Honestly, I hope they have SSFIV: AE available.  I know some people were salty about not being able to play SSFIV due to the Vanilla SFIV cabinets last year.

Awww, no WWE All Stars? XD

I second this.  Bitches don't know 'bout my JoMo. =P

So, the other day I was watching the MTV show "Silent Library", and I thought to myself "Has anyone else ever tried something like this at a convention before?"

For those that don't know, Silent Library is a game show in which a group of 6 undergoes various crazy challenges for cash.  The catch is that they have to stay as quiet as possible (hence the library atmosphere) while going through these challenges or they don't get anything.

Just throwing this out there.  You could probably do it for various prizes instead of cash.

Hmm...next year?  How about Mega Ran, aka Random?

Easy.  Hidari Shotaro from Kamen Rider W.  I took a picture with one Shotaro cosplayer and saw a picture of a female Shotaro along with a female Philip there.

Finding tokusatsu cosplays is a rarity in anime conventions IMO, so that was an awesome surprise.

ooh did anyone see a wedding yuna? most of the time my dress was hooked up :)

Was that you?  I remember passing by a Wedding Dress Yuna and then doing a double-take and asking.

My gallery (only 80 some-odd pics, though): http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=441444&id=604105450&l=334b102253

You shouldn't need a Facebook profile to view these.  If you still can't see it, let me know.

Renn Kiriyama and Masaki Suda   ;D

SO out of the question.  There is no way they'd get anyone from the cast of Kamen Rider Double to come out to California for something like this, especially since they'd either still be filming the final few episodes or another movie around the time of the con.

I'd like Patricia Ja Lee to come back, personally.  Outside of that...

- Johnny Yong Bosch
- Laura Bailey
- Nolan North (probably next to impossible, but it'd be awesome to see the dude behind Nathan Drake's voice)
- Steve Burton (English voice of Cloud)

Nothing else comes to mind at the moment.  I'd say Vic Mignogna and Crispin Freeman, but I've seen Crispin at AX already and Vic's slated to come to Tucson in March; I'll probably catch him there.

And concerning the G4 thing, I'd pretty much be against the idea.  Although it'd be nice to see someone like Kevin or Alison Haislip there, they'll pretty much be doing one of three things (if not all three at once): snark, gawk, and mock.  They'd pretty much alienate themselves from the rest of the con if they showed up IMO.

-EDIT-
Vertexguy, aka Chris Kline.  I'd say get him; he's pretty awesome.

A few things:

- TAKE A SHOWER BEFORE YOU SHOW UP.  Good hygiene goes a long way.  Brushing your teeth is also recommended.
- Be courteous.  Don't be that dude who just accidentally bumps into someone and then walks off like it wasn't his problem.  Apologize to the person if that happens.
- MAKE A BUDGET.  Figure out how much you want to spend on what day (food, hotel expenses, any disposable income for the Dealer's Hall, etc.).  Plus, when out in the Dealer's Hall, browse around a bit.  You never know; that figure or model you've wanted so badly might be cheaper at another booth or stall.  This also goes hand-in-hand with buying on impulse; try not to do this.  You don't want this convention to become a financial money pit for you personally.
- HYDRATE, HYDRATE, HYDRATE.  If you gotta go to CostCo before the con and buy 3 cases of bottled water, do so.  A lot of people in one place = a lot of body heat, which will also lead to dehydration, fainting, etc.  Make sure you have some water on you when you're out and about; don't just drink some when you go get a bite to eat.
- Tip the masseuses if you decide to get a massage.  Just throwing that out there.
- Don't stay in one particular area for too long.  Go around; enjoy the sights.  If you stay in one area the entire time, before you know it the con's already over and you haven't really done anything.
- Keep a positive attitude.  Con drama = no fun for anybody, plus you risk getting banned.  Don't be that guy.
- Try to watch the language (as in the profane or vulgar kind), especially amongst the younger kids.  Although some of them might also say such things, I'd still watch out; you might accidentally offend somebody and not know it.
- Get a good night's rest the night before.
- If you feel a little too overwhelmed by all the goings-on (stress, exhaustion, just too much anime, people constantly saying "you just blah blah blah"), just get away for a bit.  Go back to your hotel room; take a load off.  Get a power nap in.  Relax.
- Try to be sociable.  It's an anime convention; we all like the same thing.  Try to make a few new friends while you're at it.

That's about all I can think of.  Also, one last thing:  if you see any demonstrators or protesters like the ones we got last year, try not to egg 'em on.  The only thing you're doing is making yourself as well as the staff look bad.  If an incident like that happens, just call the police.

Hey y'all,

Anyone know of a good place I could go to for wigs and contacts?  I'm actually planning on going to next year as M-Ryotaro from Kamen Rider Den-O.

I also want to try creating the actual DenGasher Sword Mode prop, as well.  Any tips?  Also, some references...

The actual DX toy version of the weapon.  Obviously, the blade isn't big enough. =P

You can either just reply or send me a PM.  Thanks!

That was awesome, as was me winning the Ken sketch from Ken for $90. XD

I would've uploaded this to Facebook, but my mom has one as well, and I didn't want a religious butt-chewing from her.

Also, props to the dude with the boombox who Rickrolled those idiots on Saturday. XD

DX version, ghetto mod (God bless luggage straps and sewing kits XD).

I got the belt on eBay a couple years ago when Den-O was in its stretch run.  I just recently got a DX DenGasher as well, but I gotta wait until Monday to get it from the post office >_<

I was also wearing a DX DecaDriver on that specific day (the Den-O belt was actually worn Friday and Sunday).

Speaking of people I wouldn't mind meeting again, there was this one girl on Monday cosplaying as Tifa.  She was over at the Tabletop section of the gaming hall playing a game of Jenga when she ended up losing (I didn't do anything and she technically didn't lose; one of the staffers knocked the tower down on purpose XD).  I asked her whether or not she wanted a hug, and she came up and hugged me (I did take a picture too, but it zoomed in way too much on the face, so it's kind of obscured).

I never did ask for her name, and I'm kind of regretting it right now.  If anyone knows who she is, let me know.  She's actually pretty cute.
