Hello all, Chaos here. With Raenef unable to attend Fanime 2013, I'll be taking over organization of the gathering; hopefully ZeeVee will be able to make it back to oversee the ever loved fan-shots and crack pairings. Also, we will be planning for a tea again - with luck, at the same time or right after the gathering. I'll keep all of you posted on possible locations, but feel free to suggest places.
I will be there of course! haha...just figuring out who to be....

I'm thinking about remaking my Snake cosplay with the proper colors and I have a friend who may be coming as Dagger - if all works out, we might have a decent showing of circus members. :)

I promised this before, but hopefully I will be able to keep my word, that Lau shall be making an appearance and deal with the young lord and his wild antics. However, I have been forever alone in my attempts and will not be having a Ran-Mao.

Sorry for the delay in updates; with my cosplay partner in crime off exploring Japan, I've lost quite a bit of motivation. I'll try to check in on this thread a little more often.
this really depends on other gathering times and such, but I'll be Tanaka at some point.

Lists updated. As to the question: yes, there will still be a tea party. This year I do not think that I will start a list of "who's bringing what", but volunteers are always appreciated. I think I shall bring fudge of some sort.... If I can keep it from melting/being eating by my roommates.
Just wondering, did people like moving to the Fairmont after the main gathering for the tea party? Also, shall we maintain our habit of holding this gathering on the day of the Black and White Ball?

I actually liked hanging out inside the spot we moved to last year, it was nice since people could strip off their shoes and such since half the attire for the series isn't the most comfortable ;D I'd be up for doing that again. Sunday also works better day wise as it has been before.... there's waaaay too many gatherings on Saturday.

Hiii! My cosplay partner and I were wanting to go to the Kuro gathering! Not sure if I'd rewear Meyrin or if we can get our new cosplays finished in time...
However! Last year the gathering was late Sunday afternoon, and since my partner and I and a few other friends who would like to go in the gathering were participating in the Masquerade, we couldn't attend! Sadly, it looks like we can't attend this year if its on Sunday at the same time, since check in for the Masq is around 3-4ish and we have to be ready in those costumes, which sadly aren't Kuro-related. D= I'm bummed!
Earlier on Sunday sounds really fantastic if that's possible. Since it does tend to get relatively warm, and then it doesn't come in too close to the Masquerade. Sadly that stopped us from going last year but we're hoping to be able to attend this time! ;A ;
I would like to join as Female Ciel in the ballgown cosplay if possible.

My friend is coming on Sunday as Alois Trancy, though I don't know how early she can come. I will be coming for pictures as long as it does not run into my time slot for the Magi gathering I am organizing. And I have to meet up with my assistants for lunch so hopefully I can get at least a group picture in the beginning if it does end up overlapping my plans.

I will be more than willing to bring supplies and many different teas if tea is held at the Fairmont, which is where I am staying.
So, I might still see if I can get R-Shitei Grell finished in time for Fanime. >__>;; But we shall see.

Based on this map (http://s1271.photobucket.com/user/BSaphire/media/GCDLocationsMapFinal.jpg.html) do you guys want to be at G6 (where we were last year) or at G7 (the tree area just down the steps)? There's also G8 (see map). I'm already late for the submission of location - will submit it by tomorrow afternoon.

Looks like 11AM on Sunday is open for all those locations. Going to aim for that timeslot - we can then move to the Fairmont location for hang-out time/snacks/whatever after. I believe that this will not conflict with any other large gathering and, also, will allow for the Masquerade participants to join us.

Leaning towards G7 (tree area) for location as it will provide some shade in the middle of the day.

Had me worried for a bit there, went and messaged BSaphire the other night asking about just submitting a time until you got back xD That time definitely works, location wise the only reason I would suggest veering from G7 is that the MLP gathering starts right when ours ends and you'll have a lot of people moving through that gathering area. Personally I would suggest grabbing G8b, it's a really nice shaded area with lots of space, and snagging G8c as well so that we have more space and aren't crowded/covered by another gathering. It's also a nice plain colored wall so nothing too busy going on behind it while still being in a corner enough to catch attention of any people passing that want to stop by and check out the gathering :)

If we wish to move to the Fairmont after for an "after-party" (not to say that we will be crazy party animals since we're all classy), G8 is the closest location. However, BSaphire has also offered us both G6 and G7 for the gathering and tea party.
The decision is up to you guys. I am waiting on a response back from one of my vices, so you have until he responds back to me (which will be sometime tonight).

