Can you still purchase full weekend badges online after May 1st?
Yes, it will be very similar to how last year was. The registration system will likely be down for a few days starting on/near May 1st but will be back up in a few days.

Hi guys,

So one clarification- you don't actually purchase a badge. You purchase a membership and the badge is a representation of your membership (kind of like a gym membership).

You can't register and purchase a badge for someone who is not present. The registrant has to be there for badge pick-up in the minimum if they are not registered in a group.

If you have any more questions on the registration policies, feel free to email registration AT fanime DOT com.

Registration / Re: What time to pick up my badge?

Hi guys,

Times are as posted on the FAQ: http://www.fanime.com/registration-faq/

Child memberships I believe will be available on Thursday for pick-up. You'll need to bring your nephew to the Special Registration line to get the Child badge.

Registration / Re: 2-Person Group Registration?
April 22, 2015, 11:04:47 AM
We will try our best to have a minimum wait line again this year.

Unfortunately I do not think we will be bringing back the 2 people groups for this year. Perhaps in future years though but definitely no promises.

Registration / Re: Question about registration name?

Hi,

Yes, that is correct. Please note that even if it says "FanimeCon Membership," it will still be under your name (or the first person who registered's).

Hi everyone,

If you are experiencing issues with the group minimum (reaching the error message even when having 3+ group members) or have registered 2 people and do not have a 3rd to make a group registration, please contact [email protected]. They will be able to look into the issue and troubleshoot accordingly.

Thanks!

The leader should - it seems like there may be a bug in the system with groups. We are working to get this sorted as soon as possible.

Thanks for your patience - check back tomorrow and see if it's resolved then.

My baby will be one year and a month old and this will be her first con. This will be my 6th year I think. Cant wait for Fanime 2015!

Do you know where the Special Registration line be at and when they are open?
Can I pick up my group badges as well with my baby or do I have to pick those up first?
Hi Miya,

Special Registration will have a booth at the left side of the room and will be marked as Special Registration. It'll be open during the normal hours of Registration.

You may pick up your group badges with your baby's badge at Special Registration.

Just please shuffle the preprinted badges next year. My entire group of 20 got the same Elliot badge.
I don't mind waiting the extra 2 minutes now that registration is a snap. Thanks lol.  ;)
WE WILL SEE.

Jk I will try to make this happen next year.

The tape and line has to be there for any line that may form in the future. If they take it down and then the line starts blocking fire exits etc, now they have to worry about re-positioning people and establishing boundaries so that people don't jump the line.

Additionally, by building in that maze they also helped to stagger the people who got to the door. For example, if there is a line of 10 people at the front of the maze and then 10 more people enter the "maze" and take about a minute to get to the front, now the line is no longer there. It gives registration time they need to process any residual line.

Seriously, if all people have to complain about was having to walk through an EMPTY line maze, I'd say Registration honestly has nothing to change.
The real reason why we left it up instead of having a way to cut through the lines was so that the people are staggered. We ended up making a cut eventually, once we were convinced that we wouldn't have a huge rush on Saturday morning, Sunday morning, etc.

I was planning on just going a half-weekend Sunday and Monday, but now I'm considering going Saturday as well. Would going Saturday, Sunday and Monday cost the same as a full-weekend badge? I'm guessing it would. I just wanna be sure before I make any last-minute decisions.
If you purchased 3 single day memberships, it would actually cost more than a full weekend membership. We've set up the prices so that if you want to purchase two days, you might as well purchase Full Weekend memberships as it is cheaper than buying two single days.

We found it- It is either at con ops or lost and found.

I will also send you an email.

Thanks!

You may use your iPhone but please turn up the brightness all the way. You will also need your valid photo ID.

Come on Sunday night right before close. If we have any more available, we will attempt to accommodate you. However, this is based on our discretion.

Oh. Is it possible now to switch from CA pick up to Fanime instead if this is going to be an issue?
Yes. You do not have to request it- essentially we ask this of everyone so that we can get a gauge of where to allocate our resources (such as in this instance). You may pick up at either location regardless of what you chose during registration but I do strongly suggest to pick up at FanimeCon if you are not attending CA at all.

I will be impressed if all goes as planned. It sounds like you guys have worked hard to improve your process.

Thank you!

One question comes to mind. With the fancy printers and all of the computers how much power will this system use?
Why? o.o

If you are worried that we might blow a fuse, we've thought of that and have requested appropriate scaled power.
