General Convention Discussion / Re: Press Pass?
April 04, 2009, 11:30:31 PM
MPLe,

Thanks a lot for the help.

Eric, I'm sure that was the "most professional" opinion you had written in fine print to represent FanimeCon as a staff member.  It's pretty much common sense that most of the staff don't have time to respond to everyone's emails. and it took over a whole month and a half to get to mine about a panel question.

Thanks a lot, I'm sure a lot of people are looking at this thread.  Function Print Screen on your quote.  I'm sure Expo doesn't do this on their threads.  I'm bringing this over to one of my industry professionals.

Have a great day.

Eric,

Sorry to sound like a broken record, but can I talk to Tony about the press pass? Or who would be the proper chain of command to talk face to face about this?

Thanks,
Bobby

Hey all,

Any cosplayers going?  Sorry if this is a repeat of another post.

Hi Again,

I'm sorry, but the answer wasn't really clarified?

I didn't see a clear answer on the post.  Does anyone know how we can get press passes, because the membership is almost near, and I don't want to stand in line.  I promote FanimeCon, and love to promote it, but please let me know soon, before online registration closes?

Thanks.

Hello,

I just was wondering if there would be a pool of people who's good at video editing to do something professional like this and show highlights of the Cosplay and events?

Thanks,

General Convention Discussion / Press Pass?

I'm new to these forums, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask if there are any chances of registering for a press pass?  Ann Oyama of Bayanime.com had asked me this question just last night.

If anyone knows, please let me know as soon as possible.

Thanks,

Are we allowed to bring portable power generators? I know duracell sells them for about 175.00 on their website.

I'm willing to share a table too if that's our only choice, since all tables were sold out per this meeting today.

Thanks

Ok, we will anticipate this, (fingers crossed)... we have a seller's permit ready to go, so that won't leave any complications with Federal or State Gov.

Thanks,

Ideas and Suggestions / Origami Folding
March 15, 2009, 12:54:28 AM
Just wanted to know if anyone was a master in doing this.  This would definitely take a lot of skill and possibly have an art contest.  Hideko, is a good Origami artist, and also Yoshie.

What do you think guys and gals?

Hello,

I had asked people online about making a cosplay outfit of Chiyo's dad to tailor fit me.  It's from Azumanga Daioh.  Any suggestions where I can pay to have it made?

Thanks,

Can you let us know right away if there are any open spaces?  I saw last year that there were a lot of tables that were empty.

Thanks a lot,

Bobby ^^

From attending the meeting today, is it really true that there aren't any open spaces for Artist's Alley, since our meetup for SJ JAM really needs it?

Thanks,

Hi Everyone,

Just to let you know, there is a new meetup group that I am a voluntary assistant to.  Hideko is our founder, and also does donate her time to promote Japanese culture and language.  Anime and Manga is shared with the group, as casual networking.  Our main focus is diversity, and learning the language.  If anyone has any questions about it, feel free to email me at [email protected] or Hideko Kough - [email protected].  We also have an Origami group the day before our SJ JAM group.  For more information, here is the official website.

Thanks for taking your time to look at our message. ^^  We welcome everyone from Fanime, to socialize, and share interests.   We are a diverse group that loves and promotes Japanese culture or that are inspired by it, through variety.

Bobby
