It's that time again!!
Pretty much the same rules as always!
- Post a variety of types of guests (though there is a MusicFest guests thead (http://forums.fanime.com/index.php/topic,18708.0.html))
- Speaking of which, please post MusicFest guests actually in the MusicFest thread (http://forums.fanime.com/index.php/topic,18708.0.html)! Since it's a different department, that's the easiest way to get them to see your suggestions
- Post guests that Fanime realistically has a chance of bringing out (so no one too big or too expensive or too obscure or too dead or too broken up or that doesn't actually do appearances, etc.)
- Post guests that people will actually want to see
- You can post your ~dream guests~, but keep in mind that not everyone is suitable as a guest for Fanime (so note it in your post if it is less realistic and don't get into fights over whether a guest is reasonable or not -- civil discussion of the suitability of a guest, fine, "OMG U HAV 2 BRING OUT MALICE MIZER U SUXXORZ IF U HATE ON THEM >:( >:( >:(" is not)
Have fun~~!
Yes, we are up to 9 exclamation points for 9 years of this thread!
Wow I've been in these forums a long time!
Music Fest guest suggestions belong in this thread (http://forums.fanime.com/index.php/topic,18708.0.html), not here, as they are separate departments. Thanks!
Vic Micnogna or Sean Schemmel. I'd love those.
I would love to have Miyu Matsuki as a guest. My dream guests would be Kenjiro Hata and/or Kōsuke Fujishima, but I don't know if they even do appearances, especially in the US.
I would love to see: Kunihiko Ikuhara, Yuki Kajiura (with or without the rest of Kalafina, could be a musical guest!!), Chiwa Saito, Misuzu Togashi, Shizuka Furuya, Kazuaki Morita, and/or Lily Hoshino!
+1 for Lanipator, KaiserNeko, and/or Takahata101 of Team Four Star!
Miyavi!
Thanks for the suggestions, keep them coming
Kana Hanazawa. Such a talented Seiyuu and she would make for an awesome guest.
I wonder if it were possible to setup a poll... where everyone could add to options and edit their ballets... that'd be quite efficient.
For the record, Mark Hildreth or Scott McNeil

Evan is keeping count for us. =) I'm of course checking the thread too and making mental notes.

