If I can't get a spot, at least I get to support one of my friends that are participating!  ;D

Although looking at the roster I am surprised that Yumiko Mori is not going to be participating this year! Her rendition of that "Princess Mononoke" song should be enough make her join again!
Sigh~ J. Luc! Y. Mori! Next time, (maybe I can use this line for one of my manga ideas) Let's duel next time with our voices at its potential! *points epicly with the microphone*

We will take signups at con, but keep in mind there will already be names on the waiting list in front of you.

As for dueling, we do run an event at AX called the "Ultimate Karaoke Fighting Championship". It's all one-on-one, all duels, all deathmatches. Mabye we'll bring it to FanimeCon in a future year...

I am not sure the reason for using such harsh tones, but I guess you are tired of getting cases like mine every year...  :)

but it seemed like u didnt read the rules thoroughly or didnt understand them before u started to post comments and questions
i was slightly aggravated cuz the rules are pretty clear and straight forward and it seemed like u didnt understand

the rules for sign up was until the 15th or when the list is full
and the list became full within a day or two of when sign-ups started
a lot of ppl are always interested in the contest and the contest always fills up almost right away
like i said, galewolf usually saves about 5-10 spots for at-con sign-ups
u can try ur luck at signing up then
read the rules for when the sign-ups begin

Okay! I know parents might flip out on the idea that I will present!

So I thought that there would be those who wants to 'prove' that they can stand up to the character they cosplay. In terms of costumes and stuff, they can probably pull off the character. However, the combat skills are not shown as much.

To get to the point! A Boxing Ring where cosplayers can duke it out with the fighting style of their character.

The initial name for it will be: The Fanime Battle-Thon!

We might want to have local MMA fighters to be the referees of the matches. (Frank Shamrock, Cung Le, Josh Thompson, etc.)

Everyone is required to bring paddings and other safety gears.

Some of the rules:
1) Everyone get 3 rounds each. To win each round, you need 10 points. 1 points= Punch or a hand-strike to the stomach, 2 points= Leg strike to the stomach, 3 points= High kick to the head, 4 points= A successfully executed throw, 5 points= Executing a "Special Move"
2) A "Special Move" is the Character's Special Attack that is stopped at least 3 inches before the helmet or the chest plate. If the opponent does not notice the move in three seconds, then 5 points will be rewarded for perfect execution.
3) For any characters with weapons, they must use some safer version of it. (Nerf Sword, Water Balloon, Frisbee, etc.) All the ways to get points with weapons will be acquired the same way as without weapons.

Hello this is going to be my first Fanime! I registered and it said that I need a government-issued Identification. So that means a student ID card will not work? So a Permanent Resident card or passport would be more like then?
