Title: The Freeze!
Post by: zoupzuop2 on January 19, 2008, 10:44:42 PM
At least here in Scotts Valley (not too sure about San Jose or its roundabouts), on MONDAY, the temperature is supposed to drop IMMENSELY. The mid-day temperature is supposed to be

TWENTY

degrees Fahrenheit. That's somewhere between "HOLY CRAP" and "YAY SNOW".

Any thoughts? I'm just glad I don't have to work that day. No pushing carts for some jerk who wants double-paper in plastic in a soda flat in a cart from another store.

*Insert Global Warming joke here*
Snow is fun, imo. But San Jose won't get any. (I don't think so anyway.)

From http://www.weather.com/
QuoteSan Jose:
"Showers early becoming a steady light rain later in the day. High 48F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 70%."

Scotts Valley:
"Cloudy with showers. High 54F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 70%."

Quote your numbers boy! San Jose is supposed to be colder on Monday than Scotts Valley. :P

I live in Reno.  We've already lost hours of school for snow, and it's supposed to snow again.  I have learned to HATE snow and everything about it.  (Evil slippery white garbage).  If you get some I hope you enjoy it.  Personally I'm praying for Summer already.

And, of course, come summer we're going to gripe about how hot it is, wishing that it'd be winter already...

I don't complain about the cold.

When it's cold you can just keep adding layers until you are warm, when it's too hot, you can only take off so much clothing until people start complaining.

I doubt we'll be getting snow down in the valley.  There may be snow in the hills and mountains, but conditions rarely allow for snow in the valley.  In any case, forecasts show that we'll only go down to the 40's down here in the valley.  Cold, but not enough for snow on the valley floor.  We'll just get rain as usual >_>

I absolutely HATE... feeling cold, but I can't handle feeling overheated, either. I would much prefer to feel cold rather than overheated, but being extremely sensitive to temperature, my preference is for it to always be warm. It's pretty chilly in Hayward, so I have to have a blanket wrapped around me at all times. Though, it isn't nearly as bad as it was a few weeks ago, when it was storming. The San Mateo area had trees and newspaper stands tipped over, and parts of the El Camino were flooded. Bleh.
