A shoutout to all the lovely young ladies I danced with at the Black & White Ball. This event was my favorite Fanime activity and I had an awesome time!

I ended up asking a Mai cosplayer from Avatar the Last Airbender to dance towards the end of the evening. When I asked you to dance you mentioned that you would be smiling except that you were keeping in character with Mai (I found that quite cute). During our conversation I had mentioned that Avatar was my favorite non-anime animated show (I should clarify to say that I love Avatar and it's one of my favorite shows of all time if not my favorite). I was the one dressed in a navy sport coat, white dress shirt, and a blue and grey striped tie.

I was enjoying myself so much at the dance it totally slipped my mind to ask you for your phone number until after the Ball was over and most everyone had left. Please message me if you happen to see this and I'd be very happy to take you out for coffee/tea or dinner sometime.

Overall I had an awesome time at Fanime! My favorite things by far were the Zelda Murder Mystery Panel and the Black & White Ball. One thing that I was really looking forward to was speed dating, but I didn't end up making it into the sessions.

One suggestion that I had to improve speed dating was to institute pre-registration, and also do things that might encourage more gals to come out. I tried attending three out of the four heterosexual speed dating sessions, but was turned away every time due to an overabundance of guys vs girls. One of the sessions I showed up a half hour early, but still wasn't even close to getting in (I'm just grateful that one of the staff members mentioned that someone twenty guys ahead of me was the cutoff point so I had the opportunity to leave early for a different activity).

Pre-registration would be nice so that people who are interested in attending could sign up ahead of time and know what session(s) they would be able to attend without having to wait or miss other events on the chance that they could make a session. Maybe the event could charge guys a few dollars and that money could be used to provide refreshments for both guys and gals who attend the event. Free drinks or desserts might possibly do a bit more to encourage interested ladies to attend and also get their single friends to come too. Just a suggestion.
