Ok so basically my friend would have to buy a con ticket and table ticket?  Also in the agreement would he say "I'll be at my table for such and such time but be away for this gathering or this event, etc?"

My friend is interested in getting into a comic career with his art and I have told him from what I saw at Fanime last year it would be wise for him to go.  Is there anything different about having an artist ally booth such as do you have to buy a special ticket or purchase a spot in artist ally after buying the con ticket?  Also are there any special rules?  I know I saw some artists leave their booth for gatherings and what not but does an artist have to stay in their booth for so much time?

Is there going to be another tournament for pokemon b/w at fanime 2012?

Ok so I don't have to worry about other people booking rooms and taking up spots?  Last year U got my room around the end of January but you never know if things will change so I just don't want say some non con goers to book rooms at the fairmont and then when the con rates come into place there be less rooms and I some how miss my chance.

So should I get my room now or wait?  If I book the room now will I get the con price or will I have to pay the price the site says now?

Did prices go up from last time?  Back in January I reserved my room at the fairmont and it was around $89 a night.  Just now I tried to reserve a room there again but the lowest price is $199 a night.  Does it have something to do with tickets not being on sale yet?

The entire con is like a huge meet and greet though. Go to a panel, go to a gathering and just talk to people. Things might go well and you'll make a new friend. Fanime is a lot of things but it can't do all the work for you. Social interaction is uP to you.

Fair enough.  I did meet some new people from gatherings and the game room so I was interacting with others, but like I mentioned it wasn't really a big deal.  Just my little 2 cents lol.

There really wasn't anything major that annoyed me.  I didn't like the protesters and I don't care about free speech, I want them gone because they are annoying.  This was my first fanime and I loved it.  I didn't find any rude people and didn't have any problems with rovers.

The only thing I had a problem with and its really nothing is that I was alone because I was single and the few friends I have that like anime couldn't go or couldn't afford it.  Between  walking around the vendor room, art hall, gatherings, video rooms, game room, and panels I usually found something to do but there would be times I would have 2 to 3 hours to kill and kind of just idled in the vendor or artists rooms.  Maybe fanime could have something for people there alone such as having some sort of meet and greet on the first day for everyone there alone or even people there with 1 other person and find others with similar interests and make a con friend so to speak.  I don't know if its even really common that people come to a con alone but that would be my only complaint which isn't even that big a deal.

Hi Everyone ~ I was Sailor Venus, as well as Tsunade from Naruto, and Mimi the Wonder Baker from Tales of Legendia. I was also Temari from Naurto for one hour. Ahahahaha ~ I have sakura flowers on my right shoulder so I'm easy to recognize ~ ! If you have any photos of my I'd greatly appreciate them ! Loved the turn out for the valve gathering and everyone had amazing costumes.  If you were in the gathering and didn't get any pics of you on your camera there is a good chance I have some pics of you since I took a close to 200 pics at the gathering.  Let me know if you want any. 

I'd love some of the L4D and L4D2 sections, my friends weren't able to take that many/good quality pictures.

This years One Piece gathering was great, I had an amazing time taking pictures and seeing everyones costumes.  I look forward to next years gathering.  I was one of the male Luffy's. 

This was a great gathering.  Can't wait for next years.  I was the green lantern.
