If i like a series enough, I'll buy it. Manga, anime, anything related that i can get my hands on, with means of getting the cash to do so.

Thanks man. I just need the money now. A HRAP2 will do me good in that Guilty Gear. I've gotten so used to Sanwa buttons for jap style sticks. I might buy a MAS as well. MASes are sick as hell, and are great for mvc2, once you break in the stick though, man that thing is stiff as fuck.

the tv

I see that you have some sticks. I've only used HRAPs like..... twice. I need to go buy myself 1 or 2 of those, the tekken sticks are just not cutting it, how much do they go for again?

Justin Wong lol, he seems like a really asshole type of guy to me. But at the same time, a really chill person. But then yeah, hes not humble at all, Camera man- "Hey Justin Wong, how do you do this?" JWong- "Its just magic man"

When he said that, it made me think of him as a little arrogant.

Iron Man: Great infinites, has an easy one- launcher, hold forward jump, lp, lp, lk, fp, repeat
and also has a hard one- uhhhh...... in the air, mash buttons, fly, unfly, mash buttons, repeat.
Morrigan: the Magneto of capcom
Sakura: uhhhhh.... her 'upper' amazingly goes threw everything.

Overall, with the exception of Sakura, I think you have yourself a decent team.

For good vids of Iron Man, go watch "Illan" or "Killa Kelly" on youtube or something.

Good characters to look for in a team
Doom- has great assist (anti-air) and pairs great with Strider for 20% health chip damage
Strider- fast, can whiff a lot of moves, can OTG alot of his moves, combos really well into Doom's assist, and has a lot of mix up
Storm- fastest character in the game, easy combos that DO damage, and has a great mix up game
Magneto- the most infintes in a game.... EVER
T Bonne- Projectile assist is glitched and WILL KILL YOU when combo'ed
I would post a lot more, but then I would have enough to make an MvC2 thread.

If anyone wants more though, SRK. Or youtube tutorials, or you might just be able to get some info off of me if i know it.

edit again: if you play this game, play it on either the arcade cabs, or on the DC, the PS2 and x-box versions are NOT arcade perfect and are considered TRASH by pro players.

GGPO 3S 100$ right now. ... ... ...

Morrigan sucks in MvC2. Doom is a horrible assisst for anyone that isn't Sent or Strider. Strider is ONLY good with doom as an assisst, and if you have near flawless game play. Absolutely no one plays StriderxDoom anymore except for Clock. Storm is slower than Magneto... and Sentinel for that matter. Magneto doesn't have the most infinites in a game... ever. Seeing that COTA infinites or XvsSF infinite numbers are astronomical. There's a reason a lot of us call XvsSF a puzzle game... and not a fighting game. T.Bonne assist won't kill you, it's just extra damage since it doubles damage if your in hit stun when it hits you. PROBLEM... if you can't land it, you just wasted a slot where you could have had a good AA assist instead.

PS... DC VERSION ISN'T ARCADE PERFECT wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. It's just the CLOSEST thing to being arcade perfect that's out there. It's great how you don't list Sentinel, who is arguably best character in MvC2.

For someone offering money matches, you very much sound like a scrub.

Colorado? Where at. I'll have someone else MM you. I know plenty of people in Colorado.

I didn't list sent because I was in a hurry. I think that Storm is faster than Mag, but the the way mag is played and how often he is used, he looks way faster. I live in Colorado Springs.

I'm not that great, but I can hold my own for a bit. I will put money down regardless if I'm better than you or not, I just like having fun and I still consider myself a scrub since I can't really practice anymore, my copy is gone, and my stick is broke, and I don't know a thing about making my own sticks.

A friend of mine uses team clockwork, but hes probably as good as clock jr from the vids I've seen of that guy.

I see what you mean from what you take in my posts and I was exxagerating a bit, but I still see your point. Great arguements. lol. You made me feel extra scruby.

Edit: Man..... I played recently, and a ffew months of NOT practicing made me play like shit. I can't play Sent as good anymore. I need a new stick, or a converter atleast, and also I need a copy again.

