Hey, this is my first time cosplaying ever - I'm going as Dawn from Pokemon (http://i.imgur.com/d0CKSKp.png) and I just have a question about her clips. I plan on using craft foam on hairclips, but I want to know what can I do to give it a smooth, shiny, plastic look? Is there a specific type of paint for that? I was also wondering how well does craft foam flex and bend, since I'm using the hair clips that you snap open and close (like this: http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=413963&catid=183396).

I love Psycho le Cému and while we can't have them anymore since they've broke up years ago, Dacco would be awesome! They've already been to Comicon, so why not Fanime?

Well, I know that it's a little bit too late to suggest something like this for 09, but I was talking to a dealer earlier today after I'd just gotten a double of a figurine I had. He mentioned that it was really too bad that there was nothing like a swap table for people who had ended up getting doubles from the mystery boxes located somewhere at Fanime, and I think that a event like this would be nice.

It doesn't have to be anything big or major, just maybe a table in the gamers hall or something for about half a hour or possibly more. I know there's the option of selling online, but I honestly don't want to deal with the hassle of shipping and paypal/etc. It'd be neat if next Fanime there was something similar to this.

Well, with hotel registration up, I've got another question to ask - I plan on rooming with my sister, but does it cost more to get a room with two beds versus a room with one bed? I'm not sure what they mean with the double/double bedded rooms.

So, I plan on getting a room this time at Fanime as soon as hotel registration opens up, and it'd be my first time doing so (getting a hotel room). I plan on staying at the Hilton since it's the cheaper of the two, although that may be subject to change, depending on the completion of the renovation they're planning.

I'm just wondering what should I expect? Last year, a friend of mine booked in advance at the Marriot for about $400, but she ran into some problems; if I remember right they added a $200 deposit when she checked in at the front desk and she'd planned to pay using her credit card which had a $500 limit. If a book a room, will I also need to keep on mind that I'll be paying for a deposit and what not?

I also have a few questions about the planned renovations - does anyone know what they're doing? I know one of the goals was to fix the plumbing, which I heard could be quite noisy at night, and I've heard from a friend that they planned to improve the bed quality and TVs in the room too.

Agreed. I was looking for a new one since my phone charm my friend made me broke; I'd saw some promo Code Geass charms on eBay, where they had a metal-looking charm of the Geass symbol and I'd hoped that I could find it around, but... no dice. :(
