I'm about to go away to college and I have a ton of manga I need to sell. I would really prefer to sell the entire sets that I have, but if you so desire, I will sell you the last book that I have in the series, or the last couple. For instance:

I have Get Backers 1-21, I will sell you vol. 21. I will also sell you vol. 19, 20, and 21. However, I will NOT sell you only vol. 1 or only vol. 16.

I'm selling individual manga for $7, unless otherwise noted. I'm willing to haggle! If you want pictures, I can also provide those. Also, the books are in excellent condition, and I mean supreme! I take extremely good care of my books, and there aren't even any creases in the binding. You will not find used books in better condition.

I don't know about shipping costs, but I can get back to you on that. I live in Oakland, but I'm not willing to travel very far, considering I don't have a car nor insurance :P. I'll go as far as Berkeley, San Leandro, and maybe San Francisco.

Please take this manga from me ;___;.

I'm selling:
Get Backers 1-25 -- $150 (my volume 14 was printed slightly strange with a yellow tinge, but it's otherwise in great condition)
Fullmetal Alchemist 1-21 -- $126
Legal Drug 1-3 -- $18 (I'm willing to sell these individually)
Ouran High School Host Club 1-6 -- $30 ($6 each)
Saiyuki 1-9 -- $54
Saiyuki Reload 1-9 -- $54
Bus Gamer -- $7
D.Gray-Man 1-15 -- $75 ($5 each)
Samurai Deeper Kyo 1-3 -- $18 (I'm willing to sell these individually)
Wild Adapter 1-6 -- $36
Trigun Maximum 1-14 -- $84
Death Note 1-12 -- $60 ($5 each)
Death Note 13 (How to Read) -- $10
Death Note: Another Note -- $12
Fruits Basket 1-21 -- $126
Zatch Bell 1 -- Free

Random Assorted Yaoi (no really, take these away from me):
Ai no Kusabi 2-4 -- $10 ($4 each)
Manic Love -- $6
Hot Limit -- $6
Love Share -- $6

As for the bigger, "showy" JPop names, that takes us a lot of time (years!) to build a relationship with their label and a LOT of money. But we're working on it.

We do hear your voice for (or against) them but please understand that MF is doing all they can to make some of your wishes come true.

So THAT'S how it works. I was always wondering how MF was able to get such huge artists.  I know it's not a simple matter of going door-to-door asking companies.

This is pretty impossible, but I really do want to see T.M.Revolution/Abingdon Boys School ;____;.  I'm an absolutely huge fan, and would go bonkers if he came.  Then again, if he did come, I would probably wait in line all day just to be first.  Nevertheless, that would be amazing.  And of course, I wouldn't mind seeing FLOW again.

When I was in the dealer's hall, this guy, who seemed really tall (although, I'm super short, so maybe not) passed me a paper.  I was so curt with him because I thought he was just another person handing out flyers, so when he said "excuse me," all I said was, "what?"  I feel so mean, because when I opened the paper, it said, "Has anyone told you today?  You look beautiful."  He took off so fast, I have no clue what he looks like.  Mysterious man!  If you're reading this, I was the girl with brown hair in a ponytail, a blue jellyfish shirt, and black jeans!  Thank you so much, because that really brightened my day.  I don't hear that too often, and I'm sorry for being so rude.

Also, there was a Decus from Tales of Symphonia: KOR cosplayer who I was amazed with.  I wish we could have chatted, but he was having a photoshoot.  Decus is one of my favorite characters, and I thought you looked just like him :3.

My requests for panels for next year: More Vocaloid (I missed the Vocaloid: The Fan Phenomenon panel because I was waiting in line with my friend for registration... perhaps have it later in the evening next year?), Japanese-language panel (maybe basic Japanese in anime or just Japanese culture in anime), and more video game-related panels.

All in all, great panel selection this year.  :)

Oh that's wonderful!  There IS interest.  I'm pleased to let you know that I've been planning a Japanese-language panel for nearly two years now, but I've been wavering on my decision to do it because I fear a lack of interest.  Feel free to message me any time if you have specific requests or suggestions!

Although I think the lack of schedules took a toll on the out-come of my panel, I was also competing with a line for the Yoshiki signing (haha, there goes half my audience XD!) and a popular Hetalia panel.  That, and I've been doing to same panel for three years now, so it's about time I move on!  I thought the Panels department was awesome.  They were super sweet to me, and the people in front of my room were really helpful and kind.  The scheduling of the panels went over well, at least for me, and I love the semi-first come first serve technique of scheduling.  I love working with this department, and I can't wait for next year.

This negativity is just killing me. I was just telling my friend how I can't imagine what kind of work goes into making a convention successful. I can't even BEGIN to imagine. Was I upset that there were no printed schedules? Sure. Did I think it had an impact on the turnout to my panel? Perhaps, since I dropped from a completely full house to about thirty. However, I really don't think Fanime was as horrible as some of you are making it out to be. I have never been on staff so I don't know all of the details, but I saw rovers getting pissed off when attendees were doing and saying some pretty egregious things, so the attendees aren't completely innocent. I would seriously flip out if I had to deal with a thousand screaming fans.

To address the maid cafe, I think it looked great and I wish I could have gotten a chance to sit at it. The maids looked cute, I saw plenty of smiles and laughter, and some seriously happy guests. I'm really inspired to be a maid now.

