yea but that person for one cant make it and two that gathering hasnt even been moddded or updated since october
I think Friday sounds best for me. And, anytime sounds fine. I don't have any other gatherings that day anyway. And...location...not sure...never been to an Ouran gathering...

Yes, I have been attending Fanime since 2005. I remember last year, there was a stage that the FMA gathering used that the Ouran group used also...(though I can't remember if they went first or the FMA group did...) It was in the lobby just inside the front doors of the convention center.

It's the same one we used last year (2008) and the year before (2007). I'm guessing we'll use that one again (2009).
I hope to be in on Friday in time for the gathering...

open disscussion to everyone in the gathering!
Bsaphire has requested that if its possible to, if we could make the gathering on saturday around 4 o clock! the reason behind this is becasue the beat gathering is @ 11:30 am and it would not only be a good time to get some photo coverage but to meet with fellow fans of shojo beat! but at the current time its still being held on friday but now @ 3pm and our meeting spot is on the first floor lobby of the convention center. i think we may move to the fountains near the con for our official location is that ok with you guys?

I hope it remains on Friday because otherwise, it'd be harder for me to come

well thats 1 down including the group of crossover's now where is everyone elses stand on the switch, do it or keep it original on friday? from what im hearing you guys still want it on friday which is cool with me! =] but we cant keep stalemating like this we need to become an offical gathering ASAP! otherwise were just standing there for no reson all ya know? so all im saying is lets get it done and make us official to saphire and the con!
@EdwardElric: the day still is friday but i was just asking on the behalf of the other ouran cosplayers with us if they want would be and prefer the change

ok im going to ask evryone else to confirm that there going, i dont want this gathering to be a bust with just your group heero and myself
last thing and final discussion do we want to make the events privite and for the gathering only or do we want to publisize and let everyone on the con in on the events? the cake eating contest will be fun its sad that we only have 2 honeys officialy going, which is hikaru would be a fun one for the public just we need more of those twins!!
I think the events sound like a lot of fun! I'm not sure who I will be (The costumes are so expensive, and we don't own a sewing machine :\) but me and my friend are really hoping we will be there!
Just as a suggestion, if anybody is willing to, we could set up a tea party/picnic. If I can, I could try to bring some cookies and such, there is a spot near the fountains that we could set it up, I was there last year for the Death Note gathering and noticed a few cosplayers hanging out over by the trees in the shade having a mini picnic.
It would be awesome if we could set it up like an actual Host Club, but I'm not sure of any place we could do that other then the spot by the trees/fountain. Where is the cake eating contest going to be held? And is the gathering in the main lobby and it might move outside or what? Just want to have all the info I can get~! c:

OK ill add you and your freind as ? marks till you decide if you can make it and who you'll go as. oh and to answer your ? yes the meeting spot is on the first floor in the lobby of the con center and all the events will be taken place on the fountains. although i love your idea for A REAL host club but that would take alot of discussion with the folks @ fanime, yet i adore the picnic idea that could help not only the gathering and make it longer and funer, but its a good way to start the cake eating contest near those trees you spoke of, although as of now the events are not finalized but i would like to finalize as soon as i hear from the rest of the folks in the gathering to either make it host clubers only or to make them open to the con. STILL THOUGH EVERYONE ALL IN FAVOR OF THE PICNIC/POTLUCK IDEA???

again another lovely idea for the gatehering and may add on it on to the gathering events and if i continue to add on to the gathering the time will increase but if it tends to stay the way it is now give or take id say the gathering may last half hour-to 1 hour tops give or take. really though keep ideas flowing and it possibly may extend. although again we need to hear everyone elses opinions on the additions before again i make any changes, sorry i dont mean to sound kinda picky its just that i want it to be fare for everyone to partcicipate. one last thing i should tell you, i love in westminster which is also a 5-6 hr drive to san jose. really if i may sugest you really might consider waking up early or stay in hotel the previous day. beisdes i have faith you gals will make it to san jose before 3 pm. all i have to say is good luck and i hope to see both of you @ the gathering

welcome all newcomers! so i should all you know ive added you to the list! i was wondering if you were game on the activities and if you had any ?'s or concerns on the gathering? (after all im the initial host) also to everyone in the gathering would we like to add a picnic or potluck to our gathering? and since we have even more twins i think ill notify B to let her know that all activities are go and only open to our gathering! =] currently i am adding the game of red light green light into the mix of activities, as well as fan requests for photos during the photoshoot. still since we are still a month away im still taking even more sugestions for activities to lengthen the gathering since most of us here would like a long gathering.in the meantime if this gathering goes well this year im hoping to do an ACTUAL host club next year with everyone @ fanime. allong with the regular gathering next year. well hope everyone is currently happy with what we have so far and i pray this gathering goes well,

good point well edward has a crossover mori, but if u want a real mori then that would be a good idea to advertise our gathering despite the fact i still have it advertised on cosplay.com. please feel free to promote us guys! ill add you to the list with question marks till you can confirm you're both coming.

I've already posted a journal about it in my deviantart. As for the picnic idea...it sounds nice. That's just my opinion though.

hey i noticed that the events were posted officialy but who posted us for the gathering and events to move from the con fountains to the hilton fountains??? im not mad i just would like som1 to fess up. but if it may be for our best interest than does anyone here have pictures of the fountains for the hilton???
From what it looks like, after-gathering events - the cake contest and the "Red Light, Green Light" game - are listed in the Official Gathering list. I'm guessing that maybe it's easier to have both the gathering and the after-gathering events in the same location, in a location where there's not that much foot traffic and a ton of room to do what we want to do without having do deal with the main traffic coming in and out of the main doors of the convention center.
i guess that makes sence.... does anyone know where the fountains are for the hilton??

It is a good idea to maybe move it there, but terrible for those of us that have no clue where to go XD Is it like, a short walk away? My parents are following me and MistressWinter around and my Mom can't walk too far without having to rest for a few minutes, so it could be a bit of a problem.
Me and MistressWinter are still un-confirmed, seeing as we still don't have our cosplays yet, but I'm pretty sure we will be able to make it. C:

ok guys were one week away and i cant wait any longer!!!!! although i have some semi-bad news, my job @ disneyland is being really effd up about my schedule and even though i posted and asked back in feb for fanime weekend off i was still denied for the weekend,BUT this does not mean i officialy call it quits or cancel the gathering because im going to speak to my manager and see if she can arange somthing for me, so in the event of me not showing i'd hapily hand down the gathering to whoever would like to take over in my place. as said though its currently unofficial till i find out my results from my manager so im praying to god (i hope you guys do to) that i get thru with my schedule and make it there with you guys

Me and MistressWinter will NOT be able to make it in cosplay :c We weren't able to find the costumes in so little time, so we can't make it! MistressWinter had her heart set on a certain wig too, which we couldn't get.
Hope you guys all have fun! :D I'm sure next year we can be there for the Ouran Gathering. Please take tons of pictures and videos for us! <3 I'll see if we can drop by and take pictures, but it all depends on if our alarm clocks will wake us up this time! (Last year, every alarm clock we set didn't go off so we didn't get up on time)

Lol it was so much fun. Cake fighting with Hikaru was awesome and the games were fun too. I demand yaoi pics and crack pairings.

It was amazing~! :D I dressed as Hunny(I was the short one xD) I cant wait for next year's gathering! :3 Just to let everyone know, I'll be making Hunny's final outfit that he wore in episode 26(the orange outfit) for next year's b/w ball. Its such a shame Fanime ended so quickly..

AHH good to know this juicy info, yes like nami im demanding all the photos of the yaoi (espcially me and daddy) and incests, and photos of the crack pairings, hahahaha i cant wait to see the photos of us crashing other gatherings while snapping our fingers, hahahah the cake fight was so EPIC!!! to be honest i felt that the gathering was a complete episode of the host club, any1 agree? btw im going to post a thread for 2010 so evryone be on the look out! =]

Well, I think that's about it :P Looking forward to next year. I am so tempted to make 3 of the cosplays for Ouran. Kaoru's final outfit-green, server outfit, and the dress. Possibly they can be all done before next year, but that is still unknown. The dress should be done for sure though.
