Oh man oh man oh man...

If you're legit, then yes please. Here's a list:

Dreamcast (the system and following games):
SoulCalibur
Crazy Taxi
Chu Chu Rocket
Cannon Spike
Power Stone 1 & 2
Marvel Vs. Capcom 2

Super Nintendo (the system and following games):
CHRONO TRIGGER
Final Fantasy 3
Secret of Mana
Secret of Evermore
Super Mario World
Mega Man X-X3

I understand a lot of those are very rare...but I'd be willing to take a look through your prices and stuff. I'd definitely be interested in a Dreamcast.

Rawk on old-school gaming. Rawk on.

Sweet! This may sound obvious, but I would reccomend bringing games that you cant get domestically. You would be suprised how many times Ive seen import game booths at cons and 90% of their stock are the japanese versions of FFX, Gekitou Ninja Taisen, Metal Gear, and other games that have popular domestic releases, or will soon. The only time I want to see an import of a domestic game at a con is when there is something hideously wrong with the domestic version (such as the translation or voice acting) or when there is something out and out missing (such as the alteranate text in .hack, or the optional grid in FFX International.)

Other than that, you should be good. I would reccomend bringing along anything anime, or with anime style graphics. Also, especially for your older systems, games in popular series' that never made it to america. Like the older Gyakuten Saiban games, and stuff like Seiken Densetsu 3.

Of course, this is just my opinion XD

The only import I'm looking for is:
F-Zero Climax (GBA)

Can you bring that in this year?

But I second
Power Stone 1 & 2
Marvel Vs. Capcom 2

Drools... :D

Were you at Anime Expo last year?  I may have bought some stuff from you.  Either way, I'm looking for "Mezase Sen-Kyu" for the Playstation.

Imports?

DJMax 1 and 2 (otherwise I'll just buy it online in 3 weeks).
Honestly... that's really about it.

EDIT: That new Higurashi game for the PS2. I'll buy that if it has voices in it (I can't read Japanese texts).\

EDIT again: Apparently Higurashi has voice acting in it. I'm going to buy this no matter what.
Title: Good I see there is interest on retro games too

We have most of the stuff ou guys are looking for.
The Fzero I think we are out and it's impossible to get it and marvel vs capcom 1 and 2 for dcast are going very fast at the store every time we get them in so I don't know if we would get some for the show.
The new import don't worry we are getting them. Dj max 1 is in stock 2 will arrive before the show not problem.
About Anime Expo not we didn't do any west coast show last year, this is our fist west coast trip. It's pretty expensive to get the merchandise there and flying so we decided to try Fanime as our test show for this year. We normally do all the East Coast ones, as Otakon, Anime Next, Katsucon, Anime USA, Anime Central, etc.
On the retro stuff I will bring systems only by request because the take to much space. Dreamcast we sell at 49.99 complete with 1 controller.
Thank you with all your suggestions, I'll try to answer to everone of them

giulio

Can you guys get Bust a Move 1 & 2 for PSX?  The dancing games known as "Bust a Groove" in the US.  If you can, you have a guaranteed customer.

I'm not sure what to get. I can't read Japanese, so it'd pretty much have to be a fighting game....but I already own Naruto 3 & 4.

Anyone know any other good import games I can get for my Gamecube?^^;
Title: fighting games
Post by: videogamesnewyork on March 04, 2007, 02:02:05 PM
Gamecube if u already have Naruto 4 definiteley DON and Bleach.
For ps2 there is a good amount of them:
DON, KOF Neo Wave, KOF XI (we are out at the moment), KOF Orochi, Neo geo Battle Colosseum, Art of Fighting collection, Bleach, just to name some

How's the Bleach Gamecube game played out? I love Bleach, but I've been a little unsure of how good it is compared to games like Naruto 4 and Tenkaichi 2.

Well I can only do Gamecube since my PS2 doesn't have the stuff to play imports. However I was lucky enough to buy a gamecube on e-bay that plays Imports AND USA games

With much thanks,

Edit:
Oh, and so that I can prepare (and save), what are the prices for:
DJ Max 1 and 2
And the Higurashi Ps2 Game (if you have it)?
My guess is around 160 dollars total, but I might be wrong.

It's Battle Stadium D.O.N.  That stands for "Dragonball," "One Piece," and "Naruto."  It's a crossover fighter whose closest parallel is Jump Super Stars on DS.  As the title may suggest, it only features three series though.  If you haven't played JSS, it's a bit more of a stretch, but it's similar to Smash Bros.

Guys, if u want systems please let me know before.
I will fly there so space is limited.
For psp systems I will bring 1 per color so if there are request for more please let me know what color (don't worry you don't have to buy if u are sure but It's a very good indication for me so I know what I have to bring)

About DON it has nothing to do with the crappy One Piece USA release. It's a very good fighting game, probably not as good as Naruto 4 but close to.