Ever since the first Kuroshitsuji gathering there have been complaints that people are not able to attend due to Masquerade or other such things. It appears that the Naruto Gathering is later in the day this year, which means that Sunday morning is now open to a large gathering. In past years we held the Kuro gathering in the afternoon to avoid conflicts, but having it in the late morning might actually be better for everyone.
I have submitted the time/location request, so we'll see what we get.
I like the idea of having the full G8 for the gathering. But that's just me...... ><
Hey since we're so early in the day this year would there be any interest in finding someplace and ordering in some food to eat during the tea?

What's breakfast? Yeah, I feel like a lot of people don't eat in the morning so come noon I'm sure there will be some people hungry. Could either order in or if enough people are willing to bring stuff make a potluck and either bring it to the gathering or drop it off sometime in the morning in a hotel room of the Fairmont (if we're hanging there) to bring down later.
Going to snoop around and see what delivers around there, going to assume there is pizza somewhere and I want to swear the Subway there delivers... have to check though.

Seems that you guys beat me to the punch. The Kuroshitsuji Gathering will be held from 11AM to 12PM at G8 (a, b, & c) with the tea party occurring directly after at in the Fairmont Ballroom Lobby. Don't worry about getting lost; my minions and I will lead the migration over.

I was one of those last minute got a ticket types! But since I'm a big fan of Kuroshitsuji, I definitely wanna attend!
I will be cosplaying regular Undertaker! *squeee* so excited to meet you all!
So happy, hotel got switched to the Fairmont! So the Subway around the corner does deliver if we wanted to try that or find somewhere else, or if people would be willing to bring food I could store it in my room and bring it down later for when the gathering moves to where it did last year (assuming that's where we're going?).
All those in favor of food let me know what you think would be best :)
Not sure if I'll be able to attend the gathering at the convention center, but I'm staying in the Fairmont so I will try my hardest to visit everyone at the tea party...

Thanks for the wonderful gathering! I was the r-shitei Grell that ran a little late getting there, you are all wonderful and this still continues to be my favorite gathering that I look forward to every year. Can't wait to see you all next year! <3

What a turn out we had last year; approximately 61 people (my wonderful assistants counted us twice to make sure they got that number correct)! Hopefully this next year will go a bit smoother and I won't have to run off mid-tea to jump into another cosplay. Your gathering/tea party organizers this year will be Raenef and myself (chaosbark/sael).

Ahh, I apologize for not making it to the gathering this year. ;A; I was running around trying to figure out what the heck happened to the Gothic Fairytale gathering(which was at the same time), since apparently it ended 10 minutes after it started, or it didn't happen at all. I don't know, I'm still confused about it.

Happy 2014, Fanime is just around the corner. The list is updated. I'm actually here and attentive to BSaphire's postings this year.
The gathering is most likely to be on Sunday again. I'm not sure what time it will be at, or if we will qualify as a large gathering again (we had exactly 50 attendees to the gathering last year), so we'll have to see what our options are.
Also, look forward to that live action movie and incoming season 3 of Kuroshitsuji~!

watching marathoning Free! - it's a very good show. Haha, I started it yesterday and already have Free! cosplays planned though I don't think I'll be going to the gathering.

First post updated with day, location, and times for both the gathering and the event. Please note that we will be off-site at the Fairmont Ballroom Lobby. This is where we went for the tea party last year. If you are not sure where this is, I will be at (or near) the Gatherings table on Sunday to lead people to the site. If you have concerns about this, please state them. If many people object to the current gathering location, I will look into changing it.
Also, is anyone interested in participating in a potluck tea party? Since our gathering and event are around the noon hour a potluck might be nice.
The gathering time works for me, however I won't be there for the tea party if the Free! gathering is still at 12pm that day. :( Sorry about that!
I cannot make a guarantee until I see the times and locations of other gatherings and also if we get into the Cosplay Spectacular and Masquerade(they are priority). But I will be Sebastian and my boyfriend will be Ciel and I know he will insist we attend the gathering and The Queen's High Tea Party as boc-chan would never turn down such an honorable invitation. I'd be very pleased to bring and serve tea.
I will need to know if the location will be able to provide hot water however and also if serve ware will need acquiring. I have contingency plans if all of the above need be required. I look forward to serving you all and representing my Lord Phantomhive to the best of my abilities.

I saw the movie a while back. It was definitely...interesting haha. The outfits were gorgeous but of course they would be, and they were designed by some of the best lolita designers.

Hello~~ my forum name was previously Wolftale, I was the R-shitei Grell on the attending list. Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to make it this year due to having to swap out the costume for another :C I hope everyone has a fun time, will miss hanging out with you guys this year!

So sorry for the confusion about gathering location on Sunday! There was a bit of a mishap with scheduling in which our gathering location was double booked as the waiting area for the Speed Dating panel. Glad to see everyone who was eventually able to find the gathering in the lower lobby of the Fairmont Ballroom. Hope you all enjoyed Fanime 2015!
