I have been casually cosplaying for some time and I love seeing the cosplay groups. I was wondering how something like that gets set up. I tried to rope my friends in but they either are not really into the idea od sorta dropped out of cosplaying. I am not sure if there is a community site for something like that or it is spontaneous and it just happens sorta thing.
Are you on social media? Usually, these cosplay groups form kind of spontaneously, with one cosplayer wanting to do a themed cosplay and then finding others who are also interested. It's definitely easier to pull off when you have a group of cosplayer friends, but being on Instagram helps increase your visibility to other cosplayers who want to form a group.
