Title: Panel Room space
Post by: lovepulse on May 04, 2016, 06:37:59 PM
So...there was never a feedback thread for Fanime 2015, so I'm just going to say it now even though it's probably too late.

A lot of panels were put in rooms that were too small. I understand Fanime is growing in number each year, and it's not like Fanime can make the rooms bigger, but maybe think about what panels you are putting in the rooms.

I can think of a lot of panels, but the one that sticks out the most for me is the Ai Nonaka panel.

I think we can all agree that Japanese guests tend to be popular panel.
Ai Nonaka is a great seiyuu.

She was put in one of the smallest panel rooms (panel room 3 i think). I looked into the biggest panel room (panel room 1), and there was waaayyyy less people for that panel than those waiting in line for the Ai Nonaka panel. And it's not because, since it's a bigger panel room, it will be less crowded so it may SEEM like there is less people.

No, there were less people. Ai Nonaka's panel was absolutely full, there were people waiting outside in hopes someone would leave, and there were countless people like me who were just turned away. Ai Nonaka had more people.

Ai Nonaka should've been in panel room 1, and the event in panel room 1 should've been in panel room 3.

Put your popular panels in bigger rooms. That's my suggestion.
