As a huge fan of Rock Band, I was disappointed that the game wasn't anywhere in the Console Gaming area. What's the deal with that?

I think Rock Band needs to make a triumphant return for 2014. I'd be willing to donate my PS3 [filled with 750+ songs] + Rock Band 3 and peripherals (guitar, drum kit, mic). Would be nice to have an additional guitar and keyboard to complete the band. Just puttin' it out there

G4tv anyone, i was thinking that for a while, wondering if they could come and do somthing on it. It just an idea i had.

well, maybe Adam Sessler would be an acceptable choice, but I'm not a fan of that channel anymore, since they screwed up the programming years ago. I miss the old G4! :'(

Here are a few guests that would a good addition for the con.

*Doug Walker, aka That Guy With The Glasses/Nostalgia Critic [he may be open to an invite, check the video if you don't beleive me http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/videolinks/thatguywiththeglasses/video-updates/10626-conventions]
*ScrewAttack, preferably Stuttering Craig, Jose El Mexicano Maxcifent Corey, and "Tommy The Toucan" [Nervous Nick]
*Voice actor, Kyle Hebert.
*91.8 The Fan.com [may not be well known, but maybe you can invite these guys as Press members.]

Hope you guys will have a great con!

Unfortunately, I won't be a registered attendee this year, since I'm planning for another convention out of town, but I'll still hang around the convention hall and Stage Zero on Saturday.

I can't wait to come back for next year.

stage zero yes, but you will not be allowed in the exhibit halls.
:D Alright, that's cool. It's a shame that I won't be able to join all the other events, but its still fun to socialize with the attendees.

So I won't be coming to Fanime this year as a registered attendee (since I'm still saving for SGC), but is it still cool to still hang around the convention halls and visit Stage Zero?
#8
DANG! I wish I can come this year, but alas, I'm planning on going to the ScrewAttack Gamming Convention in Dallas, TX on July 4th weekend. It sucks that I won't make it for my 5th year-in-row, but at least SGC will make up for my Fanimeless year.

I hope everyone else will have a great time at Fanime 09! See ya'll in 2010.

Ideas and Suggestions / Online Schedule Planner
March 01, 2009, 10:37:02 PM
This is something that the guys at ScrewAttack are doing with their ScrewAttack Gaming Convention site, you post up the schedule of events on the Fanime site, and users can add a certain event into their own schedule. Plus, they can print out their personal schedules so they can use it for the duration of the convention instead of wasting time scrolling through and picking which ones to go.

More PS3 Line Madness

Posted by sjohnson - Thursday, November 16, 2006 3:51 PM
The weird stories from the PlayStation 3 lines keep coming in:

In Cary, North Carolina, a clever entrepreneur is hiring the homeless to wait in PlayStation 3 lines for them. Apparently, a truck full of homeless dudes rolled up and got in line. Later the truck returned bearing food for the men.

Hmmm... is it exploiting the homeless or a good day's pay? You decide.

A completely unverified internet posting tells the story of a dude who robbed an entire line of 30 people at Best Buy. The poster swears the story is 100% true. And if I guy says it's true on the internet, it must be, right?

Finally, here's the weirdest story of all:

The guys from ScrewAttack.com are lining up for a PlayStation 3, and they're not going to profit on eBay with it or hoard all the good games. They're auctioning off their place in line and giving the cash to children's charities... weird! And awesome. Way to be selfless, screw attack.

[provided by G4]

I would'nt call that story wierd, I'd call it kickass! I've been a ScrewAttack g1 for at least a couples of month, but a fan since last November, and they always seem to be amaze us with their great energy and cool site content, including the Angry Video Game Nerd, their SideScrollers podcast, Top 10s, etc. Like Fanime, ScrewAttack has a bit of that "By fans, for fans" feel for me as a gamer, unlike other sites like 1up.com or GameStop with all of their bitchy members.

Anyways... That PS3 auction wasn't their only generous act, back in May of '08, during the Smash Bros. Brawl launch they auctioned off an advanced copy of the game and once again.... gave the money charity. Here's the twist, some douchebag out of nowhere while they were recording and complained about not wanting to be recorded and threatened to both stop the auction and arrest Stuttering Craig and High School Ben. But when the cop came in, they realized that the culprit is just making an as of himself and the arrest backfired on him + they booked him. EPIC!
You can see the video here: http://www.screwattack.com/Random/ScrewAttackFirst

I'm proud to be a ScrewAttack g1. ^_^

Things in the Universe / Any ScrewAttack g1s here?

Just confirm and post your g1 name [or let us know you use the same username].

I'm still ZIMdudeAlchemist on the site, so you'll probably find me on the forums, blogs, or on SideScrollers (8/6/08, 8/20/08, + 9/3/08).

Gaming / Re: RockBand 1 & 2 Open mic
July 28, 2008, 01:21:36 PM
Maybe it would be better to have a seperate save file with all the songs and have the lag pre-calibrated so we wouldn't have to spend the 1st 15 minutes calibrating the lag. I wonder how the new RB guitar's going to detect lag from a projector?

I just can't wait to play Rock Band 2 for next year. Now that original Rock Band songs can be transfered to Rock Band 2, we'll now have a huge variety of songs to choose from next year.

aww...  :'( no In The Groove 2? I really wanted to bring my flash drive with my custom Anime .sm files
#17
It would be great to have In The Groove 2. Since it utilizes Custom Song features, people can load up their .sm files to their flash drives and play them on ITG2.

Any chance that there will be space (and interest) for Wii gaming in e-gaming? I know that Smash Bros Brawl is a possibility (if it doesn't get delayed again), but how about multiplayer/party games like Wii Sports, Mario Party, Wario Ware, etc...?

There's also Virtual Console/Old School gaming and DS Demo Download Channel (coming soon).

It's such a cool coinkidink that SSBB is coming out on MY birthday, how awsome is that?

anyways... back on topic.
classic gaming section? sounds neat, though I did think of that earlier but not many people have replies about it ;_;

I think we should have Rock Band for next year's fanime. Just as long as poeple are able to lend each peripheral to create a set for the game [2 Guitars, Drums, Microphone]