28 Weeks Later just made me vomit, it made me realize why I hated 28 Days Later as well.

Any movie that you've never heard of, that's when you KNOW it was a shitty sequel.

Man.... I only have a few mangas (40 or so), and like...... 10 posters that I don't even hang up, seeing all these rooms, I want to hang up my posters now, though minimal. I also have a few figures, a capcom girls set, Saber PVC statue, and Haseo from .Hack GU.

No problem man. I never understood all that either till I looked around a bit. I thought that it would be more like the mainstream stuff and go qcf+p for the 'fireball' moves but its like 236+P.

I play Marvel vs Capcom 2, Guilty Gear AC, 3rd Strike, Arcana Heart, and a little bit of CvS2 competitively. I'll put money down for any game.

Teams & Characters I main for each:
MvC2: team Santhrax, Team Matrix (main)
GGAC: Slayer (main), Bridget, HOS
3rd Strike: Akuma, Makoto (main), Dudley
Arcana Heart: Aino (main), Saki, gothic loli (always forget how to spell her name)
CvS2: Dan, Sagat, Rock, Nakaruru, Evil Ryu, Akuma, Kyo, and many others.

Uhhh, you are aware Evil Ryu is not allowed in CvS2, right? And I'm willing to take your offer on the CvS2 money.
i think he just mains with evil ryu outside of tournament play, and its damn fun watching people play in money matches.

Yeah, E. Ryu is just fun as hell to play.

My main team is usually Maki, Cammy, and either Terry or Kyo.
play around team is Akuma, E. Ryu, and Dan.

And I would play you Mizuki, but I now live in Colorado. dammit

i use a pad, still trying to get accustomed to playing on stick....and i haven't played GGAC in AGES.

also, i don't know any of the technical speak, so all of the shit that Emerge put up three posts ago i don't fucking understand at all.
The numbers are the directions on the pad/stick:
           b.jump l jump l f.jump
               7        8         9
Back         4  Neutral(5)   6    direction character is facing
               1        2         3
Defensive Crouch l crouch l offenseive crouch

IAD is Instant Air Dash, you jump in a certyain direction, and then hit that direction again to dash instantly.
FB is a Force Break
P is punch
K is kick
S is slash
HS is High/Hard slash
D is dust

A stick set-up is:
789        K S HS
456        P    D
123

The funny thing is.... I started on pad. When I first picked up a stick, I thought it was too hard to use. But as I got more time to actually practice with one, I got so use to it, that going back to controller was beginning to get harder and harder. So I stuck with the stick. FRCs are now a thing of the past to me, I just hate how you have to have perfect timing with that.

And Slayer's BBU may be cheap, but it'll lose to a real upper lol.

I guess Slayer and Bridget are being used pretty widely now lol. I remember being one of the only Bridget players and picking Slayer lol. Bridget is hard to use but is so sick, Slayer is just..... pimp. I basically swear by the arcade stick by the way and can't use the controller because I suck with it lol.

I would hella be down for this. What are everyone's character? Do you guys use assist? If assist was okay, then I would use Gaara with Temari assist, if no assist was allowed, either Sai, or Rock Lee.

Damn that Toki!!!! Him and his crazy Jesus Beam!!!!!! A stupid combo into instant kill....... damn........ I'd personaly use that Kenshiro, since you know, hes the main character. But I hate seeing this all the time:

TOKI
WIN
PERFECT

Or something like that... its been forever since I've played.

lol Emerge, it seems like not many people in your immediate area play any gg. It can get crazy playing other people though, you'll never know what happens between other players. Jam is a really interesting character, so you'll find yourself doing things you never did in #R or /. As long as you get the basics down, which you should have, you can be destroying people soon once you get used to fighting other players.

I played gg agaisnt other players for the first time in awhile last night...... Great stuff. I won like...... 50% of the time but lost to my new friend Alex 100% of the time I played him. His Baiken is beastly, good enough to take out 3rd in state's Baiken. Looks like I'll be practicing non-stop from now on and also try to get some Marvel time in lol.
