoSirene and dejavudea.
I'd love it if we had:
Bryce Papenbrook
Micah Solusod
Matthew Mercer
I would love to see more Japanese VAs as well!!
Kishou Taniyama(Chuya from Bungou Stray Dogs, Crow from Show By Rock, Gunji from Togainu no Chi....)
Kensho Ono(Hozumi from Prince of Stride, Akutagawa from Bungou Stray Dogs, Phichit from Yuri on Ice...)
Jun Fukuyama(Grell from Black Butler, Ango from Bungou Stray Dogs, Lelouch from Code Geass...)
Arisa Komiya(Dia from Love Live Sunshine, also was Yoko in Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters) (also consider the rest of the Love Live seiyuus :) )
Toshiki Masuda(Ryuu from Cute High Earth Defense Club Love, Kashuu from Touken Ranbu, Miyamura from Yamada-kun....)
These are just a few suggestions. ^^
I'm seconding the votes for Reika and Jun Fukuyama. Reika has been to the Bay Area before, and her cosplays are even more amazing in person. As for Jun Fukuyama, with the new season of Code Geass being announced I think it'd be cool to have some sort of VA reunion.
If possible, I also agree with the person who said it'd be cool to get a mangaka to come. Personally, I feel it's an area that Fanime doesn't really excel in, and I think it'd bring a lot to the convention to have one. My personal preference would always be to invite Jun Mochizuki (author of Pandora Hearts) because I really respect her work, but I don't know how popular she'd be.
A suggestion somewhat outside of the usual circles: Brennan Williams (WWE, formerly NFL, enormous weeaboo)

You know. This year is the 25th anniversary of the Sailor Moon anime. It would be great to have her seiyuu come on board.
Again, I doubt it'll happen at this con, but I can still dream.
Ooooh the third guest to this year's Fanime Con is Nonstalgia Critic Doug Walker. Oh my idk if there will be anymore guests, but if TeamFourStar comes as well, then this will be the best guest setup ever. They might even read 50 shades Of Gray again in different voices ;D
This is who I would like to see for Musicfest or Stage Zero cause we definitely need more music related events. Plus FanimeCon also is a gaming con as well so might as well invite these bands to play Video Game Music for the con:
- Super Soul Bros. FB Page: https://www.facebook.com/SuperSoulBros/?fref=ts
- Mega Ran: FB Page: https://www.facebook.com/MegaRanMusic/?fref=ts
- The Megas: FB Page: https://www.facebook.com/themegas/?fref=ts
- Vic Viper: FB Page: https://www.facebook.com/vicviperband/?fref=ts
- The Koopas: FB Page: https://www.facebook.com/thekoopas/?fref=ts
- Bit Brigade: FB page: https://www.facebook.com/bitbrigade/?fref=ts
- Kirby's Dream Band: FB Page: https://www.facebook.com/kirbysdreamband/?fref=ts
MusicFest and FanimeCon need music variety since there has not been any good music guests. Hopefully this will fill the void. Trust me, do check these bands out. and as for Mega Ran, HE SHOULD BE A GUEST OF HONOR for Fanime. He's awesome, down to earth, knows his stuff and his raps coverning from mega man to FF7 are hella dope. seriously.
I'd love it if we could get some Mob Psycho 100 people to come as guests and have a panel of some sort. I mean, we've got Chris Cason already, MIGHT AS WELL!! (if we can..)
Casey Mongillo, the voice of Sho Suzuki, Chris Niosi (Reigen Arataka), and Kyle McCarley (Mob) have expressed interest so maybe Fanime staff can work out the deets? Maybe pull some strings and get the other VAs to come for a full blown panel?
(I was also thinking of a One Punch Man panel if we could too.. Both? Both.)
EDIT: On THAT note if we CAN double up, Max Mittleman (Saitama, Ritsu Kageyama) and Erik Khimerer (Speed O' Sound Sonic, Teruki Hanazawa) are a few that have doubled up in this series! Mike McFarland is the scriptwriter for both too...
EDIT EDIT: BASICALLY EVERYONE ON HERE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rvcKPj2Cfw&t=0s
EDIT EDIT EDIT: PUFFY went to Anime Boston, maybe they can come for Fanime? (= OR MIYAVI?!
I just played through FFXV and I'd love to see some of the English cast here! Ray Chase and Robbie Daymond seem like they've been putting in a few appearances at cons lately, and Darin de Paul also seems like a really nice guy. They all have multiple credits outside of FFXV, too, i.e. Darin is Reinhardt from Overwatch, Robbie will be in Persona 5, etc.
It's the 20th Anniversary for the Pokemon anime this year so I'd love for Rica Matsumoto to be at Fanime. She's an incredible voice actor/singer voicing Satoshi/Ash Ketchum, but also Ryou Bakura in Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters, Jim Hawkings in Outlaw Star, Rumi from the Satoshi Kon movie: Perfect Blue, and Aoi Futaba from You're Under Arrest.
Other options would be: Hoshi Souichirou, Yukari Tamura, Matsuoka Yoshitsugu, Megumi Hayashibara, and Kamiya Hiroshi.
ProZD (SungWon Cho)
https://www.youtube.com/user/ProZD/videos
People are noticing him a lot more nowadays, so book him before he's hard to reach :D
If you guys do cosplay groups I would love to see
Vendetta Cosplay (they are in Sweden though....)
!AKIDEAREST! AKI is my life! She got asked if she was going and said she would if Fanime would ask her. SO please please pretty please! SHe is awesome!!
For voice actors maybe
Brina Palencia (Voices in Aquarion and Aquarion EVOL)
Christina Kelly (Voices in Love, Chunibyo, and Other Delusions - Heart Throb)
Luci Christian (Voices in Aquarion EVOL)
Laura Bailey (Voices in Soul Eater)
Will the Nostalgia Critic and Channel Awesome have another celebrity family feud like they did at Kami-con this year?
Messaged Nina (mangosirene) to see what hear what she might say after seeing other people request/wish her as a guest at Fanime this year. She told me she'd be totally up for attending Fanime, and especially in a guest capacity to host panels or help out with (maybe judge) the masquerade. Can we make this happen, Staff?

