Not sure where I should say this. And not really an idea for FanimeCon 2010.
The sysadmin should add a new feature on the forum. Such as users should be able to add others on a friends list.
I know this is asking too much, but just an idea. Please don't flame me for suggesting such idea.
Why? And what would this accomplish?
You can see who is online on the bottom box... and if they thought anything of you, they could PM you and ask for your aim/msn/yahoo/gtalk/etc. It would be a lot of wasted effort to add in a friends feature for this forum, when only like... 2 people would use it.
Sysadmin is a lazy cow, and unless there's a good reason to do something like this, it's highly doubtful that he would do it.
