Overall, I enjoyed Fanime 2011 and will be attending next year. All of the staff I spoke with was friendly, though they seemed a little overwhelmed, and I was satisfied with the events and panels that I attended or participated in.

With that said, I have three gripes about this year's con and I would love to see them fixed in 2012. The first is the lack of schedules. I do not own a smartphone and did not have internet access at my hotel, so I had to sit at the information table with a list of the panels and events that I wanted to attend and get the times from a staffer on Saturday- only to find out that I had missed two and a third was starting down the hall in five minutes. My second complaint concerns the timing of the Masquerade and Black and White Ball. Both were scheduled at the same time on Sunday night, along with other popular events such as Speed Dating and the Butler Cafe. I would have liked to attend both the Masquerade and the Ball, and next year I'd like it if they could be scheduled for different evenings. My third issue is with the ban on outside food at events held in the convention center. I understand that it is against hotel union rules to have outside food inside the convention center, but in the past we were able to bring food and hold picnics on the upstairs patio near the Mariott. This year, we were booted from the patio and relocated to an outdoors location with no tables or seating. Next year, if this is to be the case, I would love it if some tables or chairs could be provided.

I've seen people wear wigs, but I'm not sure how comfortable it will be.

Well, I can always take it off and leave it in my room if I end up feeling like it's too hot, right? My room won't be far away.

Thanks for the advice. :D

Mie says she's going to a concert, but she'll meet us there later. And hopefully this line won't be as long as that last line we had to wait in D:

I'd probably just pass on the wig, TBH. I wore one out dancing a little while back, and while slippage wasn't an issue, it got extremely hot under there. Clip-on extensions or a half-wig would be a good alternative, if you have 'em.

Ah, is that what you're wearing? <333 Awesome! I can't wait to see it.

You're still my "date," right? ;D We should track down Mie and ask her along, too.

Yes! I'm not wearing my tights there, though, and I still have to dye my hair flowers XD

Of course~ Marian might be coming along with us, too, since she's in the fashion show. I'll drop Mie a line and see if she can be persuaded to come...

Looks good to me. See you at the BWBall.

Thank you!

Going through past posts, I'm pretty sure this is appropriate, but I just wanted to double-check:

Would this dress be okay? The shortest part is just at the top of my knees, but I definitely have time to hunt down an underskirt if necessary.

We can run back to my room to quickly change. :D

I'm planning on doing my longer, more involved getting ready (makeup, hair, nails, etc.) before the panel, so you can always stop by then to get ready, and then leave your outfit for the ball in my room and we can run there, change, and run to the ball (which is in the same hotel, so it's not too bad~).

That would be fantastic if I could! I may stop by in the morning to drop my stuff off so I'm not toting it around all day (and I certainly don't want to forget it, either dx).

Wonderfinch> Since the panel is on Sunday, I think it will be fine. Thanks anyway, though~

Are we still going to go to the Ball together, after the panel, of course? <3

Of course :D I'm going to have to change pretty quickly, though dX

And I'm excited to see the cityscape OP-- I remember you were talking about it a while back and it sounded lovely!

I'm going to be in Anaheim Friday morning, so that wouldn't work out. Thanks anyway, though. <3

Well, since I'll be in Anaheim right before Fanime, I doubt I'll have the time or energy to bake any cookies to bring. :< Sorry about that.

Ah, I'm leaving Friday morning so that wouldn't work well at all dX But if you want to bring some stuff by my house (or have your sister bring it) sometime in the week or so before, just lemme know and I'd be happy to take it~

It doesn't look like this will be conflicting with anything else I'm doing, so I should be able to make it to the picnic!

I can also bring cookies along :D I'd love to bring real food, but I won't have access to a kitchen and I don't want to be feeding anyone days-old stuff.

Nina Star 9 makes really cute stuff. I've also made my own skirts and dresses before so if you need any more advice feel free to ask.
Thank you very much! :D

I don't have the money to go to both Fanime and Fantasies dans les Mondes des Reves, sadly. :< Instead, I'll make the most of the Fanime events and the other events that I don't need to buy a ticket for. (It doesn't help that my schedule is jam-packed with cosplays, as well as all the lolita events...) I can't wait to see the panel this year, though. If you need any extra clothes, just let me know and I'll bring some over or send them along with another girl if you need them by Friday. <3

I'll be going down on Friday morning if you need me to take anything for you c:
