I sent an email a while ago about my friend not being sure if she can make it, and how i put her on my table anyway just in case. Right now i'm on step 6, but as she only just sent off for her seller's permit, should i just put HELPER or something and change it later? What step will picking my table location appear? I want to pick my table location ASAP.

As the main table person (or whatever), i'm all good to go with my own permit. I was told to email later when it's for sure she can make it (It's still not 100% sure), and i really don't want to have to wait for her info to update the acct to pick my table location.

Also, i want to clarify, is art from our own studio ok, some of which is from a couple friends who are not behind my table (too crowded)? Are me and my friend allowed to have art from our other friends who are in the same studio? I think so, right? *lack of sleep*

How will we be notified? Some have said to keep checking this topic, others have mentioned the AA mailing list. (And every year i'm always paranoid my email may have been dropped off that list...)

I really REALLY think we should have the two- (or even one-) week notice as planned. Some of us have lives, jobs, and/or unreliable internet connections, and can't get on every day to check. 3 days is just too short. 1 day is ridiculous and insensitive. A week, even 5 days' notice would be perfect, and what's it gonna kill? I think i remember last year it went online with a too short notice, and loads of people were rabidly mad. *shudder*

World fusion, techno-tribal, Steampunk.

Examples, Beats Antique, SORIAH, Vernian Process, Abney Park.

YES PLEASE.
And if it counts for anything, all five of my roomies at the con will concur.

(I feel silly for asking this but...)

Where do we find the "registration #" required to sign up for AA when the time comes? Someone said it would be on PayPal invoice, but i don't have one since i paid in person at last year's con for me and my sister. I have the receipt, with our "Member IDs #: F1#####etc."
Is this the same number?

"Seller's permit number" is the same as the "account number" on the permit, right?

ALSO, where exactly on the site will we access AA registration once it's open? (site's navigation is a little confusing/requires extra clicking)

Perverts beware, you DO NOT KNOW how many KARATE-KICKING, BALL-BUSTING females/minors there are, roaming the hallways in disguise. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.

That said, i think con goers generally try to look out for each other, being such a fun bunch. Just stick with the crowds and make sure you're not alone in the bathrooms.

I know alot of people are willing to stop by and would like to be with yourassistance but then again you better watch out for the people incharge..hopefully they wont know. Reason i brought this up because i was'nt so sure if bringing a guest will qualify for..yua know what.....i hope someone stops by at your table because i doubt they would double check the listings on each sellers permits..al they do is check and give you a table and thats it..if you get caught, tell them they are helping out with business!

Im going to offer some free stuff too, since i know alot of broke people cannot afford things but then again..im kinda worried that people will stop by and just grab candy and not look or be interested on the artwork!..its not a bad thing its just i hate greedy people!!!!!!!!!!!!

***  My sister is going to offer some [pocky] THAT IS IF THE GOOD FLAVORS COME BACK T_T! i want mango and honey milk pokcy T_T!!!!!!! this old pokcy is starting to piss me off T_T!!!!!!!!!

aside from this,...is anyone having a problem with the artist alley!?????????

Ah, i see. Well, i sort of directed that at people who had their permits and all, and tried to register with fanime but couldn't. I saw the messages of people who registered but didn't get a table, and i felt bad.

Well if customers only grab the candy, I'LL EAT IT ALL MYSELF! ><
(Mango pocky is awesome!)

(Dunno if this is the right topic to post in, but...)
I have a table, but none of the people i'm going with are artists. D: Anyone want some last-minute table space? There'll be plenty, since i'm only selling print-like things. Free candy! And obviously we can watch each other's stuff if one of us needs to go to an event... or if they just need to "go". ^^

To anyone organizing a KH cosplay chess game, i'm interested! Me and my sister are Namine and Kairi. I don't mind being a pawn, since two hours away from my art table sounds iffy... ^^; And... Namine WAS kinda a pawn... LOL SYMBOLISM

Me and my sister are going as dress!Namine and Kairi.. We'll definitely be in costume Saturday, possibly Sunday and Monday too.
She's also going to be Rukia for at least one day, while i will be cosplaying... myself, lol.

My sister and i are going as dress!Kairi & Namine. My sister will definitely want to make it. I have an art table to man, but i'll see if i can sneak away... <__< >__>

You don't need a ladder or whatever for cosplay chess. Just bring the small game board outside and have leaders move the pieces corresponding to the live people on the large board.
You might not even need a board, just some 2' black square things for people to stand on (white color can just be the ground).

I second ramy's question, how is the seating going to work if not everyone is assigned before the con? I sure as hell don't want to be seated in some dark corner while a last-minute registerer gets a prime spot. (no matter how much i like the dark, lol vampire)
It can't be that hard, can it? I could do it, during college finals even. But i think it's really miscommunication that's the problem, huh?

Forms of identification we do not accept are social security cards (no photo or identifying information), birth certificates (no photo), school ID (despite being from a public school, it still is not government issue, there is no identifying information on the ID, and no format that is consistent state-wide), library card (....not a friggen ID), and many other possibilities (credit card, insurance card, barnes and noble card, blood donor card, CA$H).

lol at the "library card" and "CA$H" parts!

Why is there "no identifying information" on school IDs? It certainly has a real name and photo, at least. If those school photos are good and important enough to put on "missing child" posters, surely they can get one into a con.

Question on dress length! My sister's cosplay is a short dress, but it also has another piece of floor-length fabric covering the sides and back. Is it ok?

Also, am i right in that nice women's boots count as high heels?

Will a photocopy of the passport work? (We don't want to risk losing the real one, lol.)

You got to understand that most people want listens to mainstream music and it may vary.  Sounds like a good choice of artist from newgrounds audio portal but my main concern is will most people like it or recognize it?  I'm not here to debate here or anything.  Just letting u know.

I think it sounds cool to have to different room for different genres if possible and looking forward to it.

A lot of people don't care whether they recognize a song or not, just as long as it's GOOD. Then they can say, "What was that really great song that just played?" instead of, "I'm tired of hearing the same crappy music!"
