Natsume Yuujincho (only available in Japanese >:D)

Run by Hana to Yume, a shoujo-manga magazine.

Main character male, Support character cat ayakashi (male), and there is no hint of a love-life at all. More run by the shounen jump manga aspects of "friendship, determination, victory".

Story is about returning "names" of ayakashi(Asian ghouls).

Dolls (possibly only available in Japanese)

Run by Zero-sum (loveless, Amatsuki).

Main characters all-male.  Support characters all mostly male, only 3 sub-main female characters in story.

Story is about executioners. Absolutely no feel of shoujo manga in it.

I found them the other day at the store and thought some of you might be interested in them :X

...is now to be an anime XD

I picked the comic for this series a while ago because the little frankenstien maid in this series VAGUELY reminded me of Yotsuba and Chiyo.

It`s not like any Azumanga comic so if you were expecting comedy you pretty much don`t get any. It`s really more of a fighting-focused comic but occasionally it has an interesting read here and there.

I`m really curious as to when it`s going to be released exactly :X

Hm.

So what brand of clothing will I be whoring out past new-years?

Quote from: "hellangel"What I'm curious to know is: What exactly do you think cosplay is? Does it include Loli styles (EGL, Gothic, Sweet, ect.) and Visual Kei? Does it only include outfits from anime/manga/sci-fi, or are live movies included also?

I disagree that cosplays include Lolita styles as people do wear them as an everyday fashion. Even though a good chunk of Gothic lolita has come from cosplays of Malice Mizer originally, the fact that there are stores and people dressed in Lolita makes it feel like it`s not cosplay. This idea is similar to the idea of the "punk" style and how some wear it normally as an everday wear.

V-kei is not exactly a look; it refers to a type of music style. If you`re regarding V-kei cosplays, yes it is a cosplay because you`re dressed like the band member of whatever you like.

Cosplay in general means "Costume Play", so it`s not limited to the things you have listed. If you look up Cosplay in Japanese, you can possibly get general "costumes" -like polices, maids, etc. In short terms, I believe that cosplay is just dressing up in general as something you aren`t.

I believe that "cosplay" is a form of interacting with people who also share the same love as you. Since some people don`t sew their cosplays and buy one instead, I can`t say that it`s to show off your skills.

It may be very lovely if you posted reference images :x

(Not a fan of naruto so hasn`t read much but still has the knowledge regarding cosplays)
#33
Well you know, you could still cosplay from Kill Bill.

People have done it may times.

I`ve seen Harry Potter Cosplayers at Fanime. Anything goes at fanime.

It`s in many colors and I think there is one the right color for yours ^^;
#37
I dunno. Is it not possible to do the character more recognizable? :X

I personally think the fun of cosplay is the makeup part :X
It should be okay as long as you`re actually not showing off your real skin;
however you have to tell yourself little kids will be around in the con too and if you think that your cosplay has even the slightest possibility of being some bad influence to the child, then I suggest you don`t do it.

I watched it. Read the comics. And I love Papillion.

His little theme song just cracks me up XD
 Captain Bravo`s hilarious too.
Captain  Bravo + Papillion x Hamburger store = Massive fun :3

Didn`t know it was the kenshin person drawing that though. :X

so basically you have to buy it online and you don`t get to check the quality till you get the wig? :X

Oh I know of katiebair but she`s more of the wig stylist that you pay so much for and wait a long while :3

So I wanted to know where most American Cosplayers end up buying their wig and how nice their quality is :X

I`ve mostly bought my wigs off Cyperous or Maple, both of which are famous wig companies when it comes to cosplays.
Maple`s wigs are priced at 4800yen flat for any length wigs (synthetic) and only an additional 1000yen (I think) for the stylable wigs that they have. All wigs that they sell have the fake skin on the top part of the wig so they`re actually pretty good.
Cyperous wigs are very famous but is a bit more expensive, well structured, and have a wider variety when it comes to styled wigs.

What about american wigs? I`ve never really seen any nice cosplay wigs (like halloween wigs are so crappy @_@) in america so I`m curious as to where you guys get your wigs :X

I know online there are fancy people that do the styling for a high cost, but if you wanted a wig only how much do you usually pay and where do you get it?
