just curious if anyone would be down to check out Sherlock Holmes.
I live by Eastridge mall, but willing to check out this movie anywhere in the bay area [within reason] and might as well make a mini gathering out of it.
mini movie meet ups Routine -
1) make new friends of anime fans or other nerd stuff out there
2) check out the movie - usual audience member antics.
3) rant / gripe about the movie over the usual food court goodies.
4) mini after gathering usually at my home - usually with video games or general hanging out
I'm thinking the Saturday or Sunday - Friday if your crazy or actually bored that day.
Location: Eastridge Mall.
Time: TBA [ any showing before noon ]
Price $6 for AMC early bird ticket.
Who's Who?
Jerry
Sunara
Barnes
Boba + 1 friend?
I'm by eastridge mall too!
I might be interested in this. This movie truly looks hot. X3
But the release date (christmas day) and new years eve are bad for me... Family stuff already planned. X.x;
Hmm... it might be hard to get in opening weekend, especially right after christmas... X.x; But if it is between the 26th and th 27th, the 27th might be better? We could try to hit a early showing when most peeps are in church.
We could wait a week and try New Year's Day (sat) or the 3rd (sun) instead?
Im pretty flexible with the when and where so thats not much of an issue for me.
what i find funny is that 2 people commented, but it looks like more than 5 ppl voted. :P
even if this idea fails, im still gonna try to check out this movie.
I mean its the guy playing Iron man, just no iron man suit. :P
otherwise, I'll be home alot these holidays playing xbox :)
The 26th sounds good to me. Just pick a place and yeah.....
I could make it in the 25th.As far as the 26th and 27th...If I work early then I can make it at night.

And what do you know. I do work early those days. ;D Arrange something already! >:(
I believe Eastridge is closed on Christmas day, though I don't know about the movie theaters.
(cough pros for Eastridge, I'm near it and I get a discount on food COUGH!)
I'd much rather go in the mornings because the matinées are so much cheaper and I'm trying to not burn through all my cash. Plus I never work mornings. D:
But hey, don't make me rain on your parade, y'all folks can go go go . 0:
Theatres are usually open on Xmas, and I coulda swore Eastridge [only] the theatres will be open and the rest of mall is closed off.
and I would catch and early matinee as well, because its cheap.
Otherwise, you should get Coscto Tickets for evening, cuz you save money that way as well.
My vote is for saturday morning.
If not, something tells me Boba will be the only person showing up. Unless i drag one of my roommates to the movie [assuming i could get anyone out of bed on lazy saturday morning. :P ]
If it's jsut us, I don't wanna go. Q_Q Just do the afternoon/evening thingy then~ 0;
Saturday morning is cool with me.
I'll just have to get up early enough to drive that way. X.x;
Oh and remember that we're working on fanime gathering time here. Whatever movie we plan on, we'll probably see the one 1-2hrs later... Stragglers. XP
as far as i can tell, that makes only 3 [Boba, Sunara and myself] of us, [unless anyone else is interested] so i doubt any of us would run extremely late minus the sleeping in part.
Besides most ppl should be up by 10 or 11am anyway :P I think matinee price is good before 12noon. I just called AMC 15 eastridge and its $6 for tickets before noon.
So i think its worth waking up :)
If I go, I can try bringing a friend or two. Or more. Who knowwwwwssss. None of them wake up early though.
no money, so I'm out. Have fun guys!
Sat. morning at Eastridge sounds good to me.
updated first post.
we will be meeting up early saturday morning.
as far as i can tell, we're just meeting up for the movie.
we may or may not wing it to hang out or have a bite to eat afterwards. but ill leave that up to the group.
Happy holidays everyone!
if i'm not scheduled to work, i'll be there. wont know for sure until wednesday afternoon, though.
Someone was oh so kind and got me sick... so I'm unable to drive on Sat.
Unless you decide to postpone this, I guess this means I'm out. T.T
I really wanted to go. Truly...
People and them getting me sick right before gatherings/parties... fume fume~ O:
I would, but I live near Oakridge. Probably gonna go with friends to see it there. :P

I live about 3 miles from there, but my mom's gonna drive me to Eastridge for today anyways (thanks mom!)
9:45am show? I'll be there!
aw too early. ill be sleeping zzzz
Good to see Jerry again....for like 5 minutes before and after the flick :D (it was pretty good).
So, anything planned for New Year's Eve? I don't wanna waste my night at home. XD
Thanks Barnes for being a trooper.
All in All, the movie was pretty interesting. I'm glad i only paid matinee price for it.
It was interesting and fun, but nothing to write home about.
I guess everyone else ended up seeing Avatar... Anyone else see?
It was alright. Wouldn't mind seeing a sequel.

ending totally sets up for a triology.
in the next movie i could imagine going on a 'wild goose chase' only to finally actually SEE Professor Moriarti at the end of the 2nd movie...
the 3rd and ending movie of the triology [if it properly follows the books] Holmes and the Professor both die at the Falls... :P
