Ok here's one.
For those folks who are planning to attend the black and white ball, how bout ($$ pending of course) we hit up a nice classy upscale restaurant before hand. It would make for an awesome night and what better then 10-25+ Anime fans in tuxs suits, gowns, etc taking over some black tie affair restaurant (ie - Bing Crosby's) for a few hours. ;D
EDIT:
Here's the current list of people so said they would attend (I used user names because IR Lazy... and arn't sure on a few >.<)
DemonLordZabu
Shi_Musouka
Steve.Young
otakuapprentice
Evangelion Xgouki
suna_no_yoroi
Rei-Rei

No we do get time off. If we choose to take it off or not is up to us really.
Dress up? always fun I say :D.
Fancy dinner? as long as I get my pays worth of food I'll live
Black & White ball? sure
Wait we had time off? Crap, why did I work almost 3 full days with no sleep! I thought were had to =P
Sure. Count me in.
OK! Time to start making a list
ummm after homework >.<
hmm, that sounds like real classy fun; I'll think about it.
i guess the suit i have for the ball could work for this.
I have a dress shirt. Does that count?
Ok! hmm so I'm thinking how bout we meet at the waterfall right outside the con there and head over. Anyone have any suggestions on they type of food we'd want to go to?
Remember - classy and upscale type places (Denny's, Claim Jumper, etc don't count) :p
For a second I thought you were referring to Dennys and Claim Jumper as classy and upscale. Scared me for a second
No thanks, I need to not spend alot of money on food I already have in my room, last year my diet was nothiong was Pepperoini, water, soda and, peanut butter cups...Gave me the power of ten Laughing Men.

You realize that is a HORRIBLE diet to have right? =P
I hope you don't eat like that all the time.
I said ten Laughing Men, just add watermelon and I could take on the whole Bleach Gathering!
ROFL, I'd like to see that. I'll consider bringing a watermelon!
Bring them on! I'll got Bankai on their asses!
*bump for great justice*
Calv you still going to be doing this?
Sure am! ^_^
If the folks that want to do this please PM me so I can get actual names and what not? Meeting place will be the fountian outsite the convention center about 90 min before the ball also we should get a photo of us as well! Woo hoo!
So here's the tux I'm getting.
http://tinyurl.com/3roel7
Nice, I've got a suit. Dunno about renting/buying a tux.
=P Do I really really need to PM you? lol
LOL ok I know YOU and ur real name so no
Sounds intriguing... :)
Won't have a suit, but I will be wearing one of my military uniforms (Zeon or FMA depending on my cosplay schedule for the day).
1st BUMP
In order to make it worth wild I'm guessing min of 8-10 people
We had a B&W ball gathering last year.
I was one of two people to actually show up.
I'm totally in. does anybody if they have dance lessons again? umm, i'm hoping my outfit counts. I don't have a tux so I was just gonna wear the Black Kazekage Gaara robe thing, and then maybe add some white accessories? Still plenty of shopping time, so I would appreciate any suggestions.
another bumpu!
Depends where you guys go and what you guys eat.
But I'm interested. ^^
So anymore updates or details would be great.

All of these places are less than a mile from the con (71 being the "longest walk" at .7 miles)
So we have some choices let make it happen!
I'm not going to this...but just a fair warning to everyone. We went to Paolo's last year before Play! It sucked. It cost too much and the food was just plain nasty. I'd suggest one of the other choices if I were you.

Deonchan, Paolo's is closed on Sundays. So it's out of the question.

For the second one I couldn't find the times, but it actually looks good.
I've never been to McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurant, but it looks like there's a lot of options there, might be good if you're taking a lot of people with you. Then again the portions look pretty big. A lot of seafood too, I'm not sure if I want to smell like seafood by the end of the dinner. =P
Overall, I think I'd want to go to the 71 Saint Peter the most, but they're also not open on Sundays.
http://www.71saintpeter.com/contact.asp (http://www.71saintpeter.com/contact.asp)
Let me go look around for some places also.
Edit: I realize there's an Il Fornaio Italian restaurant around the area. I've always wanted to try eating there, what do you think?
Im down for it. As long as the others are game ^_^
The main goal is to try to pick a place where the majority will be happy and we can all have fun
La Victoria's :P
4 blocks east of the convention center. 4.50 for a burrito.

i dunno, just letting u know there's cheaper places. :)
Hell I'd do it. I don't know any of you guys though, but hey. XD Should be interesting. o_O
jazmatazz - Anyone is welcome to join. More people the better
JT - yeah there are cheaper places around but that's not the objective with this one. We're trying to go a more upsalce place before the B&W ball
I'm on a bit of a budget, so I'm going to be a stingy asian, sorry. :(
NP mang. Next time :)

I hate you. =/
Now it looks like I'll be forced to socialize with others. Le gasp!
lol..
So who's going to make the plans? Deonchan? ^^
i figure since it is Deonchan's thread he should have like a guest list.
sweet meeting peoples before the BW ball...
maybe if im lucky ill actually have a date this year!
and JT sometimes u got to live a little.
if you could spend $49.99 on a video game. you could afford a $20 steak platter and dress up nice for the ladies. ;)

$49.99 allocated among the x amount of months it is expected to entertain me during this school year made it a good purchase. :D
I'm all for living it up (probably going to get peking duck with my god sister during fanime), but I'm planning to build my new computer by the end of June. Being still in my spring semester, I still look at my spending in a budgeted college student's point of view. My uncle is also a lover of cooking steak X amounts of ways, so rather than paying for a $20 steak, I can pay $8 for that same steak and cook it for a girl myself. ;) I think that pulls more brownie points. :o
Not hating on you guys eating out, I hope you all enjoy. I'm just stating my rationale to not eating out with you guys. :)

We're still going on that picnic..... If I get my act together, which will probably be this weekend.
Ok later on today I'll go though and prob modify my first post with a list of names. Once I do that we should decide on what resturant we want to go to.
stay tuned. This could be alot of fun
Minor update:
Ok I've compiled the names of folks who said they want to go. If I've forgotten anyone please let me know

Deonchan, I might bring a couple of friends, I'll let you know how many by the end of the week.
And it's okay right if my friends aren't on the forums?
Indeed. The more the merrier :)
Let me remind y'all, that I'm a total fanime noob, so I need to be briefed on specifics before the event. 8)
So when does times/dates go out? ^^
I'll put up the time tonight. I want to make sure folks that want to do the dance lessons can go and (that I'm off my shift)
So 2 hours before the ball starts.. how's that sound?
I might possibly probably maybe show up to this. With a friend. If that's alright =]

Now ^_^
2 hours before the ball we meet @ the fountian
We're going to McCormick & Schmick's
I'll have the updated list on my OP by Monday
Well looks like I'm gonna have to cancel this one. Musicfest (once of the special events that I work) is the same time as B&W ball :(
So unless someone wants to pick up the fumbled ball this one is done.

Yea I was gonna say...
Trying to be in two places at once?
I told ya some of us Rovers/SoS never get time off. :P
Looks like flirting with the lovely ladies will be delayed til another nite?
whelp this ride is over. There's no way I can do the B&W ball and Musicfest. Fret not though. There is another Dinner gathering Here. (http://forums.fanime.com/index.php/topic,9061.0.html) I would try to hook up with them.