This year was not THE best, but really for my own personal reasons. I did think the crowd was a little lack-luster compared to previous years, but sometimes that just happens. I was sad that my panel died, but that's fine. I loved seeing FLOW again. I LOVED meeting Yoshiki. The artist alley was brilliant, and, once again, I met some great people.  I can't wait for next year, and I hope all of the people screaming about how horrible it was will just run off and make their own convention.

I stayed at the Fairmont with three other friends this year and it was just amazing.  I think I might even prefer it over the Marriott!  The total bill came out to be $310!  So that's $78 per person for the whole weekend (three nights, $26 per night).  By far an amazing deal, and I highly recommend it.

What size room was it? And did you stay from Friday to Monday? Does it make a difference (as opposed to Thurs --> Sun)? It sounds like a really great deal though, that's amazing! I'm definitely going to the Fairmont next year, if I'm getting a hotel room. :)

It was a spacious room, that's all I know XD!  It had two full beds, but I could have sworn they were going to be queens.  I guess that was the only downfall.  Not that big of a deal, because you can still fit two people on them just fine.  We stayed Friday night to Monday morning, so three nights.  And I totally agree with FanFicGuru!  The elevators were awesome!  That might have been because I was on the 18th floor, but I had no trouble whatsoever.  Honestly, with the *elevators at the Marriott, it was faster to just walk to the Fairmont.

Edit: And by spacious, I mean with four people, we still had enough room to roll around on the floor laughing.  The bathroom was huge, and had a shower stall and bath tub.  The toilet had its own door, so you could brush your teeth while someone was in there.  The room had an awesome vanity, which made putting on makeup super easy, and the closet fit all of our coats and cosplays with room to spare.  Not to mention, the hotel itself actually looked pretty.  AND, although I'm not the biggest fan of Yuya Matsushita, we saw him and his crew chilling at the restaurant there.  It was a nice experience.

HAHAHA. Love that part. But yeah the bathroom was gigantic! The separate door for the toilet was a great idea for maximum efficiency. :)

*Elevators!!  Ahaha, my Freudian slips.  It seriously helped having that with four girls in one room.  I think I will actually book at the Fairmont next year in preference over the Marriott.

I was a Team Aqua member, and my friend was a Team Magma member.  I have medium-ish brown hair with light skin, and she has long, dark brown hair and tan skin.  We both are around the same height and have the same body type.  I carried around a Psyduck, she carried a Happinny, and we both carried Pokeballs.  I didn't bring my camera this year, so I would really love to see some pictures!  If anyone could even point me to a gallery that might have some pictures, that would be wonderful.

Oh, and I was also Yako Katsuragi from Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro, who many might not know, so here is a reference.

@KuroNek0
Wow!  It's been almost two years?  More?  I can't even remember!  I really hope you'll all be able to make it too!  I try to improve every year, so you'll get to see it at it's best!

Haha I hope to see you too :"D
Man, I wish I got a hold of your contact information that time.
Hopefully I'll somehow recognize you LOL.

Oh haha!  I'll be wearing a Pokemon Team Aqua uniform on Saturday, and while I'm giving a panel, so maybe you'll recognize me!  Come to the panel ;D!

Yes, I cover a bit on fashion :3.

@HanaOkashii
It'll be at 12:00 PM on Saturday!

:OOOO.  Your memory is astounding.  That was, in fact, me.  Will you be joining us this year?
#14
Haha, at the last minute I decided that I would indeed be a Team Aqua grunt this year.  I will only be making it for about the first 30 minutes though because I'm running a panel at 12PM ;___;!  Nevertheless, I'm excited!  Big Pokemon dork right here!

For a third year in a row, I will be running the Visual Kei panel again >w<!  I was so amazed at the turnout last year, I just hope I can do it again this year!  As usual, I will try to bring new information and raffle prizes this year, so I hope you guys enjoy!  Whether you're a new or old fan, this panel will have something for you!

When will it be?  12PM on Saturday!

BREAKING NEWS: Yoshiki will be a special guest this year!  Come to the panel to learn a little about him!

Oh my goodness!  I was in such desperate need of something like this last year!  My stockings ripped pretty badly and my shoes were absolutely killing me!  I wished so badly that there was a place I could have gone to fix my blisters and stockings, because walking all the way to Walgreens with burning feet suuuuucked.  I might be able to donate some items, but let me get back to you on that later :3.

Random question, if it was a cosplayer-exclusive room, would I be able to bring my friend, who is not a cosplayer?
#17
I will be attending again as Yako Katsuragi from Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro : D!
#18
Saw a Neuro (well, actually Geuro), Godai and Sai from Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro!  I felt so alone in my cosplay because I hadn't seen anybody else from the series, but we were able to complete all of the characters!

It's not Fanime's fault that people cosplayed the way they did :/.  There were probably many lolitas because of that event in the Fairmont.  B&W Ball isn't energetic for a reason.  Energetic music is for the rave.  You definitely have the right to your opinion, but I don't see the point of this thread.  None of these are things the Fanime staff can necessarily change.

EDIT: My bad, read the post wrong :3.

Even though no one actually posts in this thread, I just want to thank everyone who came to the panel!  On the panelist form, I put my expected occupancy to be 30-50 people.  I counted 90 raffle tickets, and there was an estimated 100-110 turn-out rate!  You guys really made this panel awesome, despite the fact that I forgot to publish my montage and plug the freakin' speakers in all the way -___-;.  This panel can only get better, and I really look forward to your attendance next year.  Maybe next year I'll have even better presents : D!
