Hey guys!

I wanted to thank everyone for attending the gathering! I was very impressed by all the different costumes and hope everyone had a fun time!

I also wanted to give extra thanks and praise to BSaphire for her creativity and organizational skills. This gathering has come a long, long, long way since I first started it and I'm sure that with her help it will only continue to get better and better!!

Hey B.  You can pencil me in for cosplaying as my usual favorite, Monkey D. Luffy.

Hey! How's everyone going? I'm really looking forward to Fanime and will definitely make sure to show up at the gathering!

Hi everyone,

I'm glad to see that the cosplay group I originally helped form is still alive and active.  I'll be coming to Fanime again this year and will definitely want to see the turn out.

Hey how's everyone doing?  I hope you've all been having a good month and that you're all looking forward to Fanime and our group gathering.  Anyone have a current Shonen Jump manga or anime title they're really into?  I currently really enjoy watching new episodes of Naruto on Cartoon Network every Saturday night.

Hey guys,

Just thought I'd post something so that our subject could bounce back to page one.  Anyone been reading any Shonen Jump titles that they're really into?  Unfortunately, it looks like I'm gonna have to wait awhile longer for the next volume of Hunter X Hunter.  Gotta find something else to read in the mean time.

In terms of which series I would want to see people do costumes from, a few of my personal choices would be:

Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Kōen-mae Hashutsujo--Never read the comic (can't read Japanese ) But the stories and character designs look halarious!

HunterXHunter--Somebody's got to do one of these characters!  Have any of you read the series?  In my opinion this title total triumphs over the author's other famous creation, "Yu Yu Hakusho."

Kinnikuman--Well....if someone thinks they can do a reasonable likeness of some of the stranger characters, I'd be very impressed.  Heck, if someone does any of the characters I'd be impressed.  I've been to many conventions before, and I don't think I've ever seen a Kinnikuman cosplayer.

I'd like to thank everyone for coming to the 2006 Shonen Jump Gathering.  I hope you all had fun, were able to meet some nice people, and took some great pictures.  I thought this years gathering was even better then the last and was very well organized.  Let's make sure to do this again next year and keep jumping for success!!!

Hey guys.  I just wanted to tell you that I have every intention of coming to the gathering this year.  I'll be coming as the king of the pirates, "Monkey D. Luffy."

Hey guys.  It looks like I might be able to make an appearance at the Jump Group after all.  Unfortunately I don't expect to have a new costume for this convention <snap> I've just been so busy this year.  I will either be going as Simon Gedoh or Monkey D. Luffy.  Since I was Gedoh last year at the group I think I might go as Luffy this year.  Hope you can all make it and that we get a good turn out.

Thanks for making this post BSaphire!  I'm glad you had fun at the group!

Unfortunately I will be unable to attend Fanime this year, but I encourage all of you to spread the word about the group and do what you can to see it makes a second appearance.

To help you out, here are more Shonen Jump titles:

Mr. Full Swing

Steel Ball Run

Dragon Ball

D. Grayman

Katekyo Hitman Reborn!

Slam Dunk

Bo-Bo-Bo-Bo

Kochi Kame

Ichigo 100%

Buzou Renkin

Pyuu To Fuku!  Jaguar

Here's hoping this group is as good as last year.

[spoiler] I also think that the city was meant to be some kind of experiment.  But who is the person who started it?  And what was with that guy who always gave Roger smith advise in the cafe?  In the last episode they show that he is a robot, who I assume never leaves the cafe.

In all honesty I like the first season better than the second one.  At the begining of the show, things seemed much more simply and easy to understand.  But as soon as they threw in the lights in the sky and went more into the tomatoes, WHAM, everything spun out of control.

I was watching the final episode to season 2 of the Big O and I still don't understand what was going on.  Does anyone know what was going on with Paradigm City?  Who was controling the city?  What is Roger Smith?  Why did the people of the city lose their memories 40 years ago?

I heard somewhere that season 2 was supposed to answer all sorts of questions, but I am still confused.

Yes, the logistics department is still looking for help before the convention and after it as well.  Take a look at my post for more information.

Realistic:  Crystal Chronicles Plush Moogle, Lust (Full Metal Alchemist) Poster, Chiyo Mihama Plush, Hyper Mega Rildo Action Figure.

Unrealistic:  Ganbare Goemon Soundtrack, Kid (Chrono Cross) Statue, Super Mario RPG soundtrack.

When I say unrealistic, I MEAN unrealistic.

I have been looking for a statue of Kid from the video game Chrono Cross.  Has anyone ever seen this item at a past Fanime convention, or know of any merchants that might be selling one?

I don't know very much about Full Metal Alchemist, so I don't intend to dress as a character from it.  I have heard however that SquareEnix is turning it into an RPG so I am kinda interested in seeing.
