Hello Fanime powers that be.
I'm an OC Remixer known for playing piano tunes from popular video games...

I was wondering if it were possible to set up a piano somewhere at the con. I know it would be an enjoyable addition to the con as there are very talented musicians that attend and grace us with their musical talent.
I understand this was proposed before ( http://forums.fanime.com/index.php/topic,10890.0.html ) and that there were concerns about abuse.
I suggest we get a piano that has a lock. If there is a rental/insurance fee, I wouldn't mind paying out of pocket and managing access to the piano myself. I could place a sign stating the rules which could include approved hours of play, black listed songs, time limits, etc. It could also have my phone number on it so i could come by to unlock it for those who request to use it. Placing a tip jar would help reimburse myself for cost of rental/insurance.
As for placement of the piano, It would be best if it wasn't in the main hallway as that would conflict with the main live programing stage and it gets quite busy. Inside artists alley might work. I remember there being a group of musicians playing there together last year and it was quite nice. If that doesn't work, perhaps somewhere on the Marriot side.
