Title: Your MvC2 team
Post by: TheAsianDude on November 14, 2008, 07:11:20 PM
So how're you gonna set up your team? for me the team i'll be playing as:
Strider - Doom Trap Team( Dr. Doom, Strider Hiryu, and Cable )
Here's to hoping I'll have a fair match with my opponents
( hoping for non - Magneto/Storm/Sentinel pros.......)

Blackheart/Sent/Commando
Blackheart/Cable/Commando
Sent/Cable/Commando
Sent/Doom/Commando
Storm/Sent/Psylocke
T.Bonne/Sent/Juggy

I didn't do as good this last Fanime even with my best team and walked away with only this...=\ (as compared to a 27 win streak 2004 a while back?...forgot).

I'm getting too worn out and old for this game..-_-;

Huh? I suck now with all honesty. I was better back in the days when I played in Circus Circus in Reno on my vacation trips during x-mas and Summer break.

But yeah, I'm pretty pissed off OakTree is gone since it was the only place close to me that had the game. The only other place I can go to from where I live is Metreon... which cost me $5 on BART back and forth...-_-;

Oh... nvm then...

Well anyways my team is usually...

War Machine/Sakura/Morrigan

But I'm thinking about trying some other characters...

Yea, they still have it; its in the far right corner of the arcade on the second floor.

Even though i suck at MvC2, i still like playing it for fun(although i haven't played it in ages...).

I actually play it on DC instead. I have it for the PS2 as well, but it feels weird.

I'm probably going to pig out there when I go back during x-mas.

If I'm getting beat by Juggy/T.Bonne/Sent team, there is something wrong with me...-_-;

Well I mean the controls aren't much different (other than the fact the L/R button on the top of the controller are HUGE where you can accidentally press them if you place them on your legs).

And yeah, it's the huge silver one.

AHVB as in Air Hyper Viper Beam as much as possible? i've been trying to practice that but it's frickin hard to do ( if you mean starting to do it from ground and jumping in the air and at the right moment which is like a millisecond to me you input the command and you pull it off )

It's actually really easy once you get used to it. I never practiced it on a system or anything (I mean... unless you're trying to practice Iron Man, Sent, Magneto etc etc inf. or something..-_-;). To get better, you play against good people and not the cpu all day. You should play at the Metreon sometimes.

I think it was a jp game of your choice or something. Being a jp game, the only one I would have wanted would have been Melty Blood... which I wouldn't have be able to play since I don't own a jp or modded PS2..~_~

Huh? I suck now with all honesty. I was better back in the days when I played in Circus Circus in Reno on my vacation trips during x-mas and Summer break.

But yeah, I'm pretty pissed off OakTree is gone since it was the only place close to me that had the game. The only other place I can go to from where I live is Metreon... which cost me $5 on BART back and forth...-_-;

Metreon has MvC2 there? i don't remember seeing it....well maybe cuz it was back in '06 i think. i'm just sharpening up my skills since i got MvC2 for my ps2 at 15 bucks XD

I actually play it on DC instead. I have it for the PS2 as well, but it feels weird.

Reason is what I said above, trash port.

*cries* I miss my Dreamcast.......

You think YOU miss your DC. Trying feeling like an idiot like me when I brought home my DC but forgot my power cord for it back at college..=_=;

DC Power cord is a generic cord iirc, I can check, I'm sure it uses the same as original Xbox.

Oh, forgot I use Cyc, Cable, Sent because I suck and had the popular BRNSNTRN teach me in like 20 minutes one day.

wwwwwwwww...

I love listening to people talk about a game they don't know anything about. It's so fun.

PS2 ver of MvC2 is horrible, with random horrible property changes that make the game basically unplayable. The Xbox version is almost as bad.

Frankly, if you can't notice the differences... you really suck.

AHVB is... easy as hell. Seriously, in the grand scheme of things... if you can't do something as simple as 41236+PP which is a command for a lot of regular moves in a lot of games (Tiger Knee). Then how can you do complicated stuff like Iron Man infinite setups, Unfly combos, etc.?

Easy in arcades, hard on home consoles.....

That port sucks too.

Get a Dreamcast, it's like 30 dollars, find MvC2, which isn't too hard, once in awhile I come across it on ebay CHEAP, get a converter which is 15, all that is probably cheaper than figures people buy.

Tbh, I was pretty upset when the MvC2 tourney at last year's Fanime which was supposed to be a DC version of MvC2 got replaced by the PS2 version on a 10 inch TV. Yeah, fun...

Anyways TC, if you get a chance, I do also suggest getting a DC and getting MvC2 for it. It's no arcade of course but at least it isn't shit..-_-;

Everything shouldn't cost more than the price of a PS3 game. And besides, you can also get Third Strike, Puzzle Fighter, Power Stone etc etc =D

I can second confirm that the power cord to the DC is just generic.  I use my PS2's cord and just swap it back and forth.  Hmmm...

PS3 game: $60
____________

DC: $30+
MvC2: $30+/[free if you know how]
-it really is a popular game and I doubt you can find it below or near this pricing.

Converter (controller right?): $15 or DC Arcade stick: found mine for $40

total: you're looking at $60+

... I don't think you'd get a 100 with those three... ... ... War Machine would only get you like 30 or so, Bulletta is only another 30, Morrigan is only like 25.

But... ... ...

No never mind I'm not going to get into this retardedness.
