Hello,

Thank you for your concerns.
Unfortunately this year we did not control the use of cameras or video equipment.

For future years, definitely, we would either ask recorders to move to the back or ban them -we would need to consult with Momoi's crew and decide.

Once again, thank you, and your concerns have been noted.

Thank you for attending her concert!!

Live Programming and Events / Industry Guests
February 02, 2009, 09:00:35 PM
Copy and Pasted from: http://forums.fanime.com/index.php/topic,11556.0.html

Hi everyone, this is Yang from GR.

I'd like to see if people are interested to see Industry Guests at Fanime, being more specific company representatives as Guests.
It seems like people had fun watching ALL of Gainax show up in 2008...

It's always cool to meet the production crew of our favorite things!

So, any ideas?
Animation companies, game companies, anything relevant is fair game for discussion!

EX: Capcom, ArcSystem Works, Studio 4C, Madhouse, etc etc.
I'm just throwing whatever is coming up in my head for now.

Please reply in the other thread so we can keep the responses together!
Thanks :).

XD Agreed on all that are listed and then some:
Sakurai Takahiro (Shibuya Yuri/KKM, Suzuku/Code Geass, Cloud/Advent Children)
Hidenobu Kiuchi (Oshitari/Prince of Tennis, Hei/Darker than Black, Ryuuren/Saiunkoku)

Mangaka: You Higuri

Music acts: Nami Tamaki, TM Revolution

^^ That's all I can think of now.

Just to prove GR is reading this thread too... heh.

Hidenobu Kiuchi-san came this year ;).

I believe we (all of us staff) realize that this year's ticketing system is very flawed.
I personally ran around looking for tickets since no one knew where it was and how to get them : /.
This will definitely change. I promise :P.

As for the translators, we did not need any more for other events, so we just kinda brought whoever we could.
I've heard it was 'fun' for some regarding the language barrier though, but thats just for some people : P.
There were only about 10~15 staff at that event, and most of them were busy working out other things ><.
However, comment noted, I'll make sure we have enough next time.

Thanks for the comments, keep them coming : ).

I didn't get to go to the Saturday gathering (busy staff job), but I squeezed a bit of time to show up on Sunday :P.

But I can say Gainax was mighty impressed with all of us! They were so excited seeing their work turned 3D!
Good Job all of you : ).

Was there a Kittan anywhere? I'm sorry if I missed you ><.

There were several good ones. I have to give props to Antispiral Nia for being fairly unusual, timely, and daring - and pulling it off quite well. I would've liked to see the blue highlights in the hair, but everything else in the costume was spot-on.

That Nia was amazing!!

I managed to get a few pictures with her, but I forgot to get contact information : P.
(I was the Simon in Garlock btw.)
Whoever screamed "Whooooo!!" when we were trying to do a dramatic pose, I give you props, cause it spawned a really funny picture XD"

...and that Soldier Blue on Sunday!!
I was Jomy on Saturday ><

Soldier Bluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuueeeeeee~

I'm really sorry this happened, and I apologize for the lack of respect some of our staff have, even though at this point apologies don't help.
I wish you come back next year.

Yes, some of the vols and staff have power issues and over abuse their powers : (.

This is your Guest Relations Head.

Thank you!

Hello all my awesome Fanime attendees!

This is your Guest Relations [GR] Head speaking.
Thank you all for a wonderfully successful Fanime 2008!

As this is my first year in charge, I would like to hear some questions and comments regarding the guests.

PLEASE KEEP WHO YOU WANT TO SEE AS GUESTS IN THIS THREAD:
http://forums.fanime.com/index.php/topic,9915.0.html

This thread is for feedback on Fanime 2008 Guests.

Some things I would like to know:
1) Were you able to interact with our guests as much as you wanted to?
2) What did you think of the guest panels?

x) Anything else related to guests : P.

Thank you again for coming!
See you again in Fanime 2009!

**I will attempt to update this post as new questions come up**

Ideas and Suggestions / Masquerade Staff Seating
June 04, 2007, 06:02:35 AM
I posted the same thing in the other forum which came up with the same topic.

I do feel the need to defend myself (and my follow staff members involved).

I don't know about the actual rules for reserved seating, but I was ordered by my upper to save seats for registration staffers. Registration people apparently couldn't get out of their jobs before Masq started. (Or something along those lines.)

I apologize if I screamed at anyone or I made anyone get out of their original better seat, but I do believe we allowed people to move back to the 2nd and 3rd row when no one showed up at 7:30. Don't ask me why the people who the seats were reserved for didn't show up at the end -_-;;.

But please, I tried to be as calm and logical as I could. Again, I'm sorry if I was aggressive to anyone (which I don't think I did), it's just it was a long day and people not doing what I tell them since I was told to do this doesn't help : /.

Sorry for the confusion but I thought I would contribute to clearing up the mess since I saw this thread.

Quote from: "darkknightcecil"Check the Doors, I Staff had an problem in the upper balcony for some attendees not listening o_o..

I was on the upper balcony too as Staff (Press/Professional).
Yeah some people refused to listen to staff... It's kinda annoying -_-;;.

I'm guessing maybe do a staff skit or something to tell people to turn off their phones and don't use flash photography? It could be really hilarious : p. It least then people can't say we didn't tell them.

I did some digging and I assume it's this thread?

Awesome!

It seems like we're gonna have quite a big turnout this year!

Sucks how I couldn't make it last year >:(
#17
Since the old thread kinda died, I decided to start a new one for us :).
(Yeah I know it was up from last year)

So from the Official Gatherings List:

Sunday May 27th 2007:
3:30 PM ~ Guilty Gear ~ MP&L: Fountains in Front

I assume this is correct.

How many people can we expect to see?  :D

My friends and I we're going as a trio, Ky(me), Sol, and Millia; all in alt colors black and gold :p. Hope to see lots of you there!
#18
Don't know if this is considered funny, but...

For those of you who know Sol Badguy from Guilty Gear.

My friend (Sol) and I (Ky) were walking around Fanime '06 and I can't believe how many "Free what?" or "What's free" that we got : /.

Nothing is free! It's part of the costume!
#19
Hehe yep, Taiwan :D.

Going back soon~

Hey guys~

This is the Akabane (/w silver knives) that came late (/slap) with the Juubei.  It's 1:00am right now and I finally realized maybe I should post something here : p.

Anyway~

I'll be sure to post pictures when Juubei here finally decides to finish getting rif of bad pictures XD. (While I slack off)
Theres always something else to do : p.
So much fun at the gathering, thanks :D.

PS. Thanks to the bloody Ban, or else we'd would have missed the gathering!