That's correct I have a database containing thousands of requests that I run a plethora of analysis on.
I'd like Kamui Cosplay to be invited for a workshop on making cosplay. She is one of the best cosplayers out there and she's been interested to coming to the US to do some kind of workshop but there has never been enough interest. Her work can be seen here: https://www.facebook.com/KamuiCos
also Rikki Simons (Voice of Gir), if HyperCon was able to get him, Fanime should have no problem. He's an absolutely amazing guy and I was a little sad seeing him not have much to do at such a tiny con, literally the size of a gym, on his birthday last year.
Oooh, I second Kana Hanazawa and Kalafina.
Maybe DOES or Spyair?
I was going to re-suggest the Game Grumps, but....
Instead, I'll suggest Egoraptor, JonTron, AVGN, LittleKuriboh (again), and other internet/Youtube celebrity personalities
SF Taiko in a longer/larger performance than this year's performance by sj taiko
I, for one would love to see Vic Mignogna or Johnny Yong Bosch at Fanime '14. They are two of my favorite voice actors. X3
And also an "Original Character workshop". The idea is to work with other people, or by yourself, on an "original character". I have been making my own character for a while now for stories and roleplay. It can be completely unique or it can be based off any anime. The point is to make your own character with its own personality, backstory, appearance, weapons, abilities, etc. Its a great way to be creative and its so much fun.
I also second Kana Hanazawa (http://myanimelist.net/people/185/Kana_Hanazawa) as guest for Fanime 2014 :3
Aoi Yuuki (http://myanimelist.net/people/6686/Aoi_Yuuki), Ai Kayano (http://myanimelist.net/people/10765/Ai_Kayano) and Aki Toyosaki (http://myanimelist.net/people/599/Aki_Toyosaki) for guest would be great too.
Kana Hanazawa, Ayana Taketatsu, Rie Kugimiya, STUDIO Trigger, Kyoto Animation
Music Guest? ClariS, fripSide, supercell (i doubt they'll come ;_;)
I second KyoAni.
Just a reminder that Music Fest guest suggestions belong in this thread (http://forums.fanime.com/index.php/topic,18708.0.html), not here. :]
I'm putting this here and in the musicfest thread because clockwork alchemy doesn't have it's own forums. Can we get Steam Powered Giraffe back next year? Maybe have a show where they preform at the San Jose Convention Center? They were a major highlight.
Hello guys, I just wanted to make a suggestion for a guest I would want to see.
J. MICHAEL TATUM.
He is seriously my role idol, it would be great to see him here, and lots of people love him, and who he voice acts. I think he would be a great addition to the Fanime 2014 guest list, please consider him? c:
Maybe we could have Troy Baker or Nolan North come down.
Monika Lee, Amie Lynn, and Jessica Nigri.
So I heard about these amateur voice actors, and they all work for the same production studio, which comes out with a bunch of cool fandubs and stuff.
http://crystaldreamproductions.webs.com/: Crystal Dream Productions has been around since 2008, and they work with actors such as Whitney Jay, Matthew Garland, Bryce Buckley, and many others. Here is what they posted on their web-site.
Welcome to Crystal Dream. We are home to a multitude of VA talent and we hope you enjoy your stay. Our services include finding you workshops, companies to work for, and even how to contact your local union office in your state. Unfortunately we are not able to assist those outside of the United States. Be sure to check back to see if our policies have changed! We may even be coming to your state to hire you as one of our crew and become part of the Spectrum Experience!
Right now, we are new, and rather small, but our dream is to grow and expand so one day we can buy rights to anime and produce it to the public while also being able to hire, and someday pay, the amazing talent we sign on to be a part of Crystal Dream. Crystal Dream right now is taking submissions from all kinds of voice actors, and while we may be only doing fandubs and small stuff now, we hope you will still join up with us. We'd love to have all of you!
So I think it would be cool to have them there! :D
+1 for Crystal Dream Productions.
I think crystal dream would be a good idea to see.
Sounds like a good idea.
I think it would be awesome to have Crystal Dream Productions come out and showcase a panel of awesome tips and tricks on amateur voice acting and even professional voice acting too. So if you guys want to have these guys come out and show you all what there made of? Then I think you should invite them.
Well, two people both post identical text promoting their voice acting website.
That's a little suspicious
I'm sorry bout that whole little confusion in my last post. I fixed it up so there shouldn't be anymore problems. I hope?

Well when four posts (seemingly) from different users (each with that being the one and only post for that accout) all support the same VA website and the first and forth post do it with the exact same text, there is something suspicious....Not sure editing the text to be different will change that.....

I see what you mean and again i do apologize for that. Though what i trying to say is that i'm trying to help my friend who VOWhitneyJay (who posted the original idea of having Crystal dream Productions come to fanime next year) get the team out to Fanime since we are apart of the same group itself. I didn't mean to post the same thing even though that won't change it, no matter what I do, and I know about the mistake I made. Just please don't take this the wrong way? and thin that were doing anything suspicious cause truly were not trying, nor have the will to so so.
Cassandra Lee
I would love to see Reika! She's a Japanese cosplayer and attends many cosplay events throughout Asia. This year she will be a guest at Anime Matsuri in Texas.
You can view her cosplays here: http://worldcosplay.net/member/87/ https://www.facebook.com/pages/Reika/315573555144954
Seconding Reika! Her cosplays are just so well crafted and gorgeous to boot.
Daisuke Ono would be amazing to have as well. I love how he can change his voice and atmosphere for so many characters.
And Wit Studio! I'd love to hear from the director on some of their choices for Attack on Titan. (As an added bonus, having Isayama there would be crazy amazing!)
Third vote for REIKA!!!
She's very different from most Cosplay Guests in America because of her crossplaying and theatrical approach, and she is wildly successful in the industry *because* of it!!

Count me in for Reika!!
I think this user has great taste. I agree with all three of their suggestions. Reika is pretty amazing as is Mr. Ono. I think the convention center might explode from all the attendees if the director for SnK showed up. It may not be realistic, but hey, when you dream, dream big!
Another vote for Reika, even doubly awesome if Kaname would come with her.
Also hoping for Yuegene (cosplayer) and Touya Hibiki (cosplayer) (though unlikely? haha)
A vote for Miyano Mamoru (voice actor, singer)!
I myself would love to see J. Michael Tatum here, that would be amazing other guests I would like are Todd Haberkorn, and Vic Mignogna, gosh I'm blanking right now.
I'd sell my left arm to have Noah Watts and Adrian Hough come to Fanime like they did at Youmacon
One Ok Rock(amazing stuff o_o)
Kyary
Kanon Wakeshima
Tricot
Maxium the Hormone
Flow
Jasmine
Seiyuu:
Kana Hanazawa
Yuu Asakawa
Kouki Uchiyama
Mamoru Miyano
Megumi Toyoguchi
American VA
D.C Douglas
Phil Lamarr
Tara Strong
Mangaka
Hajime Isayama
Someone connected or previously connected with Gainax other than Hiroyuki Yamaga. Sadamoto would be off the chart but other than Hideaki Anno who I doubt would come, I'm open. Also the guys who left and founded Trigger.
I was wondering too, has Fanime ever had eroge or hentai manga/anime staff show up? E.g. Toshio Maeda last year was at Big Wow the week before at the SJCC and later showed up at AX.

Did you miss Yokota Mamoru these past few years? ^^;
Forgot about him since he wasn't a guest this year. ??? But he did some other non-H work also. I guess I meant someone who was an H specialist.
Dante Basco, Steve Blum, Vic Mignogna. I met them at SacAnime winter this weekend and they were cool dudes. Dante said he'd just started attending cons.
Anyone from Hayate no Gotoku, (anime or manga,) would be great, of course. I would really like to see the author of the online Manwa "The Gamer". His work is amazing, and definately professional quality.
Actually, the best would be Fred Gallagher from MegaTokyo.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and suggest Team Four Star and The Creatures for guests!
http://roccobotte.com/post/74706349366/hi-rocco-i-was-curious-about-whether-you-guys-would-go
Having Mega64 at Fanime would be excellent
Game Grumps and Mega64 : )
Baby Metal
Makoto Shinkai! *_*
I would like to see for voice actors Brina Palencia and Luci Christian as guests for FanimeCon.
LittleKuriboh is often there with sharkrobot, but I would love to see him as a guest actually. Team Four Star would also be great guests.

They're already going to a con in Florida on Memorial Day weekend...
Back-on!!!!!
;D i think aya hirano should be a guest at the con i feel a lot of people would come if she was there. shes the voice actress for haruki in s.o.s brigade
Invite Mega64~!
This must be a thing.
The Creatures and Game Grumps would be pretty neat, too~ :3

Oh, seconding Kanon Wakeshima! I've been a big fan since her debut with "Still Doll." She's produced by Mana (of Malice Mizer fame), and has modeled/collabed with Baby the Stars Shine Bright and Volks :D she also collabs with the bassist from An Cafe (who was at Fanime in 2008), also named Kanon.
some one cool that can show up for $3-5k!!
Watsuki Nobuhiro would be my DREAM
It was cool when we had Daisuke Ishiwatari. Wish I remembered to bring my Guilty Gear PS2 disc for him to sign though...
Momoi,
Kyary,
Ayumi Hamasaki,
Flow (3rd year if they come),
Dempagumi Inc.
AKB48
The main Free! cast would be awesome :D Or any other male seiyuu.
Others:
AAA
Kazuki Yone
MUCC
Linked Horizon
Isn't it kinda last minute to book guests? It's about 2 months away.
hmm... these are all pretty ridiculous but here I go lol
nabeshin? (director)
Junichi Sato (director)
Akiyuki Shinbo (director)
misako aoki (angelic pretty)
Gen Urobuchi (writer)
seiyuus:
I think any of the snk seiyuus would be cool like...
Yui Ishikawa
Marina Inoue
Saki Fujita (she's also the voice provider for miku!) and so on...
Emiri Katō
Yū Asakawa
norio wakamoto
Aoi Yuuki
mangakas:
koge donbo
hirohiko araki
peach pit
Kouta Hirano
Yuu Watase
akiko higashimura
music related :
berryz koubou
denpa gumi
Momoiro Clover Z
T.M.Revolution
Maaya sakamoto
Jam Project
kikuo (music producer that uses vocaloid/miku)
I wish they would get Danny Choo. He wouldn't have to do any panels or anything, just get him to work on the website so it didn't suck so much.
