Fanime has it's very own IRC chatroom! It's #fanime on the Rizon network. We have a very friendly group of regulars on there, so feel free to join in ^_^. If no one is talking when you initially sign on, don't just leave. There isn't always constant chatter, so just leave it on in the background 'till discussion starts up.

For those of you who haven't used IRC yet, xchat should work fine. Mac users might wanna try Colloquy or MacIrssi. There's also some very nice web clients available for those who don't want to download, which you can find here and here.

Hey guys! Just wanted to let everyone know, we had our first meetup with some regulars from our IRC chatroom, and it was a great success =]. It was quite a nice day out, and it included some shopping at samio (<3), browsing cemeteries, missing buses, and getting chased by squirrels. Or, in other words, we walked and explored some parts of SF, including Japantown, the mission on 16th, Golden Gate Park, and finished with dinner at Pacific Catch. We all had a great time, so hopefully more people will join the channel and we can get a bigger gathering next time =D.

he's obviously not for real, but, I really don't see how it's funny...I doubt most people do. I imagine tons of people take him seriously though, so in a sense, he's doing really awesome job of irl troll :P
