So sorry for the confusion about gathering location on Sunday!  There was a bit of a mishap with scheduling in which our gathering location was double booked as the waiting area for the Speed Dating panel.  Glad to see everyone who was eventually able to find the gathering in the lower lobby of the Fairmont Ballroom.  Hope you all enjoyed Fanime 2015!

On another note: BSaphire has not yet begun time/location signups but let us decide when we will hold this gathering.  In the past, we have held the gathering on the morning of B&W ball day (typically Sunday).  Does this time continue to work for attendees?  Please voice your opinion about the time and location.  Thank you.

First post updated with day, location, and times for both the gathering and the event.  Please note that we will be off-site at the Fairmont Ballroom Lobby.  This is where we went for the tea party last year.  If you are not sure where this is, I will be at (or near) the Gatherings table on Sunday to lead people to the site.  If you have concerns about this, please state them. If many people object to the current gathering location, I will look into changing it.

Also, is anyone interested in participating in a potluck tea party? Since our gathering and event are around the noon hour a potluck might be nice.

I have submitted a time/location request to BSaphire, so we'll see what we get.

Also, if you are willing and able, please bring some treats to share at our tea party. This needs not be anything fancy.  The potluck tea party is just something fun to have while we relax and chat.  :)

Okay, another hypothetical situation.

I've checked and double checked each individual badge pick-up in my group to make sure that they are all set to Clockwork; thing is, all of the badges are registered for Fanime. Despite having checked with Registration on the pick-up location, I have this weird, nagging feeling that there is a possibility that my group's badges will end up at Fanime instead of Clockwork... If something like this happens am I going have to go to the other location and stand in line again or will I be accommodated for the mix-up? I experienced the 7+ hour wait time at the Fairmont last year which is the exact reason I have set my pick-up to Clockwork.

I know I'm not the only one having issues with the group registration. I created a group account (and think I'm supposed to get an email confirmation, but haven't...) and once I log in, I can't start adding members to register. Should I just contact reg department or are they fixing it at the moment?

I'm having a similar problem. I've added people to my group and am ready to pay, but I am not getting an option to choose who is picking the badges up; should I assume it is me as I was the first in the group?

Hotel Changes for FanimeCon 2014

For FanimeCon 2014, we are trying something different in order to make booking a hotel room less of a headache and more fair for our attendees. It is now going to be a requirement for our attendees to have a FanimeCon 2014 membership in order to book a hotel room.

Does the name on the card being used to book a hotel room have to match the name on the Fanime membership used to book it?  My roommate, who isn't considering getting a badge at this time, has offered to charge the room bill to her card since I'm charging a bunch of badges to mine.

A quick question about the group pre-reg. I noticed that the first 5 badges must be paid for at the same time. Will badges that are added after the first 5 be charged to the same card, or can a different card be used?

Last year pre-reg had the wonderful option that allowed you to pay for all unpaid badges. This meant that person A could register and pay, then person B could register and pay for himself without incurring the cost of person A. So on and so forth. Personally, I don't mind paying the first 5 badges and then getting paid back by my friends but I don't really want to be the one responsible for the cost of 10 badges ($550) on my card - especially in the case that I'm picking up badges for friends of friends who I do not personally know.

My question got a little buried in that, so let me put it here at the end: Will badges that are added after the first 5 (if I pay for the first 5 before adding more) be charged to the same card, or can a different card be used?

I'll try to avoid the super popular gatherings when scheduling. I just started watching marathoning Free! - it's a very good show. Haha, I started it yesterday and already have Free! cosplays planned though I don't think I'll be going to the gathering.