It is greates hits.
It's an out of print game. They stop printing it 2 years ago.
When is finish is gone.
It's like FF7 , a greatest hits copy sealed goes for 200/250 a piece , a black one sealed for 400.
Xenogears is getting there too. They stop printing it last october.
Check Amazon to get an idea

Take care

Any out of print Sega Saturn Imports, Playstation, or Super Famicom Anime Related Games you can think of.

And Lastly any Dating Sims you can think of like Tokimeki Memorial or Sentimental Graffiti and Kanon (Whatever you can think of for us Ren Ai Fans)

Any Hard to find Import Japanese Gaming Consoles like a used Japanese White Saturn or Super Famicom for Instance.

Thanks Video Games New York for coming to our Bay Area Anime Convention to test out our exhibit hall.  I hope you will make great business relationships with the Fanime Customers you will be meeting for the first time.  :D

I really like to thank you guys for so many feed back you are giving us.
Please don't stop.
Few more updates...
Dcast games we are definitely going to bring Trigger Heart Exelica and what we have left of Under Defeat Limited Edition
Saturn Jap and SuperFamicom. We will bring only if someone really want the systems. As I say I'm flying there so space is limited.
No problem on Guitar Freaks games and controllers, as well as couple of Sega Fighting Stick for ps3.
Naruto 4 will definitely be there.
We will bring a good amount of Guilty Gear XX Slash for ps2 and Naruto 3 ps2 (39.99 each).
I will say that probably I will be able to get Bleach 4 psp. I probably receive the day I'm leaving. If we do price will be $54.99

Thank you again

I really want the Japanese version cuz it's got most of my favorite seiyuu in it! XD I got the American one way WAY back...the complete one for Christmas. Believe it or not, I played Lunar backwards, starting from the 2nd game to the first. It didn't ruin anything for me though. The first one pulled me in more, but both are GREAT games. I bought the Japeanse lunar TWICE, because the first one woudl always get stuck after one point -__-. Oh well..it was worth the money! I can read most of the characters since I actually take japanese now. Cept for the Kanji...I can't read too much of it...and even if I don't understand what's being said, it's still cool to be able to read Japanese XD hiragana and katakana anyway..

Ouendan! 2 - it comes out on the 17th, so there'll barely be time, but it should be so awesome...

.. and whatever else is hot and out in Japan by con time.

Quote from: "Stormfalcon"Got a question about the PS2 loading discs.  Will they let you load import PS1 games as well as PS2 ones?

If they refer to Swap Magic, probably not.

If it's something else (more likely, since apparently it works with 'any PS2'), then I can't say anything.

-=-

As for imports that I want, perhaps you can bring a good stock of Bemani? Bring Dance Dance Revolution, beatmaniaIIDX, GuitarFreaks, drummania, and pop'n music over with their respective peripherals, whether or not they're the official ones or not, and I'll do two things: bow down to you and hand you my wallet.

Also, still in the realm of music games excluding the mentioned DJMax Portable 1 and 2, it'd be awesome if you could bring in Taiko no Tatsujin.

In addition, IIRC, there's a PS2 version of Mushihimesama. If there is? Bring it on. :D

Will you be bringing over Idol M@ster? I've recently seen it, and I've heard it's quite popular in Japan, so I really want to buy the game and try it out.
Also, uh... it isn't possible to play a Japanese Xbox360 game on an American Xbox 360, right? Is there some sort of swap disc/ mod disc for that?

Hey VideoGamesNY!  Do you happen to sell Nintendo DS Screen Protectors made by the Japanese 3rd party company Hori?

I do not like the Gamestop/EB/Gamecrazy ones that are sold domestically due to issues of sticky residue and bubbling while applying them to the DS Touch Screen.

Also do you have any hard to find old school Saturn and Dreamcast Games?  Thanks.

(Looking for a copy of Fire Pro Wrestling S Six Man Scramble and Japanese/USA Burning Rangers)

Thanks for responding to my post along with the others in this thread.  We really appreciate your customer service in helping the Fanime Attendees out.

Xenogears is getting there too. They stop printing it last october.
Check Amazon to get an idea

Take care

giulio

o.o

FF7 is $15-20 for a GH version (I got a used one for $5 a year ago). The original copy goes for about $50-60, not 400. Where are you getting these numbers?

And will you be bringing KH2 Final Mix?

as u can see a greatest hits used with disc only is more than $50 a new copy greatest hits is over 100 and there is not even a new copy black label that trust me is going for around $400

That's were our numbers come from

We will bring Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix price I still don't know 74.99 or 79.99. we are still expecting restock

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say no they won't.

Why? They have to bring crap back with them. They already are trying to limit the amount of stuff they have to bring on the plane, they won't want to chance coming away with more than they can carry by offering to buy games off of fans.

10,000 people coming to Fanime, could you imagine what would happen if the word got around? Everyone would go home, grab all their games and sell them to get the latest and greatest imports.