Hi there. We're happy to see that people like you are eager to contribute to FanimeCon, but please kindly do not reach out to potential guests. We understand that you only asked what her reply might be "if" she were invited, but we do not wish to have people get their hopes up only to be let down should they not be extended an invitation to attend as a guest. While we cannot divulge all the details, there are many factors that play a role when considering guests for FanimeCon, not just number of requests. To make sure there are no misunderstandings or disappointments on either side, we kindly ask that attendees please leave the gauging of interest and inviting to Guest Relations staff. Know that we do read all suggestions posted in these threads, and Evan has mentioned before that he keeps a spreadsheet of all the requests. (He really does!)
Should anyone want to come to FanimeCon to host a panel, we offer partial and full badge refunds to panelists who contribute a certain number of hours to con programming. More information can be found here (http://www.fanime.com/panels/panelist-information/).
Thank you for your understanding.
So does this also mean that I shouldn't have asked TeamFourStar to come to Fanime, since I already have done that :-\

I assume that TeamFourStar understood that you were not inviting them in an official capacity and were merely stating your desire that they attend. "I hope you can come to FanimeCon" is fine, but it's when people start trying to sound official when contacting potential guests that it could become a problem for us.
Ohhh got it, thanks for the clarification. They did say they may come either by asking or receiving an invitation to the convention
Please invite Rooster Teeth, or rather the animation department, since they run RWBY and have an anime related podcast (Fan Service). They could do their first on location broadcast!

Hey there, just wanted to make it clear that I did NOT impersonate nor did I state I was a staff member or in anyway involved with staff. She clearly understood in her reply, saying that she would if she were invited by staff. I simply did what DankLordPopo did (ask if mangosirene might come) or what P4ranoia mentioned about akidearest. Please don't misread my words; I did NOT extend an invitation to her. Please don't think that lowly of me to do something so stupid or disrespectful. And thank you staff, for all the work you do.

Hi. First off-- I do not think lowly of you. Please don't think that I am harshly scolding you. It's good that you did not impersonate staff, but gauging a potential guest's interest is still something that would be best left to GR staff. Thanks for your understanding.
Oh yeah, along with TeamFourStar, We got to get Chris Zito, who's also part of TFS, in Fanime, It WON'T BE A PARTY WITHOUT HIM ;D
TeamFourStar's vids on youtube got taken down again due to those stupid copyright claims. Let's wish upon a dragon ball to bring their channel back once more.
Not sure if it's too late, but suggesting the Final Fantasy XV voice actors?
Ray Chase
Robbie Daymond
Adam Croasdell
Chris Parson
Um, why are the same cosplayers from last year coming again? Even though they were they were interesting, did people want them again or did we just needed to fill in a space for the guests?
Oh, one last suggestion for guests, could we have Corinne Sudberg (Megami33) come to this year's Fanime Con? On her own budget she cannot attend, but if she is invited she would be happy to come! She is a voice actress and voice artist.
