With the new game coming out on X-Box 360, I figured it's finally time for me to stop being lazy and cosplay Kasumi. ^.^ I'd love to have some picture buddies, is anyone planning any Dead or Alive cosplay?

i was considering it for fanime, but my cosplays are set for fanime, so i might for ax now, if someone mentioned a possible gathering i probably would've planned a DOA cosplay for fanime =(, but oh well things might change and who knows i may make one. gl meli~

Are you sure about this? Not that I mind, but aren't DOA clothing rather revealing? I can't help but think the cosplayers would be embarrassed, unless they feel the need to showplace their body...like in DOA. If so, uh, I guess I'll get out the camera and take a shot worthy of the talent of the cosplayer. Look out... I guess?
On DOA Female Cosplays:
Do not run or jump up and down too often. Don't need fanboys lining the floors with nosebleeds in the path of the, ahem, "bubbly" Kasumi or Ayane.
Also, make sure you are in a secure, upright position as you play DDR. No, I'm not talking about your back.

oh please =P there are costumes that are WAY skimpier than the ones in dead or alive, for example the infamous tira and chocolat misu at fanime 2004, now that crosses the line of skimpyness, and gives cosplayers who do somewhat revealing costumes a bad name IMO

First I must say that skimpy costume (shown in the link) is the farthest thing I've seen from "tasteful" in quite a while. Nessa, I commend you for you efforts in making an Ayane costume. If you pull this off I wil forever see cosplayers in a brighter and higher light. Go fashion!
They certainly are on the revealing side, but if you've ever seen me cosplay before you'll notice that really doesn't bother me, lol. DOA girls aren't for the shy or those with shame, that's for sure. Hitomi isn't that revealing, right? Some of them have clothes on, lol. I'll be doing Kasumi's blue version, I'll really try to keep it blue, but I always end up making an alternate color. We'll see. Nessa, you'd make a cute Ayane. ^_^ I'm the same height and have the same measurements as Kasumi, so the cosplay should look good. ^_^
er...what about DOA guys? Anyone ever thought of them?

With all the "creativity" the producers spent on the females, theres not much room to follow up with a decent male costume? For shame DOA! For shame! Gee, makes you think that DOA is all about the girls...wait, it is. Good luck pulling a Hayabus, unless you ultra funkify it with Ninja Gaiden.

I'll be joining in on taking pics, but also on the subject on the DOA Females costumes, lets also not forget about alternative outfits....which most of them aren't as revealing as most of their outfits! ^^ I don't mind the skimpy outfits, but as long as they're well made as well! ^^
I'd cosplay as a DOA character, maybe Ein as a ninja, but i'm already set for Vergil from DMC3 and possibly Shin Akuma from Street Fighter for Fanime. Dunno if i'll have my moogle hat on for them, but for 07', I might consider bieng a couple ninjas....i'm setting myself up to be Edge for Final Fantasy IV for 07' sooooo...maybe i'll be Ein for 07'! ^^

If I cosplay Jann Lee again at Fanimecon, it might be a different one than the one I've worn this year, but I'll see what costumes he wears in DOA4 and see if I'll make a new one or just stick to my costume #1 version.
I'll make the thread on cosplay.com for it when Fanimecon draws closer, since there's still lots of time to plan the gathering, but I'll probably be in the one at Fanimecon 2006. :)

Moogleborg: Thanks for liking the pictures! It's tough when you cosplay & organize gatherings, as you are committed to doing that and you miss cosplayers if you're trying to get their picture. (For the DOA gathering at AX, I missed 3 other different gatherings ah the same time..) :oops: But for Fanimecon next year I probably won't cosplay save for DOA, so that'll let me concentrate on taking more pictures during the weekend. :)

Did you ever wear your DOAX Kasumi to Fanime 2005? So back onto topic about DOA cosplay: It looks like we have a decent group so far: 4-5 girls & 1 guy. 8) There's lots of time until Fanime 2006, and I'll ask my other cosplayer friends to see if they want to join in for the DOA gathering if they plan to attend Fanime. I know 2 girls who have cosplayed Kasumi but only at AX, but they live here in No.CA. :)

Too bad we don't own japanese gym uniforms, Hitomi and Kasumi are my favorites and that's what I like to dress them in when I play. ^^ It would be adorable pictures!

I've told Imari-chan and a few others that I'll be dropping out of the DOA gathering this year, so no Jann Lee for me (or any other costumes that weekend) at Fanime. But I'll be around all weekend taking pictures, so when you all get-together I'll besure to get pics of your gathering! :)

The earlier you have it on Friday, the better. :) I'll be there in the morning taking pictures, until around 5pm (if not earlier) and then I'll be selling my stuff at the Swap Meet from 6pm to 10pm-11pm. So if you have it at 1:00pm, I'll find your gathering and take pictures.

Pisht. She is because she's my driven to succede, not to mention she's more hardcore, AND her storyline was better. Poor Ayane got the short end of the stick...even though her mom was the leader's wife. I can't blame her for taking great pleasure in wanting to kill Kasume with what they showed of her story...the poor girl... :cry: :cry:

Mmmh, but you'll also notice that Kasumi never tried to help Ayane as she grew up. I mean sure they played together when they were younger, but that was about it. I don't even think Kasumi associated with Ayane after she grew up...
I think the only person who can answer that is the creatore, or we wait for 'Code Chronoes'(I think that's the title) to come out. But you con't say she's been living in lugshury(sp?) why she's had to doudge assassins everyday.
