I'm going to try my best and find an unused socket and table to set up some laptops to play MBFT/EFZ/whatever else. I only have one laptop, so if anyone else cares to join the fun, please bring your own laptop with controllers.
I did this last year, and no one seemed to know what the hell I was playing, but a number of people were interested :P. It seems that these two games have gotten much more popular since, so hopefully more people will come this year :D.

i'll be there. i have yet to play mb, but i have ordered it from himeya. it's probably at my buddy's place cuz i used his account and they shipped it there

Oh, just wanted to toss out that, aside from having the latest versions of the top two listed games, I also have Touhou Suimusou: Immaterial and Missing Power. I know it's nowhere near as polished as Tasofro's other effort, EFZ, but it's kinda a fun diversion at times. I will readily admit that I'm not as good at it as EFZ or ReACT though.

That means that the combo is not "valid;" it is not a true combo. At some point in that sequence, the opponent can tech out of it. Timing in Melty Blood is known to be unusually strict, so being just the tiniest bit off can make an otherwise valid combo invalid.

I can't really recall too well, but I believe that is the case. Fortunately, matches aren't timed, so just agree with your opponent to back off and go do what you have to do.

Yah, heard about it. I'll probably pick it up. I've wanted to OTG with Satsuki's B since I saw it in AC videos~. XD
Final Tuned is basically ReACT tweaked to be very Act Cadenza-esque. It lacks some of the new system features and character tweaks from AC, but for most intents and purposes, it's AC for PC.
If you haven't heard by now (Tsubasa knows this already), there'll be a PS2 port of "Act Cadenza". Whether or not it has an online feature, I don't know.
Would I get the game personally? No. Even if it has an online feature, it's useless, seeing that you have to be in Japan most likely.

I'll need a little warm-up time, but I doubt my MB is entirely too rusty. EFZ, on the other hand, it's been a while. Just loaded it up the last day or so and tried to dust off them skills a bit. I'll be playing primarily EX Nayuki, but I can still throw around a Misuzu and Nayuki. Misuzu was nerfed so bad in Memorial. ; ; As for Touhou, it's currently not installed on my laptop cause I needed the space. I suppose I can reinstall it in time for the con though.

I have a couple friends who play MBFT and will hopefully bring their laptops. I'll bring my adapter, and if you bring a ps2 controller, feel free to use my adapter. There are sockets in the concourse and no artrow tables there, hopefully staff wont mind us mooching space over there.
Anyone who wants to play, bring your laptop. It's alright if you don't have MBFT on it, I'll have a couple copies to spare.

Well, this seems to have been a total failure this year, regrettably...
I only ever saw 2 people playing Melty Blood all weekend, and when I went up with a friend and tried to get in on some games, they just said they were new to the game and weren't interested.
Ah well. Next year, we just gotta set a prime location to get some laptops out and rollin.

maybe E-Gaming can pull some strings and get Act Cadenza by next year. i remember a thread was started that was gauging interest in doujin fighters...maybe things could happen for fans of that genre in 2007?

Ver. B is pretty new. I don't have much info on it yet. All I know is that Neko Arc and white Ren are now playable. And it's probably a relatively safe bet that Sion's and Red Arc's infinites are now gone.

Neko Arc is playable on the PS2 Act Cadenza. I meant it's a first for the arcade.
For that matter, who knows if they'll release a AC ver. B for PS2. Doesn't seem worth the effort if you ask me. The tweaks are probably similar if not identical to the "original" option in PS2 AC anyway.