Not really smart business wise...although it would be more do-able if they were stationed in CA.

Don't Worry I talked and met with the owner of Video Games New York at the Fanime 2007 Dealers room and his name is Giulio.  Whenever he starts replying to the Fanime Boards again I will try and see if He can Obtain Suzumiya Haruhi no Yakusoku PSP Limited Edition Box Set and Suzumiya Haruhi no Tomadoi PS2 Limited Edition Box and as many Limited Edition Box set games and the best and rarest Import Items he can sell at Fanime.

Giulio is a great guy and whenever he is not busy he will respond to this thread again.  But until then all we can do is wait or otherwise e-mail the owner.

Thanks to all Fanime Attendees that done business with Video Games New York at last years dealers room.  More surprises coming in the next couple of months.

Para Para Paradise Arcade will be at Fanime 2008 again thanks to On Campus Entertainment the vendor that provides arcade games for San Jose State University and Fanime.

PPP console version will not be at the E-gaming room due to contractual agreements with E-gaming and arcade.

But I may or will request a Para Para Paradise Game and Controller Combo Set if you wish to order it from the Dealers Room.

Just private message me naruto_ramen_1 and I will take care of you on that request.  Just make sure you have a Japanese PS2 or some other method I cannot mention in this board to run the console game.

To All Fanime Attendees.  I got in contact with Giulio the owner of Video Games New York and he is vacationing in Italy right now till Feb 12th.

So far this is his e-mail:

I'm in Italy at the moment for vacation. I'll be back on February 12.
I will tell you the week after what we can get and what we cannot.

PSP Suzumiya Haruhi no Yakusoku Premium Box we do have few in stock so
don't worry (including the stripper, he he that's how I call the
figure).
We have 1 more PSP FF7 Limited Edition but is very pricy, as well we
have the Star Ocean one. For the ps2 LE I know we order them but I
don't know if and what we received.
Guitar Freaks games and controllers as well as Para Para not problem,
we have them.
We will bring a very big variety of games and systems. The accessories
depends of how we can organize the shipping.

Talk u soon

giulio

(To Poster above me)

Most likely he will have Initial D for the PS2.  (If its the new one please leave a request) for sale since its very popular and as for that limited Edition Final Fantasy Crisis Core PSP with the packed in game he has one in stock but its very pricy.

When Giulio gets back from his vacation I will ask him to post in the Fanime Boards again.  Until then you have to wait.

To the two posters above me.  When the owner of Video Games New York (Giulio) comes back from his vacation in Italy after February 12th I will e-mail him and ask him to respond at the Fanime Boards and he will take special orders and requests.

Until then sit tight and wait a bit.

I'm curious. Do you have any copies of the original Ouendan? And if so, how much do you think you'll be charging for it?

Many Thank You's Giulio!  How was Katsukon by the way!

Can you help me look for a PSP Game for my friend?  I am looking for DJ Max 1 Portable the Uncensored Version of the game that came out in 2006.

(Please read 3 posts above me under Shinsengumi)

I would also like to request Lucky Star the Deluxe Box if you still have any in stock.  Also Please provide Both Haruhi Suzumiya Games regular and limited edition for the PS2 and PSP for the anime fans that are looking for it.

Xeluu Video Games NY charged each Ouendan Game 50 bucks when I bought it last year at the convention.

To all Posters on this thread.  I happened to get Japanvideogames.com from Temple City Los Angeles as a backup Video Game Import Dealer to cater to all 10,000 Plus attendees.  Please patronize both VideoGamesNewYork and Japanvideogames.

We are very forturnate to have both of them and I am asking both to be sponsors in this years E-gaming Department.

If you are looking for older imports VideoGamesNewyork Specializes in them like the Saturn, Playstation, Dreamcast, etc.  Along with the current gen games.

Japanvideogames specializes in the current gen Imports.

Here is the link to their thread.

http://forums.fanime.com/index.php/topic,8888.0.html

Lastly for those that want to try out and or participate in a tourney here are the rules:

http://www.fanime.com/events/e-gaming

Richard, My friend Vincent, JTchinoy (the Tourney Coordinator) are going to provide prizes to people that participate.  Right now its still in the works.

Again please patronize both VideoGamesNewYork and Japanvideogames.

If you need to talk with the owners here are their names:

VideoGamesNewYork: Giulio

JapanVideoGames: Kenny Huang.

Thanks to all that put in requests and I hope you guys get what you want at this Years Fanime 2008.

Title: VideoGamesNewYork will not be at Fananime
Post by: videogamesnewyork on March 27, 2008, 11:34:26 AM
Sorry guys but unfortunately we had to pull out of Fananime.
We have another convention at the same time (they moved the date) and we decided it makes not sense to get anpother team to go to Fananime.
It's not cost effective.
Thank yo anyway for your support
