The funny part is that the spot marked as "Arcade"(#2) on the map isn't really where the arcade is. And like someone else said it tends to be fairly empty except for wall huggers and passer-bys. But there is plenty of spots that could potentially work as long as there was some way for people to recognize the meeting spot. Depending on what day I go I could volunteer to be the land mark. I have black/blonde dreads and I'm pretty sure I'm the only one at the convention center that has that. And If my friend brings a boom box we'll prolly be dancing anyway(They're poppers)

I will say now that there are no guarantees on the boombox though...and I'm not sure what day I'll be able to go. I'm aiming for Thursday but who knows?<,<

If you guys were to meet up, the "Arcade"(#2) isn't a bad spot to meet up. You could wait alongside the wall and everyone walking by there would see you. And that area doesn't get too crowded besides traffic walking by.....Having a sign or something that catches eyes would help flag down everyone.
Play music and make a dance circle or something>,>(I'm actually half serious about that one)

Btw Fanime is almost here! It's gonna be one to remember for me^_^

Yeah hopefully there won't be any repeats of last year...I never had any idea what was happening because of the lack of a physical schedule. And I couldn't find out from word of mouth because pretty much everyone else was clueless as well..(btw I didn't/don't have a smart phone =_=)

But oh well that's all in the distant past(a whole year ago) and things will be fun again this year. Looking forward to seeing new faces and such and even the same ol' faces I always see. ;D

K im typin on my friends smart fone and apparently im not smart bekuz im having trouble wit it=_= imma go ahead and wear the hella kitty necklace jus to make it easy. Btw could u give me brief description of what you look like so i know what to look out for(besides what you're gonna wear).

K noted it(I really wrote it down so I wont forget) I need to be sure to set alarms for this meeting as well as the sunday one. :P

And for me I'll prolly be wearing either a sleeveless light tan hoodie, a blue shirt with a penguin wearing Headphones, or a black shirt with a chibi panda on the front(.^_^.)b Depending on my mood I might wear a Hellokitty candy necklace to stand out more. So spotting me should be fairly easy(haha ;D)

Btw yesterday there were 7 tornadoes in the Northern Sacramento area...Even though we never get tornadoes(let alone 7>,>) I'm sure we wont have anything random like happen again anytime soon....right? :-\

My to do list:
1)Eat something
2)Try to beat Dead Rising 2 before i go(I hate the "special"zombies sooo much=_=)
3)Get this random guy out of my house (Mission complete)
4)Try to recover faster from a shoulder injury(Not possible but I refuse to let it stop me from having fun)
5)Eat something again(fast metabolism)
6)I forgot to pack :-[ SO I still need to do that
7)Meet up with my friend to get fitted for my cosplay
8)Finish doing various things to get ready
9)Head out to fanime!

I will admit that I have no set place I really wanna go but I do have a few.."fun" things I got planned to kill time and keep me entertained ;D.

ill be there since friday afternoon for the contest
then pretty much saturday from 12 until i go home, then sunday from like..10/11-ish until end of black and white
if u wanna, we could meet up saturday, since thats the day that im not really doin anythign besides wandering, dance classes and possibly panels

I have dreads,i'm about 5'7,and I wear glasses + random objects(like a candy necklace or a necklace made of paper clips). So it's safe to say i'll be easy to spot ;)

HAHAHA what?! I'm pretty sure I wont see anyone there that looks like me>,>(I have yet to see a look-a-like in the past 4 years i've gone). I forgot to mention that I'm dark brown skinned btw.

P.S. How many people have you seen with dreads there(o.O;) As far as fanime(or just anime fans in general) dreadlocks are pretty rare :o

so yes, i wear socks with my sandals :c but i have cute socks so it makes up for it :D...

Well if it was an issue of "Stank-foot" I could see why not>,>. But I guess it's always possible to avoid them if that is the case...or yell "Eewww!!" at them and run.

P.S. Cute socks(or kneesocks) do have the power to offset the taboo of "sandals with socks". If done correctly it can be a beautiful thing....and if not.... :-X

Nice, well i'm not sure if anyone still needed a guide(though I will be there as early as Thursday if someone does). But there is a meeting that we've(members of the forum) have kinda put together that's gonna be on Sunday at 1:30pm in front of the fountains. I haven't been into Tekken since Tekken Tag Tournament(Can't wait for two^-^) It's really hard for me to pick up and keep playing a 3d fighter nowadays. Not to mention all the 2d fighters that I did play didn't have a wide enough local community.

But I'll throw down in some Arcana Heart 3(BRAH-ING-IT) I miss playing that game but I had to always play online against Japanese players and the lag got old...That and I got tired of fighting Akane all the time =_=
