Anyone from UCSC went to this year's fanime? Me and my friend went by ourselves, I did met a few friends there but over all it was just us two most the time. It was fun but a bit lonely. I feel like if there are any people from UCSC, I know you guys are out there, we should get together and have a 4 day party, and rent a hotel room. It'll be tons of fun, and a great way of meeting new people. And we could have cosplay pairs or groups, if anyone is interested.

well, i just want to meet some people to go to fanime wit. and well just people with similar interest in general , If anyone's down just leave a comment.
i have a fair amount of friends from the SC area, it really shouldnt be that hard to strike up a conversation with a person at a coffee shop or a bookstore of someone sketching random arts, or nose deep in a manga or something.
our group from the bay area has had and will have SC beach board walk events and were usually open to the idea of newbies so keep an eye out for any post Fanime gatherings in this Sub forum.
I was in anime club when I went to UCSC. A lot of the anime club people went to fanime, but other than them, it's kind of hard to coordinate a UCSC meeting at fanime. I tried one year and kind of failed, lol.
We should all go get breakfast at Paula's in Capitola one day and spend time at 26th Ave. beach :D
oh yeah anime club, i signed up at oper last fall, they never emailed me. it's end of the year now, so prolly ill join next year.

That's too bad that you weren't e-mailed. I don't know who's running it these days, but they're a pretty colorful bunch in general. Hopefully they'll play some anime you like. Otherwise, it's a nice opportunity to make some friends who are into the same nerdy things you're into. Hopefully they'll e-mail you in the fall. When I was a student, they met Saturday afternoons at the Student Union, but I'm not sure when/where they're meeting these days.

Please god tell me we're going to have some kind of get together? I did the boardwalk cosplay in '07 and it was alot of fun. Anyone over here happen to be Mega-One Piece fans by the way? XD
