My current style of art has been described as "Anime Pin-Ups" and I've been advised to "Sexify" the prettiest anime girls, then sell those peices at the Con... but I have weird taste, so I thought I'd ask you all what your votes are!

I chose quiet and shy.  I guess I'm that kind of guy or something.  I might have chosen young and innocent, cuz I'm an avid Sakura-chan fan(so kawaii^^), but I don't wanna sound like a pedophelic person. :P  Each choice has some good qualities(I'm so undecided>.<')

Marked "young and innocent," but my preference is more like something between that and "cute and sweet."  Never really been much of a fan of all out sex appeal, quite and shy is... alright, and so is fire-tempered and spicy (Asuka!!!!11 :mrgreen: ), but in the end, I like young, cute girls best.  And yes, I'm a proud pedophile.  Although that's not saying much because I'm 18. ^_^;

Cute and sweet.  Something along the lines of Sylphel or Kagome.  Some one like Usagi, who can easily eat more than I can in several days at one sitting, doesn't really fit my definition of cute.

All of the above! I love them ALL! My favourite is Shampoo and shes a little of everything! My second favourite is Sasami so I'll check that one.



A tip: Your art is your own. Dont try to appeal to the masses or adjust your style because some people dont like it. If you have weird taste, then by all means put it in there. Once you stop drawing for yourself and start catering to the masses, its no longer yours, and its no longer art.

I like Asuka from Evangelion but I wished that she would be a little bit nicer though.  Haruko from FLCL was cool because she played bass and she looked real fun to be with.  I don't think that Haruko's the shy type.  Victoria from Hellsing is the cutest vampire ever.

Maybe I'm just a biatch and I'm going to get on someone's case about this sooner or later.



:x Maybe I'm still mad that a guy out here is into "To Heart" and dumped me just because I don't "meet his expectations". Anybody have experience with anime club members who still pull out the animated porn even though the president is a girl? Anybody here read MegaTokyo? Believe me--I read it too. There's just that one example at the beginning of that first volume though that ticks me off about gamers and the like. Piro salivates while staring at a "To Heart" poster as he and Largo are walking by it.



:evil:  :evil:  :evil: Am I the only one who hates getting whistles and honks when I'm walking out in my outing clothes or running gear? Does anybody else feel this way? If the results of that poll reflect what people really think about how a girl should be, then do they expect girls not to have the other qualities as part of their personality?



Eh, I'm not persecuting anybody. Just let me know if you have ever come across ideas like this and how you would handle it if you felt this way yourself.

Personally, I view anime girls as idealized people who do not exist.  Thus, while I think it'd be nice that a girl be like my favorite anime females, I never look for or expect to find one.  Of course, that's just my perspective and others' may differ.  Apparently that one guy who dumped you didn't see it my way.  Personally, I think he's a moron.

Yeah, I see. The funny thing is that this guy expects to never find a girlfriend because he knows his expectations are too high. Ever seen that episode of Dirty Pair Flash?



Yuri meets her stalker who turns out to be a small boy building a robot that looks like her, down to the smallest details. She's accidentally broken the robot Yuri, and she has to live at this boy's house for a few days while he fixes the robot. She gets everything she wants, except food and bathroom breaks since the boy expects her to be the "pure and innocent Yuri" he loves. Shit, it's sad to see some real guys are like that. In the end Yuri expects to marry the boy because he's rich, rich, rich, and she thinks he likes her. It turns out that he doesn't want her anymore since he's finished the "perfection of Yuri"--the robot. I've never seen an anime character confront--rather, reflect on these issues in a way so close to reality.
