Hi guys, I work at a Barnes & Noble and they are having a national event in every store across the country. There will be multiple events throughout July and August, but one day will be a Cosplay Day. I was wondering if there were any local cosplayers that would want to participate. We are encouraged to have storytimes, photo ops, or panel discussions in store. I thought it would be cool to do something with Sailor Moon in light of all the recent announcements and excitement, but I'm open to anything.
That sounds awesome! Depending on the day and time and stuff, I'd be so in to cosplay something(Sailor Venus or Sailor Luna was on my list, too. hehe).
I'd be down to be Tuxedo Mask, but depends on the day.
I can do Mercury! just need a date!

I would, I just don't know of other Cosplayers that would go to the SR B&N, and how much a fish out of water I would be there. I'll ask them their what their demographic is like, and pray that they have a decent manga pull there. #distanceproblems.
which barnes& noble will this Sailor Moon gathering be at?
I'm in Sac, and I haven't been able to find anything in my area bout it. :(

If we're talking about the same SR, then that's the closest one to me, and I'd totally go if they hold the Cosplay Day there. Manga selection there is pretty decent.
Depending on the date/location I have a generic black cat costume that could be Luna with the right makeup. (Although if I mention that B&N is doing something like this to my AoT group there is a good chance the survey squad might make an appearance)

Well, I don't know about a specifically "cosplay day" event but the B&N at Eastridge has a number of themed costume events going on through July and August. July 23rd is Batman day, the 26th is general DC Comics, Aug. 2nd is Marvel Comics, and the 9th is Doctor Who.
The closest thing to a general theme day is probably the Comic Convention and Collectibles Weekend on July 24th to the 27th but it doesn't specifically mention anything about costumes.
